I recently brought my cart to affordable for minor front end work and new tires. I told the receptionist that my cart is operable so please do not pick it up unless you are ready to work on it... it has now been in affordable "shop" for 11 days and no one has started working on it. the service manager Kirk repeatedly said he would call me yet I get no call. I literally went there in person today(Monday)and was told the parts for my cart have been in since Friday but the tech has been out sick since Friday and no one else can work on my cart... my experience with affordable has been terrible. staff is rude, and lie right to my face... read more

We purchased an NEW Ikon golf cart from Affordable Golf Carts approx 18 months ago. We now need service for the cart and called to set up a service call. Low and behold I am told they do not service Ikon except for tires and batteries. Was never told they were not a dealer, but at the time of purchase I was told about their great service techs and on site at the home usually. Now that is BS Be sure you ask them if they service as an authorized dealer what you are about to purchase. Do not be as stupid as I was, and I apologize to everyone that purchased from them upon my recommendation. I thought con artists were relegated only to automobile lots. We just bought a 2025 Evolution Golf Cart. I called 5 different stores and they all said it would be a month before they got batteries, the website isn't accurate, 2 weeks for delivery, etc. Affordable Golf Carts had an accurate website and is delivering next day, Christmas Eve! They also gave a 3% cash discount. We're very satisfied. read more

Affordable golf carts or anything but affordable they charged me $399 for a controller that I could get same controller off of eBay for 185. They tried to charge me three hours for a diagnosis that took me five seconds to figure out it was the on and off button. Then for something that they did three years ago, that wasn't correct they charged me again for the repair. I would not recommend them and I'm sorry I went there. read more

I brought my golf cart in for a service and they diagnosed and repaired my cart in two days. They communicated with me the whole time and kept me updated. Good quality work at a fair price. Thank you for your fantastic work. read more

I've purchased two golf carts from affordable golf carts. First golf cart was a good experience, ( about 3 years ago ) Shorty after the company was sold . I bought another cart from the new owners and have nothing but negative experiences. Inventory has shrunk incredibly. Customer service is absolutely horrendous. Highly overpriced service. I recommend you shop somewhere else. read more

If you are seeking a real taste of our new normal in the descent of our expectations of honesty and integrity then call Affordable Golf Cart Repair. At 8 critical points they either lied, gave the wrong information and passed forth instructions that killed 4 healthy batteries for an EZ GO GOLF CART and then tried to hold my cart ransom as the final move to extract $1400 from me in an ugly attempt at blackmail/extortion. They were once a good and solid business but now they are chasing the expectations bar down in Customer Service and integrity have actually passed it on its descent. To all in Hernando County, Pasco County, Timber Pines and surrounding communities, if you enjoy being lied to, given false information or omission of charges at every turn by all means use them. Did I mention the blackmail to return my cart? Yes- I did but it is good to underscore that retched experience. They also quote you the highest priced item on their menu of products unless you press them for alternatives. Please do not respond to this post as I only put it out here as a community service to save all a truly miserable, nerve racking and horrific experience. You worked hard all your life to save for life's quality and dealing with them will rob you of both your money and your dignity. read more

worse customer service I have ever received. I have a whole story but the bottom line is they do not care about the customer. all I asked was for the golf cart to be fixed correctly as I never owned a golf cart so I relied on the "professionals " to help me. when I told. CJ this he basically said it was my word against his worker who was let go for these reasons ... CJ told me. anyway don't give them your business they do not stand behind their work. Do yourself a favor and avoid Affordable Golf Carts. We purchased a icon 6 seater in late July 2022. It's been back to the shop three different times for electrical issues, alignment, fluid leaks, balding tires and more. A 3 month old golf cart should MOT have that many issues. Customer service is horrible. Service manager never calls back. I had to call and leave messages for him everyday for a week and still no call back. General manager, CJ, had no empathy for our situation. When I did get to speak to him he was quick to get me off the phone. Take the drive to Discovery Golf Carts on 41 in Land O Lakes....I wish I went with them! read more

