I purchased a Groupon to Aesthetics Anti-aging salon on September 5th for an hour long massage. The massus was very professional, however my massage was only 45 minutes at the most and I had purchased an additional Microdermabrasion for 25$ that was also done that day in addition to the hour massage. A few days after the appointment, I called the shop and asked to speak with the owner. I notified her that the service I had paid for through Groupon was not exactly what I received. I did not ask to be compensated or to receive additional services. The owner told me she would give me another facial. So we set up an appointment in November. I arrived on time to the appointment. I was very happy with the services I received on that day. The owner then offered me a microdermabrasion package deal of 6 treatments at $67 each instead of the normal $125. I paid for 2 of the treatments that day which totaled $133. And I made the appointment for the second week in December. I arrived on time for this appointment as well. After this appointment, I paid for the remainder of my sessions which totaled $267.50, which is for the remaining 4 treatments. I had my second paid visit the second weekend in January, I arrived on time for this one as well. After this treatment, I scheduled an appointment for February 9th at 9 a.m. On this Saturday, I thought my appointment was at 10am and the owner called me at 9:05 a.m. asking where I was. I told her I thought it was at 10 and I could try to be there within the next 15 minutes. She then explained that if a client is 15 minutes late she needs to reschedule the appointment. So we rescheduled for Monday, February 11 at 5:15. On Monday, I was heading to the appointment and because of the weather and a traffic delay; I realized I was not going to make it by 5:15. So I called her at 5:20 to let her know I was running late because of traffic. She did not answer. Since I was so close to the shop, I did not leave a message and planned on telling her when I got there. When I arrived, it was 5:30 on the dot. I walked in and the owner just stared at me. I immediately apologized for being late and explained that there was very bad traffic and tried to get there as soon as I could and I told her I tried calling her to let her know. She immediately said she had been there the whole time and never got a missed call. When I told her I could show her on my phone she got an attitude and told me she didn't need to see anything. I could tell she was upset. She told me since she was there she would go ahead with the appointment, but her policy is that if you are 15 minutes late, she has to reschedule. Well it was right at 15 minutes, and I did not mind having to reschedule. She told me she could care less if the weather is bad or there was a wreck, her policy is her policy. I was not going to stay in her shop with her acting like that so I told her "I can tell your upset, I will just call and reschedule." And I proceeded to walk out the door. When I got to my car, she comes storming out, yelling at me telling me I had no business coming in there with an attitude. I told her I did not have an attitude and that I would rather have a refund after the way she had just treated me. She then continued to talk harshly and said "I do not do a refund; that is noted at the bottom of the receipt so you need to get yourself in here and reschedule." So I closed my car door and proceeded to go back inside. She then started yelling again telling me that she had been there since 8 am and she was tired and she didn't have to put up with this. I asked her why she was yelling at me since I was not raising my voice at her, for which she replied, "I can do whatever the h** I want to, this is my business." She then told me how long she had been in business and she didn't have to deal with my attitude I could talk to her attorney. I asked her why she even made the appointment so late in the day if she was not up to it. And she said 5:15 is the latest I will take somebody. I said well I just need to reschedule preferably with someone else. She said, "Oh yes cause you do not want me to put my hands on you right now!" She told me the appointment would be with the other massus who was new and her machine was not as upgraded as hers was. I said that's fine I have had before. She said, "Oh that's right, you complained about her." "Well I won't do that to her then." She asked me when I could come and I said only weekends or after 5 because I work. She made the appointment for March 9th. Then I left. She tried calling me twice. My husband answered the phone and she immediately started yelling at him to confirm our address so she could mail our refund and that we were never to come to here place of business again. She continued to yell and cuss at my husband and hung up on him. The owner did not mail the check for the refund as she agreed and still refuses to give the services or a refund. read more
