WARNING -- DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP…read more I had been speaking with their salesperson for over a week and made it very clear that my credit is low and that I urgently need a car to work and take my child to medical treatment. They repeatedly assured me that I was approved and that the payment would be about $300 per month. When I arrived at the dealership, they aggressively pressured me to leave a deposit immediately. Trusting their word, I paid $4,500. Only AFTER taking my money did they suddenly change the terms and say the monthly payment would actually be $560 -- almost double what was promised. I refused the deal and requested my money back. Now it has been over 10 days, and they still have my money. They keep telling me to come back "tomorrow" for the refund. Each time I go, they ask for my card again, claim they processed the refund, and then nothing happens. I have already been there multiple times. Today I called my bank, and they informed me that the refund was canceled by the merchant. Meanwhile, my family has been without a car, my wife cannot work (she drives for Uber), and I am struggling to take my child to school and treatment because of this situation. This business uses bait-and-switch tactics, high-pressure sales, and delays refunds while holding your money hostage. Be extremely careful. Read the 1-star reviews -- those reflect the real experience. I would strongly advise anyone to stay away from this dealership.

The first place I took it (Midas Stratford) wanted $950 for a starter and didn't notice the chip was missing. The price was better at Dave's and they fit me in on Saturday, 2 great things. They also diagnosed the problem before replacing a perfectly good part. Midas would have replaced the started and then what?? My chief complaint is that they charged me an exorbitant fee to put the key fob back together and start it. I understand there is time the tech needs to diagnose it. They charged me. $166 for 1.5 hours of labor which was listed no where on the receipt, I had to ask them to write the amount charged and how many hours it took on the receipt, that should be listed on any car repair receipt just like parts and their coat. The labor rate there is $110 an hour and with tax it was $184. Maybe I'm wrong but I can't imagine it took that long to hook up a computer that says the key is the first thing to check. I brought the part down to see if it would start with the chip back inside and they made me go 15 minutes back home to wait while someone snapped it together and inserted it in the ignition to see if it started. How long could it possibly take to put it together1/2 hour???!. Seriously & obviously now I should have snapped it together myself and tried to start it myself and I probably could have stopped the hemorrhaging of money from my pocket. I should have followed gut instinct and said give it back and charge me for the existing labor. I feel like they gouged me for as much labor time as possible. Mind you I'd have paid an hour and been satisfied bc it was really my fault and not theirs. The really sad thing is I would have used them for my next repair which is a rotten muffler that it needed to be fixed yesterday so it can be emissions tested. It makes no sense to cut off your nose to spite your face. Id bet my last dollar there was no way it took a tech 90 minutes to scan the vehicle and snap the key back together. SMH. I wish I could have recommended them because they did fit me in last minute on a busy Saturday. When I asked the guy if he could do better on the price he said " well we could have changed out the starter and charged you for that but we were honest". Seriously, I should be glad you have a conscious!? If the manager wants to refund a portion of my payment I'm going to take this down or make an addendum. I won't be holding my breath, that's for sure! I'll be calling there on Monday to complain and see if I can get I touch with the owner to see if that's how they normally do business. I just think they padded the time it took to fix it. A happy customer will tell a friend but an unhappy customer will tell as many ppl as with listen and tell them to tell their friends who will tell their friends.

I checked out reviews of this place and frankly, I am unable to comment on what it used to be like, but my experience was top notch. After communicating with Tom Truitt and I received enough positive information that I needed to come see the car, I flew out to see/drive it. My experience at the garage was great. I had the opportunity to meet Matt, who was able to answer some of the technical details that I needed to know, and Don who did the final paperwork stuff. I also met the wonderful photographer (I don't recall her name) that takes all the great photos of the cars! The car was in great shape and everything checked out. I did not have anything that remained a question by the time I was ready to leave. We were able to negotiate a deal and have the paperwork signed that day. The only thing that remained was to get the car shipped to me in the Detroit area. Tom worked very diligently to get me a very fair price on the enclosed transportation and he did it very quickly. Unfortunately it is still winter and I can't enjoy this cabriolet for a few more months yet. I would absolutely recommend this place for your automotive needs. If you are fortunate enough to be local, they have storage, detailing, a bar/restaurant and banquet facility, and lots of cars! Pretty sure repairs and restorations are done there as well! I can 100% see myself checking here for my next vehicle. THANKS SO MUCH BLACK HORSE GARAGE!!!

But when I asked to have PPI (pre-purchase inspection) on the car they said can't drive the car to anywhere so ended up towing the car to nearest original Mercedes dealership in Fairfield CT to inspect the car, and guess what !!! the car needs over 11K of repairs (leak on ABC system front and rear, and needs front and rear shock and struts replacement, leak from transmission oil pan, failed on secondary air injection system... and I ended up paying $370 for the inspection by trusting them, so don't buy any vehicle from them without doing PPI (pre-purchase inspection) and by the way the car is still on sale with needs of over $11K repair...
