This place was so cute! The winery was a perfect spot for a girls night out! The wine was of course amazing, the charcuterie board was perfect. The service was great, the food came out quick and the server was patient with us and very helpful.

I loved the sky tour that you had to take to get up the hill. It took about 10 minutes each way. Not for those who are afraid of heights At the top there's a "winery" with great views, a zip line and alpine coaster ride. I can't wait to go back and try out the rides (I was too dressed up for all that ) The winery is not really a winery but just 2 different restaurants that offer a nice variety of wine. They do have their own private label wines that were good! One restaurant has a larger selection of food, more busy and is family friendly. The other one that we ate at was 21+ with a limited menu. Both have great views of the Mississippi. Only an hour outside of St. Louis, definitely worth the trip!

I went out to Aerie's resort to try out their Alpine wooden coaster, on my 3rd and final ride at the beginning of the alpine coaster my hat fell off and when I told the 2 workers (Older man with ponytail and Young male), They let me go on one more free ride so I could point the direction of where my hat is found, The Sky point was fun and slow but great view! I got to try their Gondola and Open Bench-Chair from to and back to my car!

I really enjoyed the sky ride today with my mom and sister. We took the gondola going up (very hot on the inside fyi ) staff does offer you water which is a plus and open ride going down to feel the breeze. It was slow and steady and you really can get pretty picturesque views. Once you get to the top you can get off and walk around the winery. The winery is beautiful . The only con is they don't do tastings. Didn't really like the menu options so we did not eat. Gift shop was nice and music was pleasant. Parking was congested but not enough to complain. Short lines and they also offer alpine coaster and a zip line experience .

This place isn't exactly the typical winery it does have a nice restaurant to enjoy, wine, and food and sometimes they do have a live band but today there was not a band. I did not get food or wine I was there just to take a ride on the Gondala to take a ride on the Alpine coaster which was a super fun coaster ride through the woods and hills of Grafton, Illinois. It's a nice chill spot I would suggest you try it at least once.

Once you order you're given your drinks at the counter and a number if you order food. There's both indoor and outdoor seating with lots of windows and they usually have live music going. I like that you can order different types of alcohol, wine, and beer so there's something for everyone here. Although I haven't had the food yet I have ordered drinks and my favorite was the blackberry slushie they make. It was so refreshing, a nice break from seltzers on the water. The live music varies which means the crowd does too. It can get crowded so be sure to get there at a decent time on weekends if you want to avoid sitting outside.

It wasn't crowded and they still had a live band playing. The tasting area is on the main level but I think they closed that area early today and we ordered our tasting upstairs (dining area). Staff was very nice and helpful. They shared their favorites and the popular wines too. I found a few to be really good. The views were nice and this would be a nice place to dine with large groups. Lots of dining space and the parking lot wasn't bad. If in the area, I would return to try their food and another tasting.

How are you doing the Cinco de Mayo dinner cruise which was from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Upon entering, it was very professionally set up they took your name at the door and as soon as you walked in was the bar which was very convenient so you can get your drink before you sit. The two bartenders said they were fairly new, but I cannot tell they held it down all night. Drinks were on point and they were getting the line down really fast no matter how long it got. Drinks were also very reasonably priced. I don't think I paid over five dollars for any drink. As for the food, the cruise included a unlimited taco bar, which was very good. The chips were very fresh and the meat was very well seasoned. I love that they include fresh guac and fresh sour cream, which I think is the perfect addition to any taco bar! Totally blew me away…read more I moved back to the area almost three years ago, but had not come to WPW. Then recently, I found out that my 50th class reunion was going to be held there. Hearing that news, I knew it was time to come and check it out. When I arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday, I was shocked how large the venue was and how full the parking lot was. I quickly realized, Wild Pickens Winery is a hot spot and the place to be seen on weekends. They have a fairly extensive wine menu, it was larger then what I was expecting. I enjoyed two glasses of Cabernet and was impressed with its robust flavor. When my server told me, all glasses of wine were $7, my frugal personality smiled. To my surprise they had an extensive menu. I was expecting a very simple menu of only a few items, but they had it all. Their menu had entrees, burgers and wood fired pizzas. I had eaten brunch earlier so I wasn't that hungry, but wanted to try something. I ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms and they hit the spot. They were stuffed with spinach, cream cheese and parmesan. The order came with three good sized mushrooms, so it would be perfect for one or sharing. They had a band playing in the main room inside and the music was super loud. Friends that I ran into there, told me in good weather the band is outside and makes for a more enjoyable listening experience. The loud music is why they only got a 4 Star rating. The service was small town, down home country friendly. WPW is only open Thursday thru Sunday and I'll definitely be back. I gotta come back and try one of their wood fired pizzas.

We were immediately greeted by the owner, Todd, who was behind the bar servicing customers. He took the time to thank all of us for coming in and shook each of our hands. Todd, separated us from the dry wine drinkers to the sweet wine drinkers, sharing with us his top recommendations for each category. Unanimously! We all enjoyed the blueberry wine the most. We all literally bought a bottle! LOL. Todd had to leave us for other duties, but left us in the care of his staff. These ladies were great and fun. After our wine tasting, we sat to order food. We ordered the meat lovers and the loaded baked potato pizza and a few side salads to share. Never thought of a baked potato as a pizza, but this was sooo good!! The food in general was delicious, fresh, and made to order. The winery itself was super cute. The outside seating area was packed with folks, rocking out to some live music. The inside seating area was surprisingly very large. A large dining space with a separate event space and video gaming area. Thank you Todd for welcoming us and thanks to your team for helping to make our experience enjoyable. We look forward to visiting you all again!

Disappointing Experience and Poor Coordination Our…read moreexperience with Renaissance Wine Garden was deeply disappointing. John and Simeen Cook, the owners, do not seem to communicate with each other, and that lack of coordination falls directly onto couples trying to plan their wedding. John made several promises during the tour, only to disappear afterward, and Simeen seemed unaware of everything he had committed to. Instead of working as a team, they left us feeling like their only priority was themselves, not the couple or the event. For the price, you receive nothing beyond access to the space. There is no help with setup, decorating, or teardown. Every small detail--neon signs, firepit, draping--comes with an additional charge. Access to the venue is extremely limited: ceremony site and suites at 3pm, reception area not until 6pm, and guests cannot enter until 6:30pm. By the time dinner, cake, and toasts are done, you're left with barely two hours of dancing before everything must end at 10pm, despite the contract stating 11pm. The final hour is reserved for you to clean up because the venue provides no assistance. We were even told we could access the reception area slightly early, but only if it didn't "look like setting up," because customers were present. It was uncomfortable and unwelcoming, even though we were paying to be there. The bar was another point of confusion--Simeen couldn't clearly explain how it worked. They also advertise onsite catering for groups under 75, yet discouraged us from using it and pushed us toward outside catering instead. Overall, this venue forces couples to hire additional help for everything, driving costs far beyond what most budgets allow. The lack of flexibility, support, and professionalism caused unnecessary stress and anxiety for both the bride and her mother. I cannot recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding. Due to all the additional stress my daughter had to go find another venue and I have not received any of my deposit back as of yet. The wedding event was 5 months from the date of cancellation.
