I bought a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox on June 23 and one week later the front breaks was rubbing. I had a another mechanic fix my truck and took the bill to Sheffield and he said that he would not reimburses me the $1,200.00 that it cost me to have it fixed. I do not think anyone should buy a vehicle from this car dealer. I would give him a HALF of a star. 1/2 of a star

Seen a nice car after hrs, went back spoke w/ mechanic who was acting salesman at the time. Came…read moreback spoke w/ actual salesman, was pleasant at first. When signing final docs, I inquired about a carfax, says they dont do that, hinting that it costly and the boss doesn't want to. I asked how they knew the history of the car? He goes into how they safety check everything (but there was a nail in the tire that they plugged before I left). I asked again of the history of the car, he replied w/ "IDK" very nonchalantly. I say, "Well that would be the reason for the Carfax", so I ran one while he was talking. (I kinda felt the driver door was a hair off alignment, but not enough to see it as a problem, but some type of acknowledgement wouldn't have seemed deceiving.) Turns out, yes, door had a minor hit and repaired. As I'm giving him this info, he stops and says..."So do you want the car or not? You don't have to buy the car. I held it for you" (no you didn't, you held it to make a sale ..for YOU! ..NOT good customer service). Then as we are coming to a close, he's has taken upon himself to charge me for "new" plates, instead of asking if I was transferring or not...his explanation.."Well most times, people just get new plates!" I say, that's the purpose of asking and not assuming. He' replies with..."Well its already done.." (Again, not good customer service) I say, "Hope you wrote in pencil..Im not buying new plates when I already have them!" Then we get to the final signature, I sign the BOS w/ signature and a small note of no carfax offered and also refuse to give one, and noted the prior damages that had been repaired. His reply..."It only required a signature.." Told him, It requires whatever I write as my signature, and that's that. He told me out his own mouth..."You dont have to buy the car.." I said, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. NOR DO YOU HAVE TO SELL CARS. If you're gonna do business w/ the public, be more transparent. I don't see how the expense of a carfax (cars cost enough that you can run a $40 carfax on them upon purchase, and it's a business expense, you write it off anyway!), or the fact that you do "safety checks" (nail in a tire sound really safe and checked..) are valid reasons to prevent from giving potential customers vital information about a car they're purchasing from your establishment. Seems a lil suspect to me...Mechanic was nicer than the salesman was. Im going back just to thank him!! Love the car, but the service was TERRIBLE!!! I will NEVER REFER ANYONE OR GO BACK EVER AGAIN!! Not many salesman there, but dude needs to work in another field, customer service IS NOT YOUR THING SIR!!
