Didn't pass local Hampshire codes until BD paid Village of Hampshire off. BD couldn't fix what they had screwed up including a basement door that worked for 20 yrs. Got Illinois Attorney General involved, and BBB.-they said they had lots of complaints on BLACK DIAMOND. They used to be good. BD said "they could send anybody they wanted to" to fix their mess ups. Mid Oct 2024 they moved my 3ton A/C unit over and further from house making it easier for me to keep clean. It's taken me some time to write this review as I'm still recovering from surgery. Come Spring or Fall I'm planning to renew my maintenance contract. They come out twice a year to check HVAC and clean everything up. Again outstanding Customer Service every one works with you. This company is GREAT! After another company replaced my furnace and messed it up by miss matching…read morethe plenum size and furnace I got McHenry to do it. The other furnace was crap and only lasted a year before the blower failed (because of the pressure miss match caused by the plenum mismatch). They replaced the furnace with a good one, AND got it up off the floor like it SHOULD have been. In addition to correcting the plenum, they put a NEW and correct filter housing on it. That doesn't seem like a big thing except the prior company had some dummy install a filter housing with the screws facing IN to the slot where the filter sits making it a real pain to replace. So ya, I definitely recommend them.

Sure enough, there was a flex pipe instead of a solid pipe running outside through the crawl space. If any of you have ever done any work in a crawl space you'll know it's a difficult job. Reynaldo was down there for hours. He showed me a video of the before and after work preformed. He did a fantastic job and was very respectful of my daughters home.