My EZGO Cart was having an issue occasionally cutting out while driving. The person who normally helps me with minor repairs on my cart recommended Affordable Golf Carts because they have the equipment to diagnose the issue. I paid for a diagnosis, and I was told I need to replace the Potentiometer, and also that my batteries are bad - they wont charge. I pay the $417 to replace the Potentiometer, but i didn't do the batteries because they were only 10 months old and under warranty. When I got the cart back the problem was not fixed - it cut out EXACTLY like when I dropped it off. Cart didn't even make it around the block before clicking off again. I call back to speak with the technician "George" and I'm told it won't run right until I get the new batteries... I looked at my batteries to see if maybe they were leaking or low on water, because bad batteries after 10 months didn't make sense... Within 30 seconds of lifting the seat I found that one of the nuts on a battery terminal is extremely loose, about 1/4 inch of play. I tightened the nut and it runs 100% perfect now... So essentially, I paid $400+ for an incorrect diagnosis, and Potentiometer I didnt need. I was also told my batteries were junk when the only issue was a loose battery terminal nut... This place has a lot of good reviews so I imagine my experience was probably just a rare oversight, but just a little advise - please check that the battery terminals are tight as part the "diagnoses process". I appreciate your reply, however it is completely wrong. Kevin brought you the cart because he was unable to diagnose the issue. Clearly he wouldn't tell you what to fix if he didn't know what was wrong, that would make zero sense. As far as my batteries, I was told they are weak and I need new ones. However, the batteries are 10 months old and hold a charge just fine. If your reading showed my new batteries are weak, then it was because of the loose terminal. . Bottom line, the cart had an issue cutting out when it was dropped off and it had the exact same issue when it was returned.Kevin brought the card directly from your shop to my office after you finished (with no work being done in between), So I am a little disappointed to see you blame the loose battery on him. Bottom line; The car didn't work, I took it to you and paid $400, the cart still didn't work, I tighten the battery terminal and it works fine. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. Send my golf cart in to get the batteries replaced a week later it was finally done. The new batteries had the studs in a different place and they stretched my battery wires and pulled it out of the fitting. Multiple wires. They sent a guy out to my house to address the situation and he just continued to pull wires harder trying to get them to reach. No extensions were added. My cart has never been the same sense. I do not recommend this business at all read more

Recently went to Affordable Golf carts looking to purchase a golf cart, salesman approached, told him what I was looking for, as were walking around the showroom he told my wife and I he used to work at a Marina, then he had to tell us two more times??? Whatever!! Ok, now you sell used golf carts!!?Anyway showed me a golf cart I was interested in, my wife and I took it for a ride and came back , I liked the cart, and as I was looking around at other carts in the show room and thinking about making a offer on the cart when I heard the salesman trying to get my wife to go for a ride with him, my wife said no, she had just went for a ride with me, she had no desire whatsoever to go for a ride with him anywhere, that is how you lose out on a sale....don't remember his name, little guy, grey hair worked at a Marina at one time......... Denise, In response to your comments about my review, 1st of all there was NEVER ANY questions or comments about any marine batteries whatsoever, we absolutely did NOT discuss ANYTHING about marine batteries.??! I did NOT inquire about marine batteries. I don't know anything about marine batteries or golf cart batteries and don't want to know either!!! Just want to drive the golf cart!! 2nd you disagree 100% that the salesman did not ask my wife to go for a ride in the golf cart, well #1100% I heard him ask her to go for a ride and # 2 100% my wife heard him as well and responded NO, we both heard it very clearly 100%!!! Then he said to my wife is it because of COVID, my says Yeah that's it! Just like the politicians they never try to pick up women or harass them,?figure this guy must be family or real good friend of the owners to not believe that it REALlY did happen! We can't make this s--t up! Whatever!!! Yes and by the way, you say you can't help notice that there 5 negative reviews out there, well if I'm treated negatively I will-let people know how the business treat people just to make them the customer be aware of what really goes on!! By the way I remember when I left Affordable Golf Carts the "owner" seemed to think I was headed to Custom Golf carts, he told me not to do business with Rick at Custom golf carts because he said that Rick used to work for him and said he can't be trusted and that he lies and cheats people!! So it seems Ok for YOU GUYS to leave bad reviews on other businesses but if I do it's a pattern, REALLY???! I'm sure that's was not the first time that's was said about Custom Golf carts either!!!I'm sure there's no patten there either!!!You people can criticize other businesses but if you guys get criticized that seems to be wrong! Remember word of mouth is the best any business can get, and because of your accusations against us saying what we said is untrue I will continue to let people know how you treated us, I have certainly heard many complaints about your business , buyer beware!! You guys are far from the best! By the way we purchased a golf cart at a very good price with all the accessories that we wanted, we were treated with respect, and the sales person , owner and the tech were very professional at what they do, a company like that is the BEST! No nasty comments about other businesses and sales person was the best, that is what I'm talking about!!! read more

