I told the receptionist that my cart is operable so please do not pick it up unless you are ready to work on it... it has now been in affordable "shop" for 11 days and no one has started working on it. the service manager Kirk repeatedly said he would call me yet I get no call. We purchased an NEW Ikon golf cart from Affordable Golf Carts approx 18 months ago. We now need service for the cart and called to set up a service call. Low and behold I am told they do not service Ikon except for tires and batteries. Was never told they were not a dealer, but at the time of purchase I was told about their great service techs and on site at the home usually. Now that is BS Be sure you ask them if they service as an authorized dealer what you are about to purchase. Affordable golf carts or anything but affordable they charged me $399 for a controller that I could get same controller off of eBay for 185. They tried to charge me three hours for a diagnosis that took me five seconds to figure out it was the on and off button. Then for something that they did three years ago, that wasn't correct they charged me again for the repair. I would not recommend them and I'm sorry I went there. read more

At 8 critical points they either lied, gave the wrong information and passed forth instructions that killed 4 healthy batteries for an EZ GO GOLF CART and then tried to hold my cart ransom as the final move to extract $1400 from me in an ugly attempt at blackmail/extortion. They were once a good and solid business but now they are chasing the expectations bar down in Customer Service and integrity have actually passed it on its descent. To all in Hernando County, Pasco County, Timber Pines and surrounding communities, if you enjoy being lied to, given false information or omission of charges at every turn by all means use them. Do yourself a favor and avoid Affordable Golf Carts. We purchased a icon 6 seater in late July 2022. It's been back to the shop three different times for electrical issues, alignment, fluid leaks, balding tires and more. A 3 month old golf cart should MOT have that many issues. Customer service is horrible. Service manager never calls back. I had to call and leave messages for him everyday for a week and still no call back. General manager, CJ, had no empathy for our situation. When I did get to speak to him he was quick to get me off the phone. My EZGO Cart was having an issue occasionally cutting out while driving. The person who normally helps me with minor repairs on my cart recommended Affordable Golf Carts because they have the equipment to diagnose the issue. I paid for a diagnosis, and I was told I need to replace the Potentiometer, and also that my batteries are bad - they wont charge. I pay the $417 to replace the Potentiometer, but i didn't do the batteries because they were only 10 months old and under warranty. When I got the cart back the problem was not fixed - it cut out EXACTLY like when I dropped it off. Cart didn't even make it around the block before clicking off again. I call back to speak with the technician "George" and I'm told it won't run right until I get the new batteries... I looked at my batteries to see if maybe they were leaking or low on water, because bad batteries after 10 months didn't make sense... Within 30 seconds of lifting the seat I found that one of the nuts on a battery terminal is extremely loose, about 1/4 inch of play. I tightened the nut and it runs 100% perfect now... So essentially, I paid $400+ for an incorrect diagnosis, and Potentiometer I didnt need. I was also told my batteries were junk when the only issue was a loose battery terminal nut... This place has a lot of good reviews so I imagine my experience was probably just a rare oversight, but just a little advise - please check that the battery terminals are tight as part the "diagnoses process". I appreciate your reply, however it is completely wrong. Kevin brought you the cart because he was unable to diagnose the issue. Clearly he wouldn't tell you what to fix if he didn't know what was wrong, that would make zero sense. As far as my batteries, I was told they are weak and I need new ones. However, the batteries are 10 months old and hold a charge just fine. If your reading showed my new batteries are weak, then it was because of the loose terminal. . Bottom line, the cart had an issue cutting out when it was dropped off and it had the exact same issue when it was returned.Kevin brought the card directly from your shop to my office after you finished (with no work being done in between), So I am a little disappointed to see you blame the loose battery on him. If I could put zero stars I would. Send my golf cart in to get the batteries replaced a week later it was finally done. The new batteries had the studs in a different place and they stretched my battery wires and pulled it out of the fitting. Multiple wires. They sent a guy out to my house to address the situation and he just continued to pull wires harder trying to get them to reach. No extensions were added.My cart has never been the same sense. False advertising gave me a quote of 69.95.I called them for estimate on my golf cart they said