I used Goldies for a few years l ways happy with their job. A little surprised this year when they told me if I don't use them for my Spring and fall cleanup they won't mow my lawn any longer(I found someone else to do my cleanups much less expensive and did a good job as well. read more

We needed our entire paver patio, driveway, and sidewalks to be reset. The stoops out the rear and side doors had also settled. Goldy's power washed, cleaned, and reset all the pavers. The "step down stoops are wider and safer with this install. Everything looks brand new. There had been a trench from a generator install and the supervisor of the crew offered to grade, reseed, and edge this area as well. Same attention to detail as with the pavers. The crew was quick, particular to details, and went above and beyond their quoted work. Not only does everything look fresh and new, and the crew added a few sparkly-coordinating colors of pavers to add some contrast!!! Perfect!!! The work was even completed a day earlier than expected. I feel like a have found a gold mine in Goldy's! When I called I honestly wasn't expecting much. My frustration level was sky high because the other landscaping services I contacted just did not impress...lack of communication and one actually told me to spray everything dead and then call him!! Really??? I do have a fairly large yard with a lot of issues and was in dire need of a skilled landscaper. So, GG came out within 2 days to assess the property and I knew immediately I wanted to hire him. He's very personable, has excellent communication skills, very knowledgeable, and exuded confidence which made me feel comfortable that he's able to do the job well. He assured me that I will not be disappointed and he was right! I am truly beyond satisfied. His crew of 3 was incredible! They worked very hard and were extremely professional. I didn't have to micro manage and when the job was finished, Isaac, the crew supervisor, gave me a quick rundown of what was done. They even cleaned up my front yard which was not part of the contract at no extra charge. Thank you so much!! I'm hiring them to do maintenance and other projects as there's more to do. I called for a quote to have my senior mother's back and front lawns tended to on a biweekly/monthly basis, plus seasonal snow removal. I provided the address and was told that they would go check it out in person and give me a call back with a quote within a few hours. 48 hours later, I received a call stating that after they visited her house, they determined that they do not service THAT area, which is literally 2 minutes (via Google maps) from their location. If location is a determining factor, they could have easily plugged the address into their GPS app/device, and came to the same conclusion without taking the trip to the location. I believe the decision was discriminatory because Southfield is a predominantly ethnic community, but I digress. read more

I called to get a quote for my elderly moms home for snow removal and he quoted me a price that was almost triple what I pay in WB for a driveway that is triple the size. I pay $250 for 10 pushes up to 6" and then $25 per push after that. Last couple of years ended up paying about $340 - $400 total. I am more that willing to pay for the work but not in advance for work that may never be required. I guess everybody has to make a living but would have hoped for fairer pricing. read more

I rarely review small businesses and services, but GG and the Goldy's Landscaping crew exceeded my expectations, so I want to share my testimony. I travel a lot for work, so yard maintence slips on my priority list. My backyard needed some major clean-up and a refresh. I originally called Four Season, but they were very rude, wouldn't come out to look at my house or hear my needs unless I started a $5k retainer. They asked me to sign-up for a retainer after being on the phone with them for less than :30 seconds, without even hearing my needs - bad business. GG came out to my house the day I called for an estimate and we collaborated on the backyard scenic. Throughtout the process, GG was fair, easy to work with and always responsive to my emails. The day of the work, his team was on-time, worked fast, and the end result, just see for yourself (I'll add photo's to the page). As I mentioned, they exceeded my expectations!
