I have belonged to this credit union since January 1973. Recently a fellow member shared with me that it wasn't the same as before. Well, over the last 50 years I have had to use every kind of service they provide- loans, checking, savings, mortgages, vehicle loans, you name it...I have NEVER had anything but a friendly, courteous, helpful and fair interactions. I've been with other banks, credit unions and worked at other banks and credit unions. I don't think any other financial institution I have had dealings with could come close to the level of friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service I have consistently received from the DPDFCU/RMLEFCU/Affidian CR. Union, regardless of the name, the quality has always been the same read more

EVERYTHING! 1-Our mortgage statement ALWAYS arrives after it's due, and has since we got our loan. 2-Even though they have "online" banking, when I attempted to make a payment after hours, it wouldn't let me, because they weren't open 3-They actually paid our property taxes so late that we got a notice a lien would be put on our home if not paid immediately. We paid the taxes that day. A few months later, we were told we had paid twice, because eventually they did pay. It caused a lot of confusion for us and the county. 4-When they switched to Affidian, there was very little information provided. Our statements continue to come from Rocky Mountain FCU, but everything else says "Affidian" 5-Unable to pay our mortgage online, unless the money comes from an account within their establishment. So, we send in a check every month, which with all the possible delays with the postal service now does not feel reliable. We never receive a receipt or acknowledgement our payment has been received, other than checking to see if our check has been cashed before the end of the month, and checking to see if it was applied in our account, which brings up another issue we've had, repeatedly of having trouble logging in and having to call in for help. It always seems to be a mystery of why it's not working. All the above, annoying and inconvenient to say the least. However... 5-Because it's a new year, and we don't know how the property tax will affect our monthly payment, in 2026, we attempted to log in to see if there was any information in our account. We couldn't log in, so called, not realizing they were not open at all on Saturdays. An AI named "Aspen" answered. It first requested a SS# and DOB. It informed us there was no account associated with that info. It asked for our account #, and again, informed us there was account with that info. When we called in the following Monday, feeling pretty concerned about what might be going on, the human attendant told us that Aspen "doesn't know anything." So then, why are they using it, and why is it asking for personal account information?? This place is not run well, at all. read more

Zero stars! RMLEFCU was Fantastic we looked forward to seeing the long time employees & enjoyed how they treated us. However, upon changing to affidian the staff were let go, a new teller had the nerve to tell me "they were let go because they were doing bad things" I feel the NEW employees are the ones "doing bad things"! Quality is gone! The staff are not attentive, caring or personable. After applying for a loan & learning about something false on my report their "loan officer" Enriquesent the answer in an unsealed letter! I asked the carrier why it was open & he showed me it was sent that way because the glue was still on it! Prior to that I continually asked to meet a loan officer & was always told they would call but never did. We are also filing complaints as strange things are happening with our money & accounts. Leaving ASAP!!!! read more

Associates are friendly and accommodating. Needed a notary and got it done here. Easy peasy. We waited on the comfy couch and I liked the charging plug which pops up of the couch armrest. How cool is that? I recommend their credit union for sure. read more

Affidian Credit Union - Cell phone charging - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Take your business somewhere else! My wife and I went in to get a HELOC and the mortgage lender said they ran their credit checks through Experian, which was not the case. There was a 75 point difference in credit check scores. We needed some time to figure out where the discrepancy was coming from because the lender was not helpful, even after showing him my score from Experian. We reached back out to Affidian, through email, numerous phone calls with voice mails, and nobody ever got back to us. Finally we got through and had a conversation with the mortgage lender who was not pleasant, not apologetic, and still not helpful. He said they would follow up with management and get back to us. We are still waiting for that...Not a good feeling when we are considering having six-digit loans with a credit union that we can't get a hold of. Follow through on communication is a must. read more

Zero stars would be better. I could give the story but I'll save you the time and just say this, please go somewhere else. I have never spoken to someone that wasn't rude, or condescending. I will never give them any more business nor will I encourage this bank in anyway. read more

I have been a member for years and when my husband lost his job due to severe health issues we unfortunately had some automatic payments come out without our knowledge and due to the loss of income it took a day but we were back and good standing . We are not opted into overdraft protection, but unfortunately, the account still dipped negative and when I called to see if I could get some help with a fee reversal and given the situation and the fact that we are never negative or have asked for any fees refunded. I was told sorry but unless it's an error with the credit union, we can't refund it unless you like to apply for overdraft line Of credit. Which is the complete opposite of a resolution when you tell somebody that you have a loss of income and are facing hardships. I've been with plenty financial institutions in my life and at any time that I've needed help they are always happy to help or at least come up with a solution that doesn't cause more harm than good. This is just my personal experience, but it definitely makes you feel like you're just a number even to your small credit union. read more

