My small old dog quickly became distressed by the heat (panting, lethargic, vomiting) that I was terrified she wouldn't make it home to Chicago. Thank GOD for Lonny and his team! We were taken in quickly and back on the road with an air conditioned car in less than hour! I am so thankful that today did not end up being one of the worst days of our lives, and we are so very grateful for their kindness and efficiency.

I was able to nurse the car into town, where Aaron was quick to locate a replacement that would arrive early the next morning. In the meantime, he gave me a lift to a hotel and offered to retrieve me when the work was done. By 8:30 am Thursday, I was back on the road! The price was more than fair and the service was top notch. Were it not terribly impractical, I'd seriously consider the 10-hour roundtrip from Fort Collins, CO to have Aaron work on my car every time it needs service. He is that good!!

After researching repair shops in Kearney, I chose this one for my son's 2006 Honda Civic. I called…read moreahead and made an appointment, and when I arrived, they were ready and expecting me. Within a couple of hours, they had diagnosed the issue with the air conditioner and provided me with a couple of options along with detailed quotes. Aaron even went the extra mile and spoke directly with my regular mechanic in Omaha to ensure we were all on the same page. Unfortunately, the necessary compressor wouldn't arrive until the next day, so they kept the car overnight and got to work first thing the next morning. When the AC still wasn't performing at 100%, they pulled everything apart again, installed a better-quality compressor, and reassembled everything--ultimately getting the AC to work perfectly. I primarily worked with Aaron throughout the process, and he went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and that I was completely satisfied. If you're looking for a shop that feels like a spa and offers complimentary lattes while you wait, this might not be your place. But if you value honest, hardworking people in a family-run business who are committed to getting the job done right, you'll be in good hands here. They also offered me their Wi-Fi and had a TV in the waiting area, so I was able to get some work done while I waited.

You would think that the sales and service department would communicate to keep customers happy, but you'd be wrong!!! My wife and I bought a grand wagoneer from this dealership and was told we would have different perks because we bought a wagoneer. One of these perks was getting to have a vehicle to drive if our wagoneer was ever in for service. This happened one time, which makes them liars!! Additionally when you get done with the purchase you get a survey and are coached to give them top ratings guilting you to think they won't be able to feed their kids if they get anything other than a top rating! Shame on us for listening to this advice. Further more, you'd think that being a certified dealership for Jeep they would know how many issues the grand wagoneer has. To date, our wagoneer has been serviced over a dozen times in a matter of 6 months and communication of service being completed or anything else is scarce. Buyer beware!!

When I moved to Kearney, I needed to find a reliable shop for oil changes and general maintenance…read more Before that, my dad always handled my oil changes, so I trusted shops to check fluids and let me know if anything needed attention. Every place I'd gone before -- including my first visit here -- would check visible fluids and recommend top-offs if needed, which I was always happy to pay for. A few months ago, I ended up with a major coolant leak that I didn't catch right away. The last time I brought my car in here, they told me I had a "major oil leak," which honestly isn't accurate. It's a very small leak that may need attention later down the road, but it's not major. What concerns me more is that my coolant was completely empty, and nobody mentioned it. Later that same day, I had to drive about 45 minutes away from town and my car started overheating. Yes, I should've checked it myself too, but after having shops consistently check fluids in the past, I assumed that was still being done. I ended up taking my car to another shop, and they told me that if I had driven much farther, I could've locked up my engine and ruined the car completely. After getting everything else fixed, I brought the car home and my dad changed the oil himself. The other shop never touched the oil, so this issue came from my last service here. We discovered the oil drain plug had been cross-threaded, and we had to use vise grips just to remove it. Now I have to order a replacement oil plug as well. Because of this experience, I won't be coming back. I do hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as a learning experience to better train staff and improve attention to detail moving forward.

I've pulled in just to have them test my battery/alternator to see if that was the actual problem, and it looked like they had begun closing down for the weekend. Shawn looked up the part and told me it was going to be a hefty repair bill... but the item was IN STOCK(!!!), and even though it was 5PM (closing time) on the day before Memorial Day weekend, they would be able to install it within about an hour! They did just that and were very professional and courteous in the 45 minutes it took them to install it. I am extremely impressed and grateful to all of them!! Our experience was fine - they couldn't locate a hydraulic pump and we ended up having one sent from FleetPride. This was just before Memorial Day and we had to stay in Kearney a few days because the part didn't come in until after they closed for the holiday. Once they did put the pump in, we were back on the road. The pump leaked as soon as we headed out, but we were able to get to Michigan and now came back to Kearney to get it fixed. When they had put the pump in, they only changed the seal (O-ring) on one side and we were assured they would change the one on the other side. Imagine our surprise when they charged over $600 to fix the problem that should have been fixed on our original visit! Sad that a good experience turned totally sour. Gone are the days of integrity - had we known they were not going to warranty their work, we would have done it ourselves.

While it should have been taken care of yesterday when I came back to show them, they did apologize for how things were handled. We settled on a $300 refund so I could take the car elsewhere to finish the detail, along with updating this review to reflect how things were resolved. While I'm disappointed it took a bad review and a Facebook post to get to this point, I appreciate that they reached out to try and resolve the issue. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really wanted to support a local business, but unfortunately my experience with Complete Automotive and Tires left me disappointed. I paid $640 for a full detail and expected a truly spotless vehicle for that price. The dollar amount isn't really the issue. It's that for $640, there shouldn't be obvious spots left dirty that any detail should have covered. I've added photos of the areas that were clearly missed: under the seats, between the seats, the door plastic, the roof liner, and the trunk. Partway through, they called to tell me all the pet hair wasn't going to be completely cleaned and that it would cost another $300 on top of the original $640 to finish the job. I declined, because in my mind a $500+ detail should already warrant a completely clean car. I asked if I could just pick it up that day, and they told me the detail wasn't done yet. Fair enough, but at that point I was already frustrated with both the price and where things stood. The next day I wasn't able to pick up the car myself, so I paid remotely without looking it over first (that one's on me) and had my dad and sister grab it. When I finally saw the car, I was genuinely upset and tried to bring it back to show them the spots that were missed. The owner flat-out refused to come out and even look at it, which honestly made the whole thing worse. For $640, the quality just wasn't close to what anyone should expect and the refusal to even look at the issues sealed it for me. Truly disappointed. I'd think twice before bringing your vehicle here.