False advertising gave me a quote of 69.95.I called them for estimate on my golf cart they said they have technicians in the field for 69.95 I told her great I'm low income elderly may not have the money to fix but was worth me checking.I told her I had to ask my husband and I would get back at her. Hubby says ok 69.95.I called back and we scheduled . The tec comes out and informs us that a very expensive part was out. I told him I couldn't afford the work right now no need to tow it. He told me they call me back for payment .and they did with a bill of a 117.00 I asked what happened to the 69.95 .?Well because you didn't tow it we charge extra ,!you never told me that and he didn't do anything no repairs here at all .!!! rented for January. delivery was made on the 3rd at 4 pm. pick up was on the 29th at 1:15 pm. they wouldn't give us a timeframe and they were only a few miles from our location . besides that, the cart was a piece of crap. seat fell of, back cover had holes in it and cloth seat covers were impossible to dry off. steering was loose and on and on. definitely would never recommend them. read more

Stopped in to look for a second cart. I have a nice one but would like to have another one for doing yard work. I was approached by a sales lady and told her my needs. She then took me to an old white Yamaha for $6000. I was just looking at very nice-looking Red Club car for $4995. She said she didn't have the type of car I was looking for. She had a very negative demeaner, I asked to see Terry or Denise and she said they sold the business. So i guess I won't be going there anymore. I bought a cart and several sets of batteries and some suspension parts there before, but I will not go back. They need to train their salespersons to have a nicer approach. I am a older person and pay cash. read more

Had my used golf cart completely overhauled, paint, rims, tires, light package, motor upgraded, etc., at Affordable. The owner was a pleasure to work with. This was my first golf cart purchase and The salesmen/woman were great and informative. So I bought a new golf cart. When I took delivery of my cart in February 2019 I was assured that all was working well and they gave me the inspection sheet with everything checked off as good/working. I had my cart almost a year when I went back to see about a cart for a neighbor. The saleswoman went over the cart (same cart as mine except with a different speedometer) She explained how the new cart had high/low beam. I told her about the cart I bought from them and asked if the lights should work the same way. She said they should. Then I asked her about the screen over my speedometer. Mine was not digital so it was not clear like the one I was looking at. My speedometer looked like it had a bubble built into the screen. She said that was not right either and she would check on those things and get back to me. I did not hear from her so I called a short time later and spoke with a male who said he had heard them talking about it so he would check and call me back. I didn't hear from him so I called again today and was told that I needed to take a photo of the speedometer and e mail it to them so they could send it to the company to see what parts the company would send to them to fix it. I told her about the lights and she said I was probably operating them wrong. She explained that there were lights that should come on when the key is turned on and then there were the lights that should come on when they were turned on by the switch. I told her that my cart lights have NEVER worked this way. They have only turned on when I turn them on by the switch. She told me that when they get the information about the speedometer they would then come out (for a $65 service fee - because I didn't notice the cart was supposed to do this within the first 30 days of owning it and i signed a paper that said i agreed to service fee if after 30 days.) I don't have an issue paying a service fee if the problem happened after the 30 days, but when the problem is there from the beginning, EVERYTHING should be covered under warranty.(not just parts)! They don't think so. Just make sure if you buy a cart from them that you don't trust the inspection they hand you and go over it thoroughly and make sure everything works and looks the way it should. If you don't know what it should look, sound or be like then have someone else look for you so you don't PAY for it later. read more

REALLY disappointed in Affordable. Being doing business with them for 5 yrs; called for my annual service. Performed today, $18 to replace cable was told air added to all four tires. Two hours later one tire was flat so called. First, they tried to sell me a new tire but when I balked, they said they'd come over tomorrow. Guess Affordable is too big to take care of customers unless you are buying. Too bad-was a great co to work with. While I was looking for another company to service my cart, I received a call from the owner of Affordable (who obviously reads Yelp!). He was very sorry for the situation I was in and said he would bring 3 tires (to replace my flat AND to replace 2 tires he said needed replacing due to baldness). Boy was my first review incorrect (and effective) and so glad to find out I was wrong. Everyone in my neighborhood uses Affordable and now I know why! Tires being changed right now--that's good service! read more
