The reason they are the best, they have the best facilities, all their locations are clean (my favorite is a Macon). The staff is very friendly, helpful and very discreet. As a man it can be awkward going in to a place full of women, but they make you feel comfortable. My Esthetician, was very kind and didn't make it awkward. I usually get my butt and strip waxed and they do it quick and painlessly. I don't ever have breakouts in that area. I always visit the bathroom to ensure all areas a presentable. I want to try a Manzilian but I live in ATL and it's a 90 min drive to their location. I use to visit more frequently when I traveled for work. My only wish is they had a few locations north like even McDonough. It would take me only 45 min and trust me, it's worth the drive. They have the best prices and they don't over charge me like in Atlanta. I have very little and fine hair on the areas they wax so it is faint easy and quick to wax me (a man of color). In Atlanta they automatically assume I have hair like my counterparts and over charge me. So I don't use places that do that I will wait until I visit WaxStrip and have it done. As a man I encourage everyone that has a WaxStrip near them to visit. The have licensed and certified staff. Men if you go in for service, be sure to hit the restroom to ensure all areas being waxed are presentable, that will save time and money. Also men their are only a couple folks that can wax men the manager and a lovely young lady with tattoos. I forget her name. But they both are great! I texted for a couples microdermabrasion facial appointment last week, but all of the appointments were booked. However, I received a text for two availabilities this afternoon and I confirmed. Nice small office in an office park. Close to the local pizza joint that I've visited before. I like that she uses all natural products. The facial was similar to the treatments I've received in the past. Her touch was so soft that a few times I had to catch myself from dosing off into a tranquil sleep. The studio is quaint, clean, and smells like a spa. I went in for a wax (of the most personal kind) and she was such a professional. Hannah was nice but clearly not experienced with the dip powder technique. It was like she was practicing on me, a paying customer. She used her fingernail to scrape off the existing old gel polish on one of my nails and I asked her why she wasn't using her implements? She said "so I don't hurt you" ??? Her application of the powder was clumsy. I finally asked the owner to take over. She did and my nails look stunning! Whew! She saved the day. My advice is do not book clients with inexperienced techs!!! It's frustrating and unprofessional. The lady behind me asked Rebecca to take over her pedicure because the guy who was working on her clearly didn't know what he was doing either!! It's amazing that they have been at this location since the 70's. I didn't get to see the entire shop but from what I saw it was very decent. I was thankful they were opened on a Sunday.
