I bought a 2004 Honda odyssey from them, the one gentleman was super nice, but the other guy was rude, and acted like it was a chore to deal with us, I asked what was wrong with the vehicle and he said that nothing was wrong with it, we took it for a test drive, and that went well, we heard a noise in the rear of the vehicle but figured it had been sitting, so we bought it and on our way home the noise we heard had gotten worse, when we got home the engine light came on and it stated that they were several censors that were bad, and we then found out that the rear brakes were metal on metal, I will NEVER buy another vehicle from them, not up front about ANYTHING read more

(She Paid for his car) Dan, the guy who sold us the Vehicle is a LIER He said if we had any problems come back and he would help us out many times Well....I called and he said he needed to talk to the owner and he said he would write a note for him. I never heard anything and called again and Dan said he would leave a note for the owner. On a cold and windy day in late February, my 21 year old daughter and I stopped by looking to replace her car which had been totaled. Two gentlemen were sitting at desks inside the office and there were no other customers. Told one of them her situation, price range and needs. They said there were "probably" some cars on the lot and we should just go look. He didn't ask our names nor offer his own name. He didn't offer to look thru his inventory so we wouldn't have to wander around in the cold. We walked outside, circled the building, got in our car and left. Maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe they sold so many cars in February that they didn't need another sale. Maybe the man we talked to didn't think we were serious. Maybe he was just in a bad mood that day. I had my car on the lot to sell here because I moved out of state and they assured they would detail the car, put it on multiple websites, and it should be sold in a months and 5 months later I had picked up my car because they didn't do ANYTHING to sell my car, even though I paid for the service. Somehow my car has an extra 2,000 miles on it, dirt and leaves all over the car, and some things are broken off. They are literally the shittest car salesmen on the planet. Well... This place has a slew of negative reviews about being shady and dishonest? Yep, because they are. Answered a craigslist ad about a truck - ultimately, was told by Dan they made a mistake on the listing and it was actually supposed to be listed for a couple grand more - but they would honor the price until Friday. Called Thursday to make arrangements to make the long drive to the dealership to look at and pay for the vehicle and was told by the owner that he wouldn't honor the agreement made by Dan. Wouldn't you know it, Friday discovered the truck was posted on Facebook for the same initial lower price. Called again referencing that ad and they still wouldn't honor that price... Despite the bad reputation of this car lot, I decided to give it a try and went to check out trucks. I checked out two different pickups, one appeared to be in decent shape but when it came time to start it, all it would do is chug, pop out some smoke and then died. While waiting for the second pickup to warm up, I overheard an employee talking about resetting a code/red light on a vehicle and laughing about the buyer will never know the transmission is faulty. What!?? I couldn't believe it. The second pickup I looked at I was told had a clean title with no accidents. The Owner provided the car-fax. After looking at the vehicle closer it was obvious that it had been in a significant accident, there were signs of misalignment and paint over spray. I walked away. I wouldn't trust this lot for anything, I confirmed on my own via car fax that this vehicle was in a significant accident with a salvage note. I believe the car fax I received from the lot was a counterfeit. Unbelievable. DO NOT TRUST this pit. RUN!!! read more

As a last resort bought a vehicle (as is) with quite a few cosmetic issues and at the last minute. On our drive home ptms and check engine light comes on. Took it to a mechanic turns out bad catalyc, o2 sensors, and coolant hoses needs replaced. Aside it needs desperate need of tires (luckly neither exploded on the icy road!) As they were changing the tires they noticed the ptms sensor has been tempered with after it had been broken off (had months of wear. Selling a vehicle with bad ptms is quite an offense in auto dealing business (you can look it up) called to see if they wanna replace it or just pay the balance. they said they will check in with the manager.. This was about 2-3 weeks ago, still haven't heard anything from them! All in all its a dependable inexpensive vehicle. read more

