Well first of all they told us six weeks which turned into 8 weeks. Not a huge deal but we were on a time crunch and having a the company deliver on that time frame was imperative. Also there was a few missing screws which management helped get replaced but the initial employee just shrugged me off when I mentioned the missing screws. When I got home there was some missing end caps to the metal fencing that was powder coated. When I called the only explanation was they must have been damaged in the process. AFFORDABLE.... I think NOT! They Should change their name to GRAB YOUR ANKLES POWDER COATING. God forbid you take a big job, or one that may need some real work to accomplish. Because when you go to pick it up..............(wait for it)............... Grab your your ankles, you're about to get a Proctology exam, and it's going to hurt.... this was a $169.20 exam that left me wondering why? anybody would use these suto Proctologist's. For starters I have used them in the past, when they took pride in doing great work at an affordable price. Two years ago, I took 2- 20mm dummy canon rounds in to have powder coated. They came back beautiful.... COST=$20.00 total. Took 2- 20mm dummy canon rounds in to have powder a couple weeks ago. Picked up today COST=$100.00 total, two other simple items pushed the cost so far up my backside ($169.20) that I now understood the reason they have Proctologist's on staff (they want your money...."NOW" all of it) when I ask why the high price? I never got an answer, just a (we don't give a hoot) attitude from the girl behind the counter.. My advise... use this powder coating establishment at your on risk, ask plenty of questions up front and most of all get it in writing before you say OK.... I have taken a couple of motorcycle projects to these folks with outstanding service. Last 4 bikes wheels and frames, perfect as ordered and priced fair. Affordable has done several projects for me and I'm at it again. Usually they give me a time frame and they call me a smudge earlier to let me know my stuff is finished ahead of schedule. The last project was some motorcycle parts and not only did they rush them for me but they looked up what colors the army actually used for the timeframe and matched it. No other powder coater has put that much effort into customer satisfaction. I'll post pics of my latest build once we get it back. I pre paid for them to powder coat parts for my motorcycle. I to take my parts back to them more than 5 times and then I just gave up and paid another company to fix the parts that were messed up. They did not communicate well, did not perform their work timely and did not do even a halfway descent job. I have heard from others they had similar experiences. They do good work but if you have any kind of deadline you can pretty much plan on not making it! We were promised our project would be complete in 12-14 days .... 25 days later we are still waiting. They have non existent customer service and extremely poor organizational skills. They are adamant that you do not call and check on the status of your project. But when they pass your deadline and you call you get put on hold four times because they cannot find your paperwork. It seems like it's always something with this company.I highly recommend that you search for another powdercoater in the valley. read more

The work was okay but the deal is I called around town affordable gave me the cheapest price then when I pick them up they said they were a little bit different than what I said on the phone so they charged me $200 instead of 150. I spent all that time calling around town and I was quoted one 53 from a guy named Greg but I guess he wasn't there so I did not get the one 53 their prices are very very fluctuating and I will never bring anything back again. read more

I asked a well-known specialty auto parts store in Phoenix where to take my tube headers to be coated and they responded that "there was only ONE place they would recommend, and that was APC on Fillmore St. in Phoenix". I backed that up with one of my engine and car builder friends recommendation as well. So, I gave them a try. They were prompt with a price in an email back to me, told me it would be "about a week" and sure enough in exactly a week I got a call saying the parts were ready. I held my breath when I picked them up, but they looked so good I couldn't believe it. AND, the price was exactly what they quoted me to the penny.
