The company never has anything straight, they're constantly changing things which makes everything way more complicated and adds to the lack of communication amongst coworkers in this company. The company also underpays their employees I was hired on at minimum wage level in the year I was there I got a 30 cent raise, meanwhile I was expected to do manager level work and had a very strict time limit that had me so stressed out I couldn't think of anything other than work even when I wasn't at work. Also if you ever tried to stand up for the clients because you realize they were being treated unfairly the company would attack you for it degrade you make you feel like you're stupid on and on and on. All I can say at this point is I truly hope this company Burns.

While in treatment I was called the monkey by the people staff and patients made derogatory comments about me and my skin color. There was a running joke about me the only African American in the facility being basically just a trained monkey. I brought it to the attention of the program manager and my counselor but nothing changed it seems they were afraid to address the concerns. Finally an administrator visited me at the facility and transferred me somewhere I could finally get some help. However they sent me to Grassvalley which had even less diversity but had one African American staff member at least. Who really worked hard to ensure I was heard and received some sort of treatment. Upon graduation I still have no relapse prevention plan or aftercare. I do not recommend Granite Wellness centers for treatment if you are a person of color. The institutional racism promoted by the executive management and turning a blind eye to patient welfare shows is not a place for healing.

Then the day came to drop off my son, again everyone seemed so helpful and made my son feel comfortable. After an uncomfortable hour in a half, they finally escorted him to his room and I left. Still helpful UNTIL the next day, they received payment of 1617.10 (balance insurance didn't cover) and then it was a feeling as if I dropped my son off at prison. AGAIN, he chose to go and get help at age 30. My son is a quiet person who typically just lets things go with out argument BUT this company needs to go through more training He wasn't there for a court order, he didn't get a DUI but he felt like he was looked down on and learned these employees LIE. yes lie. While you can't have your phone, if you ask they would allow for a call or pay a bill. My son tried on 3 different times and they always said "NO, You are not allowed to call from your phone". Since he was detoxing he had to take meds. They woke him every 1/2 hour to check on him...bright lights and loud noises , poke him to make sure he is alive. Night shift was the worse from 10p-7a. No heart!!!! Food is worse than hospital food. TV did not have a remote. Had to share with other rooms DVD's to watch but 80-90's maybe Scratched or missing Should have a bigger outside area to get fresh air verses a small sidewalk maybe 20ft for smokers. If you don't smoke, not fun Promises a therapist to talk to, for 7days , only had one 15 min conversation Doctor was a zoom visit Rooms are depressing looking For 450 a day, they can make a lot of improvements by adding some color , better food but most of all hire people who want to be there and are more sympathetic to the patients Shop around if you can. If you can't and you are required to go, I feel sorry for you even more through your recovery

I am impressed with the CNAs patience and compassion with their less than wonderful residents who can be cranky or down right rude and unpleasant when the CNA is just trying to make sure they are clean and safe. Maintenance has addressed and improved all my wants and needs. Social Services works with me for my outside doctor appointments and the facility doctors and nurse practitioner are excellent. Client services and actives are very upbeat and encouraging and offer various activities if interested. I would refer others to this facility.

I had complained about the burning in my stomach, but because of bad communication between the personnel, I was not given the anti reflux meds until the doctor was called after dark. I hope fate does not make me stay there ever again. The five star rating??? I would not trust it.

Vicki McDaniel, the social services director there, went out of her way to make sure that mom got a TB test, a Covid shot, and that the necessary paperwork was filled out and emailed to get mom into an assisted living facility closer to family. We could not have asked for a better experience.
