Dr. Zirker, Sidney and Gail were all amazing and made my emergency dental experience a very pleasant one. I was in extreme pain and knew I was in good hands after my initial experience with Sidney, from the Front Office. Gail took it from there and proceeded to make me feel more relaxed during my initial exam. From there, Gail and Dr. Zirker were quick to assess and examine my tooth and provide all my options. I never want to go anywhere else for my dental needs!! Yes, I'm a 33 year old that is scared of the dentist. Yes, like for real. I white knuckle it the whole time, get a little light headed and just feel so uncomfortable while people are digging around in my mouth. After years of dental nightmares and being blessed with not super great teeth, I have finally found a place where I can relax. Judy at the front desk is the first interaction that you will have at River Ridge and she is a PEACH! She will get you scheduled over the phone and then get you all checked in when you arrive. She immediately put me at ease. From there, you're taken to a nice, large exam room and work starts immediately. I hate when I have to sit there and stew for 30 minutes while I wait for my hygienist to come around, but that has never happened here. My time is just as precious to them as it is to me and I always get right in and right out. As an added bonus, after not seeing a dentist for a few years, I was not judged or scolded. I was simply told that they were excited to see me again in 6 months. When I returned, the Dr asked if I was happy with the color of one of my teeth that I had previously had some work done on. I told him no, and he made a plan to get it looking like new! I now have two matching front teeth and I never realized just how insecure I was about my old tooth! Long story short, I will never go anywhere else ever again. River Ridge is my new dental 'home' and I look forward to seeing them every six months from here on out! PS- The windows in each exam room are awesome and occasionally there are deer that pass by! read more

Many great experiences at River Ridge! While I was living in CR River Ridge was my primary dentist office. Although I never had to have any major work done, I did return here every six months for routine cleanings. The office staff is so nice; Judy, the office manager is so sweet, as are all the other women in the office. Dr. Crippes is very professional and friendly as well. I was looking to switch dentists a few years ago and was recommended to River Ridge by a coworker so I went for it - and so glad I did. I instantly felt like they knew me and cared about me. The front desk staff (Judy) always calls you by name when you come through the door. Appointments start on time! And my hygienist is awesome. Dr. Joe is also a phenomenal dentist. As a college student, I was concerned because I had used up my dental insurance for the year and I desperately needed a root canal. I couldn't pay out of pocket so they actually allowed me to get the service done, and save the paperwork and submit it to my insurance when it renews in January. The dental hygienists are super nice and talk with you to make you feel comfortable the whole time. My dentist himself walks through the entire procedure and explains each item he is using throughout. You can tell they really care about their patients and go above and beyond to make everything painless and easy. If you need to switch go here!!! read more

Covid-19 vaccination is not a requirement of employment by Dr. Crippes' practice. Their website gives the impression that they are responsibly following all Covid-19 recommendations & protocols. They are not. Only after asking directly (to reassure and verify) was I then told by their X-ray Tech that she & the Dental Hygienist who was about to see me are both unvaccinated. They did not wear N95 masks -just cloth ones. Their 'safety' protocols are thus rendered nothing more than feel-good PR theatrics. Your potential for serious exposure to Covid-19 and its variants is high. They are in reality and by science a serious potential infection vector. It doesn't matter if Drs. Crippes or Kennedy are vaccinated when your techs are 'free' to be a likely carrier based on a risible "honor system". We had been clients for years yet we are done with this shockingly negligent practice. read more

Dr. Crippes and his staff are absolutely wonderful, they are very thorough, gentle and make appropriate decisions. Due to a previous dentist who made very poor decisions just to make money, we switched when I was a kid to Dr. Crippes. He immediately sealed a couple of my (very cavity prone) teeth to prevent damage to them, something my previous dentist should have done to my other molars! Since then, I've had some additional work done and they are so wonderful, very quick and efficient. Not only that, but when they see an area that has been demineralized slightly they don't immediately say I need to get a filling unless it gets to that point, they put a "watch" on it. I went to a dentist in college who told me that I had 5 cavities, which didn't seem right to me!!! Needless to say, I didn't take action on that, when I went to Dr. Crippes a few months later, he told me I had 1! My only complaint is that now I cannot go to him when I go back home as my Insurance provided by my employer (Freedom Network) is a network they are not aligned with!!! I've been trying to find a dentist for the past (almost) two years in Kansas City that is as wonderful as him, to no avail, and I desperately need a cleaning. read more
