    I am very sensitive to pain I have explained that to Dr. Johnson and his staff…read moreIn the past I have received incredulous looks maybe that I was being overly sensitive or being a sissy Yet they took my concern seriously and actually I was very comfortable during the procedure because basically I was not there Anesthesia can be a wonderful thing The office staff from Eliza who takes care of the insurance and went above and beyond when our insurance company was not being very clear as to what they covered To Sandy who runs the front desk and set the tone for your visit Really made me feel very special I'm so glad there are professionals like this I am a foreign nurse So I realize how important it is to care for the patient they are open on Fridays so that helps me as far as having more options for a visit

I know, because I was on the receiving end of a difficult operation that had the best possible outcome due to his expert capabilities in removing a tumor pressing against a nerve inside my jaw beneath my lower teeth. While it isn't always possible, Dr. Johnson was able to avoid cutting the nerve, or breaking my jaw; which can happen with this type of surgery on older patients whose bone mass begins to deteriorate abd lose its strength. Thank you Dr. Johnson, and thank you to every other wonderful professional there in the pre-op and post-op chain of command. These people are the finest most capable kind. Thank you again. I'm so very happy with how beautifully it all turned out.

    I very briefly met the dentist and he seemed pretty cool, so get a extra star for that…read more I had been in pain for months and have always had issues with my back tooth and had 2-3 root canals on it and it was causing me a lot of pain. I got there at 1015 for 1030 appt. At 11am I asked how far behind it is she said, "They should be taking you in soon its only 10:40. I said its 11am, my appointment was 10:30. Your clock is wrong" At 11:08 went back for xrays. They sat me down and said that they had seven extractions to do so it's gonna be a while before they can get to me. I asked if it was going to be a few minutes or closer half an hour? They said maybe it might be longer. So I said I'll come back another day because I have another appointment at noon in Morristown. Sunday night my back tooth that had bene bothering me; the top part of it actually came off causing me more pain from being exposed. I called and left a message expecting a call back Monday morning to see if they could see me before 2pm to have a emergency extraction because there was no way to save this tooth. I didnt get a call back so I called again and they said they would contact my insurance to get it done. still no response. So since I didnt hear anything, I went to my 2pm appointment, Nothing was sent to my insurance yet. The dentist said that there's no saving my tooth because it was cracked at the root and that's what was causing me so much pain is my gums we're actually growing into my tooth. So I'm going back-and-forth between them in the VA because they didn't put emergency extraction needs to be done ASAP. So I tell them that needs to be put in so I can get this tooth out I'm in a lot of pain. I kept calling the VA to put it in to get this tooth pulled, but Hurleys office didn't put in for emergency extraction, just regular. So the VA gets it approved within a couple hours and this place says they're gonna schedule me out in two weeks. I said are you kidding me I'm in a lot of pain I can't wait two weeks for this to come out it's been causing me issues for two months. I had asked the lady at the front if they could send in some pain medication and please call me and let me know when she calls it in. She never gave me a call back. Front people need better training and reliability.

    Dr Hurley was great. I had a tooth that was hurting a great deal. He came in on his day off to see…read moreme. He was very gentle and examined my tooth and the rest of my mouth. He determined the cause of my pain, and gave me antibiotics to begin treatment right away. He had the girls in the office call me on Monday morning to see me that very same day. He took X-rays again And determined that I needed to see a specialist. His office staff sent my referral in for me. I will continue to see Dr Hurley in the future.
