Do not get your dentures here. I spent thousands of dollars thinking I was going to get quality dentures. This is not the case. They're way to big. I left the Dr. office having to use dental adhesive, being told that's my only option. I can't talk or chew without it. Dentures create open sores in my mouth. I called to make an appointment to get adjustments. All appointments for adjustments is between the hour of 10 to 11 am Only no exceptions or accommodations. I bought the most expensive dentures money can buy in this place. the dentist does not know what he is doing. I went into them for adjustment. They told me there was nothing they could do to adjust my dentures. I'm biting both my cheeks and the V at the middle top of my dentures sucks the skin (inside) the top of my skin right under your nose. The dentist told me if I didn't like what they said go somewhere else. I got the dentures there yet no help. What a joke. I as well recommend that people look closely into this place and ask as many of questions as possible before making the decision to go here. I agree with Steve K. A joke is a understatement and yes the office lobby was always filthy each time I went there. I would give this place a zero, but the system requires me to pick a start, so they get 1 start only because I have to. It wasn't until after I spent $1400.00 on the new wearer package and a couple weeks later that I was informed that the current dentist ( which there is only 1) will be leaving and future appointments can not be made until they find a new dentist, and at that time they had no clue how soon that would be. it is a fairly open space so amongst the chatter of employees this was know for some time, but yet they still took my money with out informing me. This was back in the middle of May, it has been nothing but a pain in the ass to get a appointment for adjustments of my temporary dentures. Sine then there has been at least 3 dentist in and out. 5 months later after being told I had unlimited adjustments available , I maybe had 4. I still have my temporary dentures that no matter the amount of adhesive I use, ( none, a little, or half the tube) my dentures fall out of my mouth, eating is impossible because I cant chew food, so now I gum what ever I am able to gum. At my last visit I was told this maybe just the way it will be due to the way my gums healed, dentures may never fit tight or stay in place and my only other option is implants which start at $3,000.00 per denture. Luckily my purchase was made with my Care Credit account. I called them frustrated explained the situation and filed a dispute. I think they may receive many complaints about this place. which normally takes 45 days to complete investigation and make a decision. The decision was made in a couple of weeks and I received a full refund. Only problem now is im stuck with healed gums and temporary dentures that don't fit. My only hope is going to another Affordable denture location that will be cleaner, be honest, know what they are doing (dentist wise) and get my into dentures that fit. I also agree with Mary P stay away from this place, do not go there for dentures. I can only warn people NOT to go to Affordable Dentures at 3135 Wiley Blvd Ste 104 in Cedar Rapids. I had the worst possible experience with that facility. I should have know when my husband and I walked in and the waiting area was dirty that it was not going to be good. The Dentist Dr. Tresnak was rude and her chair side manner something to be desired. They do not tell you everything until they have made your impressions, then tell you to come back in the afternoon around 3 or 3:30 (my appointment was at 8:00 in the morning), and they have you leave your dentures with them until the afternoon appointment, have not a clue why. Then they have you initial everything and it all seemed to fit ok!! THEN they tell you to come back the following week to get them, which is again another 2 1/2 hr trip for me, one way. I did return the following week and the dentures were a horrible fit and then they want to do another impression and have you come back the following week! I declined to do that and the dentist ask why I initialed that everything was fine the first time, I said because at the time of the impression it did feel fine, what happened from that time to the time you made them has nothing to do with me! I refused to go thru all that again and left there with nothing, but yet they submitted the claim to my dental insurance and also have not refunded me a dime of the pay up front money. The office on Wiley is a joke. When walking in the lobby area was filthy and they had a portable heater sitting by the entrance. When I went to check in the first thing the receptionist said was, We don't take insurance. She did not say welcome or anything else just we don't take insurance. I had a 3:00 o'clock appointment and arrived at 2:45. I was the only one in the waiting area, at 3:10 another person came in and within 10 minutes he was called. 4 more people came in at 3:30 and I was still waiting. They started calling the other people and I was sitting and waiting. I went to the window to see what was wrong. It was obvious the people that came in after me and got there at 3:30 did not have a 3:00 o'clock appointment like I did. If the examination rooms are anything like the waiting area I would not have anyone go to the unsanitary conditions. Stay away from this place. One more this, an older man came in to pick up his dentures. They didn't take him back to the rooms. A person brought the dentures out to the lobby and handed them to him. Not in a box, he just put them in his hand. Are you kidding me? Don't walk, run away from this place. read more

Hello !!! Just had 3 extractions and immediate dentures one tooth really hurt to have pulled but this lady dentists is very companionate and very competent !!! My smile is great I had problems with the molds do to loose teeth and she went the extra mile for me and didn't upcharge me !!!! This Affordable denture dentists is awesome !!!! Bobby read more
