We had the misfortune of vehicle issues in BOTH or our primary vehicles and thought taxis and the occasional car rental would fill the bill until all repairs were complete... BUT these folks simply can't be depended on. Promises made for pickups are often late... or WAY late or simply AWOL. Getting left high and dry on a hot day for well over an hour is NOT a good time... and the 'attitude' you get from the dispatcher when you dare suggest that they keep their word is a clear buzz-kill. I have visiting staff and consultants in the area constantly and a dependable taxi service would be a blessing -- and could have given a fair amount of business to the right operator... BUT, Orange Park Taxi is NOT such a service. Rider, beware.

We landed on time and then notified the car that we had arrived. Of note is the fact that there is a specific pick up area on the arrivals section for services like Uber to pick up their fares. Also, we are senior citizens carrying very heavy bags. The pick up line moves quite quickly. My wife was keeping track of our Uber on her phone. She was notified that the car, a Volkswagen Taos, would arrive in 9 minutes. At about the 15 minute mark, her phone showed that the car was 650 feet away. We waited and waited but no car. Then, my wife texted the driver to find out where she was. She was sitting in the waiting line way, way back from the pick up area. She then told us to walk back and find her in the line. My wife said that we were absolutely NOT going to walk back and find her. We were standing in the correct pick up area. It was her job to drive down and pick us up. We stood there patiently, and finally this white Taos came down to where we were, rolled down the back window and started to scream my wife's name, never even got out of her car to get our suitcases. My wife , hearing and seeing this ridiculous behavior, walked over and told her to forget it. In addition to being nasty, this woman had a magnetic sign on the side of the car, and when my wife asked her what it was, she said"that's my business." The name of the business was Hygiene Anonymous. We don't know what she was doing. Was she picking us up in between jobs? And what does that business have to do with Uber? We ended up getting a different service to take us home, ZTrip which was more expensive, but was sitting there and we both agreed that the driver was careful and very friendly. This is not to say we will not ever use Uber again, but this was a very bad experience.

They have to be as they need so many certifications. Then they deliver fantastic service. As seen in the picture. Their driver loaded and secured my wife's wheelchair in the middle of a thunderstorm! He even provided clean towels to dry off with. That is 5 star service. His driving took us to our medical appointments, avoiding construction sites, and heavy traffic. We arrived ahead of time.
