While they have a large selection of beauty products, the quality is lackluster (nail polish particularly disappointing, as well as creams that leave a sticky residue). I was able to enjoy a delicious lunch that consisted of various sauteed vegetables and potatoes in sauces, and a piece of fish in a salty chili sauce, all served over rice. The entire combination was only $23. Eaten with the bag of crispy fish crackers I bought, it was perfectly filling and I would enjoy eating it again. I also purchased a jar of sauce for fried chicken (unfortunately, one of the few with no preservatives or chemical additives), mini shrimp-filled eggrolls, and a bag of freeze dried jackfruit. Indo market is exactly the place to go to, although I am not sure whether the reason for it's establishment really is to sooth the homesick Southeast Asian population. In this market you can find the most authetic ingredients and snacks imported directly from places like Indonesia and Malaysia. Kaya paste, durian jam are just some of the examples. Not only dry goods are available here, even something fresh! Lime leaves, fresh lemon grass, sweet basil... basically the ingredients you would find in any Southeast Asian dishes could be found here; so I bet this is the best place to go to if you want to make those dishes from scratch at home. Whereas for snacks, dried durian and crackers with durian filling are not something you would normally see in ordinary supermarkets and they could be found in abundance here. How about ginger tea? Different brands are offered here for you to choose from. Some like it sweet while others like it hot and spicy; there is even a brand that adds chili to boost up the heat factor. I could go on and on and describe the many special items here but it would be unthoughtful of me to bore you with my wordy and lengthy descriptions. Pretty much anything you can find in any other market in the nearby malls (outside of specialty medicines from Watson's), you can pretty much find here. Conveniences such as bottled water, cold medicine, wet wipes, etc. are at prices competitive with even the cheaper shops around. But this does not translate to low quality -- you'll find the big international brands here as well at great prices (especially good if you're a traveler and looking for specific hygiene and toiletry items). Also surprising is how good their bakery and prepared foods are (especially the sushi). Excellent prices but equal to restaurant quality.

When shopping, make sure you walk up and down the street to compare prices and stock before buying anything. You can usually get vendors to match one another in price, or knock some money off the price (especially if you are buying multiple pieces from them). While I wouldn't exactly call it a tourist attraction, it's a nice view of normal Hong Kong life shopping at wet markets for daily food.
