On June 20, 2026, we signed a contract with Enhanced Landscaping and paid a $2,250 deposit for landscaping services. After delays and multiple excuses, the company ultimately canceled the job and offered to refund our deposit. No work was ever performed on our property. We were told the refund would take 7-14 business days. After waiting and following up, we eventually received $2,000, but the remaining $225 was never refunded despite multiple attempts to contact the company. Our messages went unanswered, and we were left trying to recover money that should have been returned. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. When I shared my firsthand experience in a local Facebook group where someone was asking for landscaping recommendations, the company responded by suggesting that we were in a tough financial position and should simply order the materials ourselves and have friends do the work. Let me be clear: our financial situation is none of this company's business. They have absolutely no idea what our financial circumstances are, and their attempt to bring our finances into the discussion was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We hired a business, paid the requested deposit, and expected the agreed-upon services. When THEY canceled the job, we expected the promised refund. Rather than address the outstanding $225 professionally, the comments were eventually deleted, and I was blocked. We gave this company opportunities to resolve the issue directly before filing a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General. I am sharing this experience so other potential customers can make an informed decision before handing over their money. I immediately went outside and saw the worker who was three doors down. He came and looked at the damage and said the owner of would be calling me to get this taken care of. I spoke with the owner Chris Hardin and he informed me that he was not going to be paying for the shattered glass doorwall damage that his company caused. I asked if he is licensed and insured and he said yes but he refused to pay through his company insurance or out of pocket for the damage his company employee caused to my property. He said he would not put in a claim on his insurance because his rates would go up but told me to file a claim on my insurance. This is unacceptable as his company caused the damage. I asked him three times if he was sure this is the way he wanted to handle the situation and he said yes and that he would not be paying for the repair. Based on the experience I have had I would NOT recommend this company.

My parents had a 70ft+ tall tree in their backyard, and the trunk was pressing into their garage…read morecausing the garage to lift and shift. I requested quotes via Yelp to remove the entire tree, INCLUDING stump and received four quotes. GTG was the second to most expensive quote, but as a real estate developer, for the risk associated with taking down such a large tree, I would not hire a company that didn't have basic credentials including license, bond, and/or insurance, and was not registered with the state of MI, and in good standing. GTG provided proof of their business insurance, is registered in good standing with MI, and has a A+ BBB rating, although not registered with the BBB. This was a complicated job: tall and wide tree stretched between my parents' yard and their neighbors, touching and shifting my parents' garage, and the 6ft chain link fence separating the yards had been consumed by the tree. Mike, the owner came out to the house for an in-person estimate, and I clearly communicated our main concern being the growing trunk. He put in writing at least three times (texts and quote) that he could remove the stump. When the day came to remove the tree, his team did that work quickly, but once they got to the stump, he said they could not do it due to risk of the chain link fence ruining their saws and stump grinder. We agreed to pay less than his quote for the work ($800), but he also said he would find someone else to do the work. Two days later he emailed a quote ($1400) that was more than what he quoted for the stump removal and said they had to come the same day (a Saturday, and I was out and about) and by another company that he did not tell me the specifics for, so I couldn't research them. Ultimately, GTG could not do the work, but Mike kept trying to tell me how difficult/complicated of a job it was... my response was, "but you knew that when you came out to see the tree before you bid the job!" Mike kept making excuses but would not accept responsibility for sending a bad quote. I think he purposefully misled us to get the work, knowing that he couldn't remove the stump. So, now I have go through finding, meeting, and vetting contractors yet again, to get the stump removed. I'm getting quotes, and one is $3000, so either Mike doesn't know to to bid work, or is dishonest. Mike is very charming, and he uses that to mislead customers. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