they have technicians in the field for 69.95 I told her great I'm low income elderly may not have the money to fix but was worth me checking.I told her I had to ask my husband and I would get back at her. Recently went to Affordable Golf carts looking to purchase a golf cart, salesman approached, told him what I was looking for, as were walking around the showroom he told my wife and I he used to work at a Marina, then he had to tell us two more times??? Whatever!! We received our 4 seater golf cart last week, a 2020 EZ Go electric blue with extended roof. We haven't drove it too much yet, but we are enjoying the rides all over the island. rented for January. delivery was made on the 3rd at 4 pm. pick up was on the 29th at 1:15 pm. they wouldn't give us a timeframe and they were only a few miles from our location . besides that, the cart was a piece of crap. seat fell of, back cover had holes in it and cloth seat covers were impossible to dry off. steering was loose and on and on. definitely would never recommend them. read more

Stopped in to look for a second cart. I have a nice one but would like to have another one for doing yard work. I was approached by a sales lady and told her my needs. She then took me to an old white Yamaha for $6000. I was just looking at very nice-looking Red Club car for $4995. She said she didn't have the type of car I was looking for. She had a very negative demeaner, I asked to see Terry or Denise and she said they sold the business. So i guess I won't be going there anymore. I bought a cart and several sets of batteries and some suspension parts there before, but I will not go back. They need to train their salespersons to have a nicer approach. This is a full-service facility where all repairs/upgrades can be performed. After Affordable delivered my cart, I discovered the horn was not working. This was my first golf cart purchase and The salesmen/woman were great and informative. So I bought a new golf cart. When I took delivery of my cart in February 2019 I was assured that all was working well and they gave me the inspection sheet with everything checked off as good/working. I had my cart almost a year when I went back to see about a cart for a neighbor. The saleswoman went over the cart (same cart as mine except with a different speedometer) She explained how the new cart had high/low beam. I told her about the cart I bought from them and asked if the lights should work the same way. She said they should. Then I asked her about the screen over my speedometer. Mine was not digital so it was not clear like the one I was looking at. My speedometer looked like it had a bubble built into the screen. She said that was not right either and she would check on those things and get back to me. I did not hear from her so I called a short time later and spoke with a male who said he had heard them talking about it so he would check and call me back. I didn't hear from him so I called again today and was told that I needed to take a photo of the speedometer and e mail it to them so they could send it to the company to see what parts the company would send to them to fix it. I told her about the lights and she said I was probably operating them wrong. She explained that there were lights that should come on when the key is turned on and then there were the lights that should come on when they were turned on by the switch. I told her that my cart lights have NEVER worked this way. They have only turned on when I turn them on by the switch. She told me that when they get the information about the speedometer they would then come out (for a $65 service fee - because I didn't notice the cart was supposed to do this within the first 30 days of owning it and i signed a paper that said i agreed to service fee if after 30 days.) I don't have an issue paying a service fee if the problem happened after the 30 days, but when the problem is there from the beginning, EVERYTHING should be covered under warranty.(not just parts)! They don't think so. Just make sure if you buy a cart from them that you don't trust the inspection they hand you and go over it thoroughly and make sure everything works and looks the way it should. If you don't know what it should look, sound or be like then have someone else look for you so you don't PAY for it later. read more

The first time I had trouble they came up with all kinds of excuses and would not back anything. Sell broken used carts, will tell you they are available even when they aren't, and when you come up they sell you a different one. Unfortunately for me, I was overcharged and sold a used cart that had issues within 2 months, and now the charger i am told is fried already and solenoid needs replaced. I purchased the cart only 6 short months ago and paid over $2k for our golf cart. I was argued with and told they are not responsible since cart is used. Buyer beware ! Alot of music matched vehicles there , parts from other carts not same brand ! We have a club car seat on our cart lol we paid for a custom bolster seat ! Watch serial numbers from the cart toBill of sale , you can locate this on the drivers side frame, ours didn't match , this way we