I have been going here for a few years and I will tell you that this is the BEST dental clinic I…read morehave been to in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding areas!! Mia at the front desk will welcome you in right away. You will feel comfortable immediately! I have been blessed with Dr. A Alani as my dentist and her assistant,Becky. These two ladies are awesome. They have taken such good care of me and gave me a beautiful smile to be proud of. I haven't been happy with my teeth for over 25 years or more. I have also been blessed with an amazing hygienist, Barbara. The entire staff here is truly a blessing to this city. Please give them a try, you'll be so happy you did. Tell them, Maria sent you.

My family and I have been going to this practice for a few years. We have had ongoing issues. We…read morestayed only bcs we've had a hard time getting in to another practice within our network. Each time I got frustrated we look for a new dentist, get all the "we aren't taking new patients" replies and the 6 months rolls around again and we need dental care. On 3 occasions I showed up for my scheduled appt only to be told my appt is cancelled due to the provider not being available (no phone call). This also happened to my daughter. I met with the office manager who assured me it wouldn't happen again. The I showed up for an appt only to be told that I was getting cleaning but my dentist wasn't there so I would not be seeing the dentist. Again I met with the office manager and they asked if I would like to see another dentist which I did... maybe that should have been explained to me prior to the appt and given the option to reschedule or see the other dentist. At that time I did not care which dentist I saw I just wanted to see the dentist. It's awful that I took me being outraged and speaking with the office manager before the option of seeing the dentist who was there was even offered to me. I am also not attached to any dentist there bcs there has been SO much turn over, it's rare that I've seen any dentist twice!!! I went a couple weeks ago for which I thought was my 6 months checkup with a dentist and once again not seen by an actual dentist. Today, my daughter who is home from college and had an appt scheduled during her spring break to make sure she keeps up with her regular appts , went to her follow up. 6 months ago she was told she had several "watch areas" and they recommended a $600 preventative treatment that was not covered by insurance. We denied and said we would follow up in 6 months and check those areas. Today, she did not see a dentist and there was NO mention or concern about these "watch areas". Makes me very suspicious about this $600 not covered by insurance out of pocket treatment they wanted her to have 6 months ago!!! I called the office to discuss again why she was not seen by a dentist and the status of these "watch areas". They brought the hygienist to the phone.. not the dentist or the office manager.. and I was told it wasn't necessary to see the dentist and she had no information on these "watch areas". She offered to squeeze us in to see the dentist today. I told her when I came in I wanted to speak with the office manager. Five minutes later the office manager called me back to tell me we were being "discharged" from the practice. He is the 3rd or 4th office or he corrected me and called himself the "practice manager" that I know of since we've been going there. You have to wonder why so much turnover with everyone from "practice managers" to hygienists and even dentists. I highly do NOT recommend this practice.
