It's certainly unprecedented times with Covid restrictions. And I thought he wouldn't be able to cope without me going with him inside for the first week. And I was very doubtful if they would be able to handle him and help us feel at ease. BUT we could not be more impressed and happier!! With literally everything. From the moment they called me to say they're open and have availability, to my son's first day of school and all the great updates I receive. Let me start with their great Covid precautions. It's truly difficult times for everyone and they're taking it seriously. Classrooms are cleaned regularly. Teachers and students are screened daily and parents are not allowed inside. I know how hard and strange that sounds (trust me I never had let my son out of my sight). But they're more than happy to have as many zoom calls as you like with directors and teachers. Ms Ebony, Ms Jen and our teacher Ms Martha always are there available and with a big smile under those masks. They send hourly updates, pictures and videos. They answered ALL my concerns. And most importantly I see that my son is actually excited to go to "school." Next I like to point out the diversity in the class. I am very happy to see that. Diversity is one of our big priorities and we are more than glad to see it at this center. Lastly the app makes all the difference. I'm glued to it at times (I can't help it ) and they are on top of it. Simply a pic, video or a few lines of how he's doing makes a difference. Overall we are very happy so far. Wish it was back to normal times so I could have become more involved, but considering everything that's going on, this place is doing everything right. Thank you to the great staff and teachers and we are excited to work with you and watch our son grow :) PS. Almost forgot! We ended up going somewhere else and it worked out the best we could've asked for so in a way happy we never got a call back, Leah Kidger was the one we had did the tour with-- Also the place seems chaotic paperwork all over the tables when you walk in, no real organization. Not only that but you can hear the teachers yelling at the kids during naptime which was really off putting. Everything works out for reason and after reading the reviews glad we didnt go with this place.

Her kindness, attentiveness, and calm demeanor gave us confidence that our daughter was in great hands. We especially want to give a shoutout to Mrs. Veronica in K1, who cared for our youngest daughter. She is warm, personable, and incredibly thoughtful in the way she connects with kids. She really took the time to understand our daughter inside and out, which meant so much to us as parents. Mrs. Veronica was also always available whenever we had questions or needed anything, and she was so understanding during those moments when we forgot extra clothes or little essentials. She has a wonderful way of meeting families where they are, without judgment, and creating a supportive, welcoming environment. We feel very lucky to have had her as part of our daughter's experience!

As we conclude our final week at Action Day Lincoln, I wanted to take a moment to formally express my appreciation for two amazing programs that they hosted. The first was the Multicultural Celebration on 2/19/26. I was pleased to see it organized, but I didn't think I would have time to attend. When I arrived that evening for pick up, our child was excited about trying to visit some of the wonderful stations. We only stayed for a short time, but the experience of my child getting a Passport to get stamped at the different country stations and try food and learn about each country was so positive and uplifting. I was so honored to be a part of the Action Day community beautifully representing the diversity and value that each family brings into it. The second was the Innovation Night on 3/19/26. After the experience of the Multicultural Celebration, I made an effort to ensure we had time to explore and enjoy the experience. We spent more time during this event and it was both fun and informative for the children. I could say more about why these events were so impactful, but I'll simply express that the demonstration of inclusion and innovation were so well organized that I can honestly say that they were the two best events I've attended in the almost 10 years we've been with Action Day. He was in Action Day's infant program from the time he was 5 months until he was 1, then we took a short break and now he's back as a 1.5 years old. I'm writing this review because I had a hard time finding information about how daycares handle food allergies when I was looking through reviews myself. Jamie has done so much to help us feel confident sending our son (who is severely allergic to milk and eggs) to daycare. She worked out plans to keep him safe during meal time when other toddlers are eating his allergens, and ensured staff were all trained in how to handle allergic reactions. She even visited the local fire department to inform them about the severity of his allergies and ensure they were prepared to find their way around the campus should they ever need to. Additionally, our son has a great time every day and all of his teachers have been attentive, warm, professional, and easy to communicate with! Shout out to his current teacher, Miss Maria, who takes extra care to apply lotion to him all day long and does frequent diaper changes to keep his eczema at bay.

Grace was exactly what we were looking for. The classes are small, the teachers are amazing and the parent community is so nice. During the last year, the classes were smaller than normal and some of the instruction was on Zoom, so I got a little more insight into what goes on in the classroom than I have in previous years. I can't tell you how impressed I am! Every single activity the kids do is prepared with so much thought. The kids are having fun and learning so much in the process. My oldest two girls left pre-K well prepared for Kindergarten. The school is play based, but they ensure the kids learn everything they need to know for a successful start in elementary school. I've sent my child to WOD for fulltime daycare and have had a wonderful experience. When I first…read morestarted, I was hesitant because of one bad review regarding a political view. However, for the past few years, I have learned that the review was false. The teachers are very careful regarding things like that. I have grown to love this school and have been glad with my choice. The school may be difficult to see or find because it is located towards to back of Argonaut Elementary School. But, I like that it is far away from the street. I would avoid drop off during the elementary drop off and pick up times as some TK and Kinder parents park where they aren't supposed to. Luckily, drop offs can occur as early as 7:30am and pickup as late as 5:30pm. There is an online check in and checkout system. Therefore, my husband and I know if pickup and drop off has occurred since the notification via an app goes out only to those authorized for pickup. The class size is small, and from time to time, I get pictures or videos sent. The teachers are pretty caring and know the kids personally. Luckily, my child has taken a liking to the school from day 1. I've seen other kids who have cried at drop off but the teachers, from what I've seen from the past few years, have been patient with them and are experienced in allowing the child to adapt. The teachers have been teaching the kids to be independent, which I've been impressed with my child's progress. Also, importantly, Ms. Jennifer is accessible when I have questions. Although the school is play-based, my child has been coming home learning how to write her name and the alphabet in a fun way. Overall, I've been impressed with the school and expecting to enroll my next child when of age.

The teachers often prepared various new materials for babies to play with and it was always a lot of fun to observe how they reacted to the new sensory experiences. I also liked the design of the infant room that encouraged our girl to crawl and to stand up and cruise. I'm quite sure that if she didn't attend this daycare, these milestones would take her much longer to reach. As for the teachers, when I picked up our girl, I sometimes staid a little longer to play with her and what I observed was a loving environment where all babies were well cared of and if some of them was fussy the teachers always tried to comfort the baby the best they could. I was very nervous (naturally) when selecting a school. The headmaster, Ms. Madlen, made my hesitated go away. Ms. Madlen is an experienced preschool principal who selects only the best teachers. Ms. Madlen and her staff would always communicate with me and send me photos. I always knew my son was being cared for and that his needs were being addressed. Together, I worked with the staff on potty training. It was so great that this staff helps families accomplish that phase of life. I also appreciated how thoughtful their progress reports were each trimester. The teachers really care and put so much effort into what they do. They all deserve a MAJOR pay raise. My son came from the program having great academic instruction that will help him to excel at a public TK classroom. My son has a rich vocabulary now because of Hearts and Hands. He knows how to express feelings and handle conflicts. He also walked away with a foundation of faith and love for Jesus and prayer. This is all because of Hearts and Hands. This school puts so much devotion into what they do. They host beautiful concerts, family events, and fun activities and themes for the children. As an educator myself, I could not recommend a better school for small children. I wish my son could stay longer. We just loved our experience.
