I came here after a failed surgery trying to get off of opiates they left me for 30 hours without any medical support or medication they claim to offer detoxification but they only offer it Monday through Friday because weekends there are no available doctors or nurse practitioners And may I say not even doctors there's only nurse practitioners that you can call and talk to they claimed to offer a detoxification, but they don't,NO DOCTOR ONLY NURSE PRACTITIONERS . They told me a doctor would be available Monday through Friday. Only a nurse practitioner WAS AVAILABLE TO CALLcould be called over the weekend. They promised a 24 hour nurse doctor. None of that was true. They promised 24 hour chef. None of that was true. The chef provides no breakfast. He only provides lunch and he leaves a dinner for us to warm up for later. I'm not complaining about the chef. He is a very nice man and Karen one of the therapist. There is a wonderful lady. She really does care about patients. The conditions were unacceptable at this treatment center there were blood stains on all the sheets there were stains throughout everywhere. The bathrooms were dirty. Everything was dirty. They only have someone come in deep clean every two months.. I was forced to Detox in a shared room with a roommate who kept the TV blasting until midnight watching crime murders horrific TV shows that only added to my PTSD and in no way would she turn it down on a high volume because of her hearing I have never been to a treatment center where they placed you in withdrawal with another person in your room without proper medical care supervision or even a therapist even the Uber driver who picked me up said I was the third person that was leaving early because of how bad this place is that says everything the center should not even be allowed to operate What they are doing feels both unsafe and unlawful vulnerable people deserve real help not false promises and neglect there are plenty of other places that provide proper treatment and care please for your own safety look elsewhere. This may be my fourth review ever and I'm 45 years old, but I feel strongly care about people trying to overcome addiction.i truly believe in karma I truly hope this message reaches anyone who is struggling and searching for the right help. the last 30 hours that I was there was a complete horror that I will never forget and I wish upon no one that this happens please there are so many other treatment centers that don't offer false promises and lies. I've had a lot of bumps in the roads and doors in my face in the past. She immediately was helpful, friendly and kind in a way that I haven't experienced in a long time. You know when you just really need a break? You just need somebody to help you with something because if somebody doesn't help you, you don't know if you're capable of doing it? Well that's how it was and she gave me that break. She was able to help fix my brother up with the right program for him. I can't thank her enough. Trying to get her into the right SNF was a major challenge, but when Alta finally accepted her, we were thrilled. (My mother-in-law had been a previous patient there, and we liked the facility.) From the moment my mom arrived at Alta, the staff was warm and friendly and took great care of her. She always had a smile on her face and told me how much she enjoyed being there. She was always in the activities room, either participating in some fun activity or at least sitting in there watching others when she wasn't physically able to join in. She particularly enjoyed jewelry making and the visits from the service dogs. I was always greeted by Rachel when she saw me, and she would ask me to help pick out my mom's food choices for the upcoming few days. The food always looked and smelled great, and my mom usually ate everything on her plate. After about a month at Alta, she hadn't been making much improvement due to her condition and some underlying issues that no one had known about. She had stopped eating and was sleeping a lot more than usual. Jose, one of the nurses, called me one evening to let me know that she was very dehydrated and had a weak pulse, so they were starting her on an IV and monitoring her closely. About an hour later, he called back to say she was having trouble breathing and that he had called the paramedics. Jose told us he suspected sepsis, but we couldn't figure out how that was possible. Unfortunately, she had suffered a bowel perforation, which led to septic shock and then cardiac arrest (due to a previous hospital treatment). If not for Jose's quick thinking and expertise, my mom would have passed away at Alta in her bed. Thanks to him, we were fortunate enough to get her to the hospital to say our goodbyes. Sadly, she passed away a few hours after arriving at the hospital on May 26, 2026. When we returned to Alta to gather her belongings, the staff members we spoke with were visibly saddened and shocked to hear the news. We are so grateful to Alta and their wonderful staff for taking such great care of my mom. Her last month on earth was filled with kindness and compassion, and she received so much love and care there.

I can't imagine being anywhere else after being in two different hospitals and another horrible step down facility. This made our last stop the best stop.
