I called Black Diamond and they understood the emergency and shortly their plumber arrived. Michael H was polite, efficient, and a born educator. He replaced the spouting pipe with a copper one (I was delighted with that) and answered questions I had about the temperature of the new water heater I had had installed in September (not by Black Diamond). He reset the temperature on the water heater (it was scalding hot the moment I turned on the tap). I told him about a different issue I was having and he explained the problem, but said he could not correct it at this time since he had another call. I told him I would call the Diamond again to have that handled. Michael was a wonderful representative for Black Diamond and I would hope to have him respond when I call next week. People had told me for years that Black Diamond was VERY expensive so I had avoided calling them. I want to go on record saying that the company is more reasonable than several of the other companies with which I have done business in the past Black Diamond is not only more reasonable but they finish the job correctly (unlike one company whose representative reversed the hot and cold taps in the shower). This company is GREAT! After another company replaced my furnace and messed it up by miss matching…read morethe plenum size and furnace I got McHenry to do it. The other furnace was crap and only lasted a year before the blower failed (because of the pressure miss match caused by the plenum mismatch). They replaced the furnace with a good one, AND got it up off the floor like it SHOULD have been. In addition to correcting the plenum, they put a NEW and correct filter housing on it. That doesn't seem like a big thing except the prior company had some dummy install a filter housing with the screws facing IN to the slot where the filter sits making it a real pain to replace. So ya, I definitely recommend them.

Mid Oct 2024 they moved my 3ton A/C unit over and further from house making it easier for me to keep clean. It's taken me some time to write this review as I'm still recovering from surgery. Sure enough, there was a flex pipe instead of a solid pipe running outside through the crawl space. If any of you have ever done any work in a crawl space you'll know it's a difficult job. Reynaldo was down there for hours. He showed me a video of the before and after work preformed. He did a fantastic job and was very respectful of my daughters home.