Ever since I married into a police family I've used RMLEFCU, and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Every time we visit the branch we are treated like family, they make opening new accounts very easy, and are happy to provide advice where appropriate when asked. The location is always clean, full of goodies, and a nice place to visit. You will never wait an exorbitant amount of time. "Going to the bank" isn't the tedious chore it once was. The real kicker with RMLEFCU though is their speedy and efficient responses to fraud. I know there was a time when my husband's card kept acquiring fraudulent charges for some reason, and he always found out because the folks at RMLEFCU had already found out, credited his account the money back, canceled his card, and were just calling to let him know a new one was on the way. That's service that is impossible to find in a large bank system. Today my husband noticed a fraudulent charge on our account and called me in a panic, asking me to call the bank because we didn't spend a certain amount of money at a local grocery store (the reason RMLEFCU didn't pick up on it first) that our account was showing we did. When I called I spoke with Patrick R. who made the process of reporting fraud so easy the headache I got upon learning of this disappeared. He said he knew exactly what was going on, he had seen a pattern of this recently in the Denver area, and let me know what next steps to protect our account needed to be, and handled all of it in less than 20 minutes. I was laughing with my husband about what kind of ordeal this would have been if we used Wells Fargo. Thank goodness we have RMLEFCU because it really was the easiest thing in the world to get everything fixed. If you are eligible for an account with them you would be a fool not to take advantage of it. Thank you so much for the excellent service and ongoing dependability! You made my life SO much easier today :) read more

I have been banking here since...well...birth. My grandfather was a police officer and opened an account for me when I was born. I have never gone to another bank...nor will I. Sarah is one of the most genuine people I have ever met and she always remembers my name (pretty sure there is no coincidence there, right? Let me have my moment). This credit union has been with me through my first debit card to a car loan. They also helped catch a sneaky identity thief within one day of suspicious activity! With all of this being said, I was more impressed with the credit union this past March then I ever thought I would be. When my grandfather passed, Sarah and another teller came to his funeral and delivered a hand written card that the ENTIRE facility signed. If that isn't exceptional customer service, then I don't know what is. They have definitely ensured that my family will be life long customers. read more

The staff at RMLEFCU are almost always extremely courteous and helpful. They have one employee Patrick who, although very knowledgeable, gets impatient when I ask a lot of questions over the phone. His tone changes from upbeat and happy to one of annoyance. I ask a lot of questions because, unlike him, I am unfamiliar with all the workings and options with my accounts. He just needs to slow down and explain things to me in a patient manner and be aware that not all of us "get" all the issues. He needs to be aware that his tone of voice does convey his impatience. I have nothing but good things to say about the rest of the staff! read more

I used to like the bank. No longer during COVID-19 when my spouse list his work they still charge 28.00 overdraft fee even when the charge was $1.28. There customer service is getting worse. Not interested banking with them any more read more

Service at the Credit Union is great. The upgrade to the system is not and many previously available online products are no longer available. Being closed for more than 48 hours was not okay. Upgrade has caused way too many glitches. read more

Simply put, this is by far the best banking establishment around! Amazing customer service!

I can't say enough good things about RMLEFCU! I frequent the Park Meadows location and always have a great experience there. I go into the branch rather than just the drive thru so that I can visit with all the friendly bank employees. They are always so professional, friendly, and offer great advice for any financial need that we may have. I know that my family will be customers for life! read more

I used to love this bank. I have been with them for about 20 years. They have helped me get back on my feet financially and have worked with me with car loans. Not any more. In December i called to let them know i lost my debit card and would like a replacement. I called the international number, and the gentleman who helped me couldn't understand English well enough to help me. Instead of sending me a new debit card, he closed my credit card. I found out it was closed when i offered to pay my quests dinner bill on New Years Eve. Since December 1st, i have now requested a new card 4 different times, and still no card. Last week, i was promised by a supervisor a card would be overnighted out on a Thursday. It's Saturday, and still no card. When this supervisor looked into my account, it showed the cards were being mailed to my son's address, even though they assured me the cards would be mailed to my address. I am the main account holder. I would get the card from my son, but he lives an hour and a half away. There is no way i can use my money in this account until i have a debit card (i don't write checks). I'm done with the excuses, so i am currently transferring my 2 savings account and checking account to another bank. I will pay off my car loan (it's a small balance) and refinance my new car with my new account. My husband just received a huge settlement and put it in this bank, that account will be closed as well. I have a huge settlement from my parents property sales that i was going to put in this account. It will go to my new bank. It seems like when Ruth and Lyndsey no longer worked there, everything went bad. I'm just tired of the run around. I expect this from a bank like wells Fargo, not this bank. read more

I have been at another credit union for almost 40 years. In that time, the other CU went from being friendly and helpful to just another big corporation. A big corporation, that if you call, you're just hoping to luck out and to find someone who takes a interest in your issue. Or even better, talking to the same person you talked to yesterday? Not likely. I joined RMLEFCU primarily for the Visa Platinum card they offer. I have 2 other Visa cards, but those cards refuse to show a daily balance. On my other cards, both online and monthly statements, they only show charges and credits, and a 'balance' at the top of the statement, and not a balance on the 4th, the 22nd, etc. It drives me nuts. I want to make a payment and see the balance go down by that amount, on that day, just like a checking account does. A family member who's a RMLECU member showed me their RMLECU Visa statements, and their card shows a daily balance, just like a checking account does. While I was in the process of becoming a member, I had a few issues & questions between credit unions. I had a RMLECU employee (Jonathon) who called me back, gave me their phone number and email, and worked with me over a couple of weeks on various problems. It was and is wonderful. I appreciate their friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. I'm glad I became a member. read more