I bought an 02 Jetta from here a little over a year ago and absolutely love my car. Although when I was buying the car I was NOT informed that the car had a salvage title. I asked the dealer more than once how many owners the car has previously had and if it had been in any wrecks or had a salvage title and he denied it everytime. I went into the DVS today to get a duplicate title made and found out my car has a salvage title! As a first time car buyer, I could not have chosen a WORSE dealership to give my business to. I should have trusted my gut and ran away before I made the mistake of buying a car from Affordable Auto in Cambridge, but, I unfortunately decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and put my trust in them. Biggest mistake I have ever made. The first day that I went to car shop there, it seemed like Dan and Gary (The salesman and owner who "helped" me) were nice enough. They didn't do anything special to make me love them, but I wouldn't have guessed that they would be as shady, untrustworthy, lowdown, and pitiful as they turned out to be. I decided to come back a few days later to drive the same Chrysler Pacifica that attracted my attention. I asked lots of questions - questions that I had hoped would help me through this process as a newbie - and shouldn't have let my excitement of a "new car" lead my decisions more than logic did. Dan was no help. Ever. He always excused his lack of knowledge on the vehicles with statements like, "You know, I'm not sure because I haven't gotten a chance to drive it", or "I don't know, let me ask the boss". Never did he give me clear cut information, so I trusted that Gary's advice would come easier and more reliably. When they told me that they didn't do a full inspection on the cars, I should have ran. Lots of "should haves". But I didn't. They suckered me in and sold me a car that broke down 8 hours after I drove it out of the lot. The coolant tank exploded while I was driving. Gary didn't answer my calls, voicemails, or picture texts that night, and when I finally got ahold of him the next morning after several attempts, he claimed he didn't get any messages or calls. They towed it back to the dealership but would not allow me to exchange or return the vehicle because of it being sold "as is"... Eight hours. Not even a full day and they couldn't stand behind their vehicle. When I called the next day to check on the status, Dan answered with, "What Pacifica? I don't know what you're talking about". DAN SIGNED THE PAPERWORK WITH ME. When I got in touch with Gary he said that his mechanic was in the process of fixing the coolant tank and catalytic converter and I could come pay for the repairs when it's done... Eventually Gary made a deal with me that he would pay for half of the repairs since it happened so soon, but the repairs had to be done through his mechanic. THREE WEEKS later, Gary tells me that my car is done. I go to pick it up and not 2 minutes after I leave, the check engine light is beeping. I turn right around and the next day am told that the O2 sensor needs replacing. A week later Gary says it'll be done tomorrow, next morning I drive to the dealership... My car isn't there. Gary "wanted to drive it home a couple of times to make sure that it was running perfectly". The next day he says that he needs to fix the front brakes so that I have a perfect car. OVER FIVE WEEKS AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR I am finally able to pick it up and bring it home. Only, when I picked it up, I was in shock. Gary put 1,500 miles on my car. 1,500!! The car was filthy dirty - dust and dirt smeared on the seats, dog hair everywhere, poptart crumbs, candy wrappers - you name it! OH, and the tires were different. DIFFERENT TIRES. At that point I was done talking to those unprofessional, disgusting men so I decided not to call them back. Not long after this my car broke down. And broke down again. And again. Same issues that Gary's mechanic "FIXED" every time. Did I mention that Gary's mechanic installed my catalytic converter UPSIDE DOWN AND BACKWARDS? Yeah, it melted the O2 sensor wires - another fun fix. Now the head gasket needs replacing, and my mechanic said that any dealer that did a full inspection on a vehicle should have told me that a lot needed fixing before it was to be sold. Had I known this I never would have purchased the pile of junk. They put bandaids on it to get it out of their sight and didn't care in the least bit if they screwed someone over. OH, and when they promised me that they would cover 1/2 the cost of my repairs - they didn't! I brought the invoice to my TRUSTWORTHY mechanic, and they said that I paid the repairs in full. Despicable. I was taken advantage of, and they completely abused the power they felt that they had over me. I hope that no one else has to deal with their lack of professionalism and dishonesty. I would never recommend giving them your business. read more
