I've been to a few different locations and the Stockton, CA location is hands down the best location I have been made a purchase. They always offer suggestions and they always remember a face. I don't go for months at a time and usually I will get remembered. In the beginning I had sooo many questions and they would answer them in a way that was clear for me to understand. It feels like the Whole Foods health and beauty section on steroids(in a good way!) I always find something new and exciting at this store. It is a very small store and sometimes they have local vendors at the store. The girls at the counter seemed friendly and yes they were talking to each other but did not notice anything disrespectful as other reviewers had noticed. I highly recommend this place and also their magazine. It has delicious recipes and is a nice read for an afternoon tea time.

Part of our purchase was a package of wrist wraps that was supposed to contain two wraps. When we opened the package at home, we discovered that it only contained one. When we had the opportunity to return to the store, we brought the item back expecting a simple exchange for a sealed package that contained both wraps. Unfortunately, our experience with the manager, Jeremy, was very disappointing. When we explained the situation, he initially stood there in silence and simply said, "I don't know what to do." After my husband questioned the lack of response, Jeremy explained that he was concerned we could have kept one wrap and then returned the package, stating that he gets a lot of people coming in for returns and exchanges. Jeremy stated that he protects the business by questioning and declining returns/exchanges. Except this time he did the total opposite because this negative interaction caused him customers. We understand that stores need to protect themselves from fraudulent returns, but we were the customers who purchased a defective/missing-item package and came back to have the issue resolved. We were not asking for anything unreasonable--we simply wanted to exchange the incomplete package for a sealed one containing the two wraps we originally paid for. It took some time and questioning before the manager ultimately agreed to the exchange. While we were eventually made whole, the interaction left a very negative impression. This is our local GNC, and we were planning to continue shopping here. Unfortunately, after this experience, we no longer feel comfortable giving this location our business, particularly when the manager made what should have been a straightforward customer-service issue feel like we were being treated with suspicion. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customer service matters, especially when customers are spending a significant amount of money and choosing to become members.

Both times I've been here, I've been helped by employees who happily helped me with a smile! I called the store today to make sure I could exchange an item I got online at the physical store. Theresa greeted me over the phone and told me her computer shows that they don't have my particular flavor in stock (Optimum 100% whey white chocolate), but she assured me that even though they don't have it in stock at the moment, she can order it for me. So I drove over to Weberstown Mall to start the exchange process. Then Theresa took the extra step which made me plop on my keyboard to write this review. She painstakingly went through the store AND backroom to check every box to absolutely make sure that there wasn't any white chocolate in stock! Sadly there wasn't (boo!), but the fact Theresa went through that needless trouble was indeed very sweet of her. Great store + great employees = happy customer!
