Finding a new dentist after moving to Tennessee was going to be a chore so I poured over patient reviews and cross-referenced those with who was on my provider list. When I read reviews that person after person sounded like me with their reservations about going to the dentist and then they all RAVED about Dr. Leatherwood, I said, "He's GOT to be the guy!" So...for a difficult extraction of a large molar with extra long roots, I can honestly say that on a scale of 1-100, at its worst, any pain I had during the procedure was about a 2. And, it was over WAY faster than I figured it would be and I am THRILLED. I know I will be sore for a bit, but the roaring pain when the tooth was at its worst makes this pain feel WAY tolerable. If anyone in Jefferson or Hamblen County, TN (or any other county for that matter) needs a great dentist, I highly recommend Dr. David Leatherwood in Morristown.

Maybe I caught them on a good day, don't know, but my visit and cleaning at this Aspen location a few months ago was pretty good. My only complaint is the hygienist was a little rough on my gums and they were sore until the next day. The staff were all pleasant and got me from the waiting room on time. Expect a lot of X-rays. It's a little odd that they require your first visit to be for X-rays and a consultation only (no hygienist cleaning), but they can try to work you in that day if the hygienist has time. Getting an appointment can be difficult as they seem to be heavily booked for several months.

Only injection that hurt was the roof of my mouth and that always hurts no matter who does it. I will be continuing to use this practice and would recommend it to anyone. Plus, he is extremely kid friendly. Whether you need a dentist for your kid or are a stay at home parent that needs to bring your kids to your appointment with you, Dr. Stapleton is more that accommodating.