got a 3 month warranty instead of the 2 year ! Sneaky sneaky ! REALLY disappointed in Affordable. Being doing business with them for 5 yrs; called for my annual service. Performed today, $18 to replace cable was told air added to all four tires. Two hours later one tire was flat so called. First, they tried to sell me a new tire but when I balked, they said they'd come over tomorrow. Guess Affordable is too big to take care of customers unless you are buying. Too bad-was a great co to work with. While I was looking for another company to service my cart, I received a call from the owner of Affordable (who obviously reads Yelp!). He was very sorry for the situation I was in and said he would bring 3 tires (to replace my flat AND to replace 2 tires he said needed replacing due to baldness). Boy was my first review incorrect (and effective) and so glad to find out I was wrong. Everyone in my neighborhood uses Affordable and now I know why! So, last weekend I'm watching the Golf Channel, and I see an ad for Affordable Golf Carts, and this reminds me of something very important that I need to tell the public. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN! In late August, I go to Affordable, and meet with Alex. I tell her that I'm looking for a completely refurbished golf cart that will not require any service for at least one year. No problem, she says. She shows me a golf cart that has supposedly been completely refurbished with a full one-year warranty, Sold.......$5,259. From where I sit now, Affordable's sales people are either clueless and misinformed, or trained to be deliberately deceptive. Here's my experience with them after only four months: They delivered the cart with a broken tail light. No problem. They send a tech out the next day. He's working on the cart for 1-1/2 hours (to perform a 10-minute job). You have to figure something's wrong, right? Two days later, the tail light falls off. It was the wrong one and the tech tried to put it on with sticky tape. I drive out to Affordable.....one hour out, one hour back, get the correct tail light and install it myself. OK, no big deal. One week later, the battery charger stops working. I call them. No problem, we'll send a tech out with a replacement. Tech comes out. Of course he doesn't have replacement with him, he came to "fix it". He spends 15 minutes bending the plug prongs with pliers. Still doesn't work. I drive one hour out to Hudson, one hour back to pick-up a charger that works. A couple weeks later, my cart gets damaged on the golf course. No problem. The insurance company says they'll take care of it. Get a quote. I go to Affordable with photos and they give me a quote and we agree on a tentative pick-up date. I don't hear a thing, so I phone them. Well...........they can't pick it up, because they need another $125. (for parts shipping). Denise, the owner calls me and says, "It has to come by Common Carrier and that everybody knows that shipping is extra." Whaaaaat? I tell Denise that a.) it obviously should have been part of the original quote and b.) you people are lying to me because the part is ship-able via UPS (verifiable with numerous parts suppliers on the internet.) Two weeks later, the battery charger continually shuts off prior to full charge. They come and pick it up. After taking a quick look at it, they decide that the problem is an on-off toggle switch that I installed, linked to a digital battery meter that they put-in. I had to install it to turn-off the meter that otherwise, ran full-time. The sales person told me that they didn't know how to do that in their shop. They send it back to me with the wiring cut, a significant amount of paint scraped-off the body and a bill for $135. I phone Denise, inform her that the switch has nothing to do with the problem and that I don't think it's reasonable to pay $135. SHE HANGS-UP ON ME. Nice. I guess I didn't spend enough. The actual problem? It was the cart's plug-in recepticle. Had to repair it myself. My switch has been hooked-up and working ever since. Three weeks later, the front suspension is falling apart on this "refurbished" cart. Guess what? I'm SOL, because I trusted the sales person and didn't read the warranty fine print. Turns-out that any "wear and tear" items.......which includes the suspension and about 80% of the cart ARE NOT WARRANTED. $400 later, I have a rebuilt front suspension. So, here's my message to Denise and Affordable Golf Carts......I live in a golfing community of 2,300 homes and over 3,000 residents. Congrats....you got me. But sales in this community will suffer as a result of the rude, deceptive, unprofessional behavior of your staff and yourself. My advise to the public......stay far away. read more

Recently a friend of my (83) was able to work a deal with the local Hyundai dealer and AFFORDABLE GOLF CARTS, as he is no longer able to drive on the roads, but a little cart to get him around the neighborhood would be great. I saw what they sent over, a dirty wreck of a cart, that they were no doubt happy to be rid of. When he told them the cart was unacceptable (complete with broken headlights), they wanted to charge him 35.00 to pick it up.
