( I have very good insurance so I was shocked that it cost so much) and I just so happened to have a cavity in between a filled tooth and a back tooth so that was $700. I thought those prices for my insurance was insane.( my insurance only covers $1000) so I was going to have to pay $1100 for everything. I wanted to second option so I did and this 5 star dentist in Deer Park did not find any cavity and told me if I wanted laser cleaning treatment it was going to be $160 out of pocket. Mind you, the dentist here at this location at Centra was very informative but felt like didn't treat her assistant well nor knew what she was doing. It is not a place I would come back to or recommend to anyone unless you want to give up a couple $1000.

I called ahead to make an appointment and asked if they accepted my dental insurance. They told me they did, even though they are a private practice. I received a basic cleaning, X-rays, and a comprehensive oral evaluation--just like at any other dental office. However, when I finished, I was charged $272.90 with insurance. In my experience, these services have always been 100% covered, even out of network. I was never informed of the cost before being taken into the room and having the cleaning done. When I questioned this, they told me it was my responsibility to ask about pricing and that they were not obligated to inform me beforehand. I took it as a lesson learned for not asking in advance, since I had never had to pay for a basic cleaning before. About a month later, I received another bill for an additional $155.40. I called regarding these new charges, and the person who answered said she would escalate it to the manager. Two months later, I was sent yet another charge--this time $20 for a "processing fee." Their reasoning was that I did not respond to their attempts to contact me, even though I had been the one consistently calling them about the bill. The front office staff refuses to take any responsibility or accountability. They deny everything and shift the blame back onto the patient. At this point, I feel like I'm being scammed. Don't rely on the Google reviews--they appear to delete negative feedback. Most of the photos also seem to be posted by the business owner rather than real patients. While the front of the office looks nice, the interior appears old and run-down. Claims of having "modern technology" are misleading--either posted by friends or by people who haven't experienced truly up-to-date dental offices. This place seems focused solely on money, with questionable billing practices and unethical behavior. I was charged over $400 for a basic cleaning and X-rays--services that are performed elsewhere for far less, with no difference in quality. When I call Brident, it is the number to Western Dental. I reached out to the lender, Sunbit, and they inform that they only received a request for a price adjustment, not a full refund. I am currently seeking an attorney as I refuse to let this go. I am leaving this review on any and every platform so that others are aware. I would leave no stars, but it isn't allowing me to.
