We are escape room enthusiasts and we've been to lots of them in many different states and…read morecities..... Total Escape is our absolute favorite! The rooms are clever, well designed and immersive. Clues are only given if you ask (some places will give you clues even if you don't ask which can be annoying) and the game masters are always friendly and informative. We also like that if you book the room, it closes out so you aren't in with random ppl that you don't know. I love meeting new ppl and socializing but when it comes to escape rooms, it's just not the best idea. The rooms all have a good mixture of different types of puzzles to solve so that everyone in your group can add their talents to the effort as well. And since I don't want to ruin any of the room surprises, you'll have to go and experience on your own but it's a fun way to spend time together and work as a team. Highly recommend!

For just $6 you can bring your own kayak, SUP, or canoe to launch on their sandy little beach. Or you can rent one of their kayaks. Even on weekends with decent weather I've seen them mostly available on the spot. There are also options for an annual pass, fishing, and even a paved ramp to put in motorized boats. You could also very easily just sit and relax here by the waterside or stroll around. But if you want to get on the lake, this is the prime spot. Bird watching along the shoreline is great from the vantage point of the kayak. With a vast array of birdsong to ID, you can even see kingfishers ducking, diving, and doing anything to ruin your chances of proving they exist with a photograph. But at least you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing float to ease the soul.

We were so close and every time we asked for a clue, it was something we figured out but just didn't know how to do to get the next part we needed. I do like that they don't actually lock you in the room. If you need to leave for any reason, you actually can. We got as many clues as needed, and finished with 3 minutes to spare! It was extremely fun and we definitely want to go back!
