I've only had two dentists in my life. The first was my childhood dentist, who cared for me from…read morebirth until my mid-thirties when he retired. The second was one I truly liked and saw until I relocated to Tennessee. I've been here for nearly four years but hesitated to find a new dentist because I knew I needed significant work done. The last quote I received (in California) was roughly the price of a new car! Currently between jobs and transitioning careers, I knew I had to address my dental issues before any interviews--first impressions matter! A family member recommended Spring Hill Smiles, so I decided to give them a try. I visited their website on my iPhone yesterday and filled out the initial information. I appreciated how modern, user-friendly, and easy to navigate it was--unlike some other local practices that feel stuck in the past when it comes to online communication. Less than 30 minutes later, Spring Hill Smiles reached out, and I was able to book an appointment for the very next day. I was impressed by their quick response and efficiency. The office is conveniently located in Spring Hill on Port Royal Road, just over 5 miles from my home. I arrived on time this morning and was warmly greeted by Katie and Ashley Z at the front desk. Their friendly demeanor and eagerness to help made it clear they enjoy their work. I'd already completed the New Patient Form online via my iPhone, so there was no long wait before hygienist Tanonni brought me back. Tanonni was welcoming, genuinely interested in my background and where I'm from, and very professional. She clearly explained the day's procedures and what Dr. Jordan would be handling. I was particularly impressed by the practice's cutting-edge technology. Their thorough X-rays and photographs were detailed while still respecting patient privacy. When I met Dr. Jordan Erwin, she presented several clear options tailored to my needs. She even reminded me of my good friend Amy Gottlieb, a Christian singer and musician--not just in appearance, but in their similar slight accents. I immediately felt a connection and was confident in her expertise and recommendations. I wasn't expecting California-level pricing, but the costs here were surprisingly affordable--far lower than I'd feared. Cost has been the main reason I've put off dental care for so long, and now I regret not coming sooner! We created a solid plan to address my dental needs, agreed on a manageable payment plan, I joined as a member, signed up for their maintenance program, and scheduled my next appointment for next week. Everything moved so smoothly--truly amazing. From Dr. Jordan Erwin to hygienist Tanonni Garner, and the welcoming team at the front desk (Katie and Ashley Z), the courtesy, professionalism, knowledge, and genuine kindness throughout the practice have won me over. I'll be returning for years to come and highly recommend Spring Hill Smiles to anyone seeking exceptional dental care!

Hoping for a refresh, I came to Aspen Grove Dental. Dr. Roberts understood exactly what I was wanting and promptly rolled out the plan of action - Several weeks of whitening, followed by new composite bonding. I am completely thrilled with the results! The entire process was so straightforward, I almost felt like I was doing something wrong. Dr. Roberts was friendly and professional at every turn, as was the dental hygienist (I believe her name was Mallory?) From consultation to execution, Aspen Grove impressed me at every step. In a world of dental horror stories, save yourself the grief and schedule an appointment here! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Despite their website indicating that they want to help you maximize your insurance benefits, they…read morehave deliberate anti-consumer internal policies when it comes to notifying patients of out-of-network status. Given our experience, we do not believe this practice prioritizes patient financial interests. My wife came in for a routine cleaning in March 2026 and presented our new insurance (Guardian DentalGuard Preferred) but was never informed it was out of network. Because of this, we did not get the opportunity to seek care elsewhere before services were rendered. Had we been known we were out of network, we would have gone to an in-network provider and owed nothing. Instead, we received a bill *months later* for $183. Their website says "We accept all traditional dental PPO insurances" and tells you to hand over your insurance card so they can "handle the hassle of dealing with insurance companies." A reasonable patient assumes that means they'll flag anything important about your coverage. Instead, we were told that they "assume all patients are aware of their network status", even though confirming this assumption would be as simple as an extra sentence or two. To make things worse, Guardian's own provider directory still lists a former Rachel Oates location as in-network... so even if you do your homework through Guardian's tools, you may still get the wrong answer. We tried multiple times to resolve this directly. No acknowledgment, no movement on the bill. If are a patient, or want to be one, we recommend: 1.) Call your insurer directly to confirm this practice is in network. Do not ask the practice. 2.) Review all coverage details beforehand so you are personally knowledgeable about any potential costs. 3.) Ask for a cost estimate before any work is done. In our experience, they do not offer this proactively. Or, just go to another dental practice that does these things for you.

My wife and I went to Dr. Yost and were very impressed with 1) his friendly manner; 2) his thorough work method; and 3) his obvious concern for you not being in pain. He is the 5th dentist we have been to in the Franklin/Brentwood area since 2010. None were a good fit, and 2 of them were incompetent (the one before Dr. Yost, Modern Dentistry, was guilty of telling my wife she had an infection that required $7,000 of work that was pure fiction - Dr. Yost's 2nd opinion cleared that up! His main thrust is to do just what is necessary, not try to find things that are not really problems. His hygienist Laura is very good too, she gets at the plaque very thoroughly but she never hurt me at all. I felt like I had a great cleaning when she was done. The waiting area is a bit small, but they seem to move you in pretty quick so you're not waiting very long. I hope Dr. Yost stays practicing for a long time. As far as we are concerned, we have finally found our dentist. He is just the 2nd dentist we have ever been this happy with (our first one, in Oregon, we went to for about 30 years). Unfortunately, last Monday I had a terrible experience at this office. I will begin by saying the…read morefront desk staff greeted me with a stone face, unfriendly, which is usually how I am treated when I go there. It is a shame, because people are often scared and worried about seeing a dentist, and to be greeted that way may make them more uneasy. On Monday, I went into the office and the first thing I told Amanda the assistant was that the teeth next to the one that was taken out, hurt when drinking cold drinks. Amanda said she would tell Dr. Miller, but when he came in he seemed as though he knew nothing about it and proceeded to tell me I have a cracked tooth and an infection in the tooth near the one that he pulled. Three months ago when he pulled my tooth he struggled removing it and I even had him stop for a minute, because of the extreme pressure I felt. Prior to the tooth being pulled, the one next to it was not cracked and had not dropped. I told Dr. Miller that I was going to another place to address the missing tooth and after that he asked no questions, and there was no further conversation to address the infection. There was no concern. I had intended to continue with Tanyard after the procedure with a surgeon. It turned out that the doctor I was going to make an appointment with was out of the office. I didn't know how long it would take to be seen. I then called Dr. Miller to ask for antibiotics because I feared the infection would get worse. I was told to just take Tylenol, which I didn't understand how that would help the infection so I insisted that they ask him again. Amanda then gets on the phone and becomes extremely nasty and loud with me stating something like "you was just here and your tooth is already bothering you and you said you were going somewhere else." And then she started saying something like " I just wanted antibiotics, right." Then she went on to provide a testimony about Dr. Miller and his 17 years of experience. Amanda was not in the room when I had my tooth removed and hadn't even reviewed my file. I go regularly for preventative care with the hygienist who is very nice, and I had never heard anything about a cracked tooth. Amanda then went on to encourage me to write a review. My family and I will no longer be going there. I liked Dr. Miller and especially the hygienist, but I use to dread not having my mouth being worked on, but instead, I dreaded interacting with the front desk on arrival and departure, and when calling that office.
