I know dancers who have learned from her and they all have been very happy and well-trained. Her performances that she creates have been nothing short of brilliant. Erin has a passion for her work. She is caring and involved with her school like no one else that I know. If you or your child is looking for a place to learn dance, I'd recommend this school. You will learn correctly - but on a good gradient - not too fast, not to slow - with the end being a wonderful dancer, to your best ability.

This review is based on our experience in Ms. Alexis' Primary A/B ballet class…read more Firstly, I want to give Ms. Alexis a 5 star rating on how well she works with young girls. She was able to magically sweep my 5-year-old daughter away into a fairytale land where she imagined all of her favorite things and learned proper ballet techniques, strengthened and stretched her body, and had fun dancing with her friends. She loved it so much, we wished it was more than once a week and didn't stop for summer break. Something I would like to see more of is the teaching of short dance routines after all of the typical exercises they do. One thing that many of the parents were dissatisfied with was how often there was a substitute teacher, and the general lack of communication there was regarding class schedules and offerings from the office. I hope this review will help you in deciding which program to put your child in, and will provide the school some insite into our experience. We're looking forward to returning for the upcoming fall session!

Limited and time-limited (2 hours max) metered street parking and plenty of paid parking lots. The theater does not have their own self-parking or valet. If you use certain city-owned parking lots you can validate at the theater and only pay $1 for 4 hours (as of the time of my last visit). Check their website for more info. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants around and some awesome Armenian food! Venue 4: Historic, nostalgic Art Deco venue originally built in 1925 and renovated a couple of times. Currently owned by the City of Glendale. Smaller venue with a capacity of fourteen hundred people. Main Floor, Terrace and Balcony seating. It's a small place so virtually every seat is a good seat. Seats are comfortable and legroom is acceptable. They do live performances and also movie screenings. Service 4: Staff were friendly and polite during my limited interaction of getting my ticket scanned at the entrance and being ushered to my seat. Food & Drinks N/A: I did not have any food or drinks there. There are plenty of nice bars and restaurants nearby :)

It's a nicely renovated theater from the height of movie palace development, with lovely Art Deco touches on the walls and ceiling. The seats aren't quite as comfortable as you'd have in newer theaters, but they ARE roomier than the oldest of the Broadway houses in NYC, so I'll consider this a win. I was here to see the annual Oscar Preview event presented by LAist with Larry Mantle and the full roster of film critics that rotate onto his Friday Film Week show. The presentation was well organized and run very smoothly for a one-off, sound was very good, visuals nicely presented, and I get the sense that the team at The Alex knows how to make these events happen seamlessly for their clients. I can imagine it's a nice place to see a film, though I know they also have live performances (orchestras, dance, theater), and I'll make a point fo coming back before too long, as this is a lovely environment with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Glad I finally made it...

Then the lady from the front came to ask me to move in case one of my younger one needed to get up during the show. Fine, but I wish she would have thought of that before I sat down, maybe when she saw me walk in with a young child and decided not to look at my ticket. So I settle down in a seat next to the exit. Two minutes go by and another lady shows up. Does not introduce herself at all. She tells me that there is a loud noise at the end of the show and she is afraid it will startle my child and he will end up ruining the show for everyone. (WOW). She rushes through something about exchanging tickets for another night. Lady, I was so relieved to finally be sitting down and now you're kicking me out? I should have asked if there was an age limit for the show or an age limit for the theater. She should have asked me if I thought my child was mature enough to handle a loud noise. But no, I left embarrassed and furious. And she gave the impression that they don't want young people in the theater. Great. Oh and when my husband was exchanging the tickets she said they're for a night when your kids can stay home. Fantastic. Afterwards, I looked it up. It says right on the website that it's recommended for 15 years and older. We didn't catch that recommendation prior to making plans, my apologies. It would have been lovely to be kindly and compassionately addressed before we walked back and forth in front of everyone and got removed from the theater, in front of everyone especially with such an elitist and hurtful attitude.

Our daughter absolutely thrives here and has discovered a passion for dance and theater. She started out just doing hip hop, but now she takes ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theater and aerial arts. She has made close, life-long friendships and has an incredible mentor in the owner, Cassandra Daurden whom I admire greatly. The performances are professional and spectacular to watch. I can't even believe the aerial skills and singing voices that come from these kiddos! They are not your everyday kids dance recitals, they are stunning top-notch performances. This is an incredible gem and we are filled with gratitude for this amazing DPAC community.
