Biggest mistake ever was hiring this company Jason Gunn and Top Gunn Kitchen cabinets. And came to…read moremy home on 17 June and promised that if I signed a contract with him immediately he would be able to start working in August that was a guarantee that he gave me and it was for that reason that I had chosen to sign his contract he had told me immediately if I signed the contract I would have to pay a $15,000 deposit immediately upon signing his contract to do kitchen cabinets and redo the counter and close a wall in the beginning of August. I contacted him the beginning of August to ask Jason when he was coming to start with my cabinets so that I could clear them all out (he told me I had to have that done)before he came.He told me that he only had two of the cabinets that were sent to him and therefore he will not be able to start in August I asked him when he could start and he said he couldn't give me a date because he did not know when the other cabinets would be arriving and I said to him that you had promised that you will be able to start in August he said well that's not going to happen. I then told JASON "I think that I'm going to sell my property because I cannot get my work done and this house has been a money Pitt" and he said to me that that would be a good thing to do and he then said I have got a realtor that I will ask to phone you . I asked Jason for her number and he said no she will call you and help you sell your place. He then said and I quote "I want you to know if you've decided to sell I will give you all your $15,000 back because we haven't done anything yet and If you just give me about two weeks and I will come and drop off your check.I contacted him after two weeks like he asked and from that time onwards he never turned up for any appointments it was first Friday he'll be there then he would come on Wednesday and then he'll come on Monday and so the weeks went by and he never turned up for any of his appointments to come and pay me my money back .On the 28th of September I sent him a text message to tell him that he had promised to send me or bring me my check and he's never done anything to date. This man did not give me the contract that I signed three signatures on. So upon advisement I am going to take this matter further he then said immediately within a few minutes I received a text message back from him to say can he phone me he phoned me and said he would come and see me the following day he came the following day is the first time I've seen him since he came to see me originally to take measurements of the work he was going to do he came into my into my home and he said I have got two options for you the first option I have got your cabinets and you will have to pay for them and I will give you the other money back that you have paid and I will leave your cabinets on your front Road and you can do with him what you want to and I will give you the balance back and I will charge you $450 for my work I said to him JASON what can I do with CABINETS you were supposed to install them he said you have got to decide what you're going to do I'm going to drop them off here and I'll give you the other money back or I will see you in court you signed this contract that's all that the judge is interested in is your signature on this contract and I said to him but I never received a contract from you I only received one page he said oh you've got it just look at your mail Willy never did he only sent me one page and I had signed three signatures but that never came forward he said to me I will get my lawyer to write you a letter these are your two options if you don't like it I'll see you in court and since then he has made one excuse after the other with his lawyer and so it is dragged on right up into the new year I've never received my money I haven't received anything from him I haven't received any cabinets he hasn't come back he hasn't done any work and it's all in the lawyers hands and I had to get a lawyer so more money that has been paid out this is what this bad man has done he has scammed me ,he's taken 15,000.00 of my money and he hasn't done anything yet at all . I am taking this as far as I can. I'm a disabled 78 year old woman without family in this area. My nephew is taking time off work to come here and help me with all of this. It's not fair to the elderly and these criminals stole my savings and I have nothing to show for it. Please save yourself

We, as customers, rely on the expertise of the company to assess appropriate locations for gates, etc. An attempt at a correction to this gate was made at 6 months but was unsuccessful. The front 10 ft. gate has continued to settle and now will not open without lifting off the ground. It digs in at least an inch and continues to deteriorate. At 6 months, the gate was reversed so it would open at all, as it would only open half way at that point. And yet, I was quoted a hefty sum to replace a gate that should have never been installed at that location, per the actual builder of the fence. Also fence boards have popped off, only a few, that were screwed in at 1/2 inch from the end of the board to the post. Definitely warranty in my view. You posted you don't do flashing when adding a florida room in hernando county, fyi: question "in…read morehernando florida what law, rule or building statue required flashing when a builder adds a florida room? Flashing for a Florida room addition in Hernando County is legally mandated by the statewide Florida Building Code (enforced locally by Hernando County Building/Code Compliance). Specifically, Section R903.2 (for residential roof-to-wall intersections) and Section R703.4 (for exterior wall coverings and openings) require corrosion-resistant flashing wherever the new room's roof or walls meet the existing house structure to prevent water intrusion.Key Code RequirementsWall and Roof Intersections: Mandates step and continuous metal flashing where the Florida room roof ties into the existing exterior wall.Openings & Fenestration: Requires pan and perimeter flashing around all new windows and doors tied into the addition.Installation Method: Flashings must be installed in a "shingle-fashion" or per manufacturer specifications to redirect moisture safely to the exterior."According to Hernando county flashing was required! On 4/11/22, I revised this review after your response stated"you don't install flashing" Screen-pro is a middle of the road company, not great and by there own words are completely inept by not doing do diligence, Flashing is legally required. Although the room was attached to our trailer. I contacted 3 separate companies "all" suggested flashing was necessary for original installation but as all companies do, they didn't want to get involved. after reading your response I added the edits so to explain "They failed to fasten or use any flashing" which the county should have dinged them on. After 2 years we had leaks, (edit) if flashing was done the tape would have still be in place. after 4 years and damage to electronics on porch and my wood deck. They came out and said it was not bad work and they gave me a number of a roofer to repair it. I called another company who re-taped the roof, installed flashing over the edges near the home. Sealing leaks, pictured attached. The first four pics are before, the rest after. I plan on having a complaint filed against them and the county inspector. I highly recommend that anyone hiring this company for similar work or anyone who has hired them and you have issues like leaks, take them to court. File a building code violation. Do not use this company.
