But, that's ok-Trenton is a cute little town so we enjoyed the unintentional exploring. We expected the store footprint to be a little larger, but there were still plenty of things to look at and choose from. Metalwork dominates. There was a flock of hot pink metal flamingos, huge multi-colored roosters and bright red cardinals on wire hangers and metal stakes. There were enormous sunflowers, wind chimes and rock sculptures. And lots more. The back room had some vintage items including a couple of ladders that would be great for hanging quilts. According to the very nice gentleman behind the counter, they are usually open spring - Christmas and the stock changes as they sell out and replace with new merchandise. Around the holidays it becomes a big gift shop. If you are in the area, it is worth a stop. My advice would be to pair it with lunch and a visit to some of the shops along W. Jefferson downtown and make a day of it. You won't get dirty at The Dirty Hoe, but neither will you have to work hard to have a good time. Overalls not required.
