The entry price is higher than comparable facilities but somewhat justified by the extras. The community (move in) fee is significant and you should ask that it be waved as other facilities will. The feature that earns the low star rating, is their business model. After you have made the considerable commitment to moving in, they start adding service points. In 18 months, with little change in the services needed, they added approximately $3,000 per month in new fees. There was a period where increased care was actually needed, but the added service fees were not removed when the condition improved. If your loved one is cranky and occasionally declines their help, they charge for that also. The result is an upward spiral of charges that are buried in a convoluted spew of numbers on their cryptic billing statements. Don't be fooled by the fancy facade. This is an aggressive wealth transfer machine that delivers no better care than other fine assisted living facilities in the area.

I appreciate their care and acknowledgment of my MIL and us when we visit weekly. Thank you!!! Had a not so great experience early on. Felt disrespected from the marketing or 'office' folks. Maybe because I didn't wear nice clothes or look 'rich' or because I am not white. It was quite bizarre how I was not greeted when my husband was, and introduced to others as if I was a 'nanny' accompanying my 'white master'. Regardless not going to much into that on Yelp. Anyway, overall after a few months when we visited my MIL, I hardly see the 'office' folks and the ground staffs were lovely. It looks like they took care of my MIL well. Place was well staffed in the memory care unit and facility was well lit and well cared for. MIL looks comfortable and respected. It is not inexpensive but we are happy if our family is happy.

Yes, it is!…read more I've been eyeing this property ever since I saw the posted sign and learned an Aegis Living will be built here. What a fantastic location. I've heard in the past that Aegis is one of the better chains of assisted living facilities in this region. We more or less knew we wanted to be at one of their properties in our future. We received an invitation to tour the facility, and we jumped on the chance. After a light lunch, we saw many of the amenities and two of the available rooms. Frankly, we're blown away. Our guide says they are the cruise ship that never moves, and it sure looks like it. The basic plan includes the meals, some drinks, and most of the activities. When one moves here, other than the room, the other available facilities and amenities are: - Dining hall - Private dining hall to reserve - A Grotto, aka Solarium, to enjoy the sun - A bar - A movie theater with candy and popcorn - A gym with guided trainings - A spa - A salon for the ladies and a barber for the gents - A coffee and smoothie bar - A lounge with outside balcony - Once a week live music - Guided games There are probably more that I'm forgetting. We certainly like what we saw. They offer different levels of medical care packages including memory care on an as-needed basics. If our parents weren't out-of-state, we'd be signing them up for sure. Hopefully, there'll be a room available when we're ready. Awesome location and awesome facilities. 4 thumbs up.

Absolutely wonderful facility!…read more Did some extensive research on options for Gma about a year before she moved in, June of 2025. Wanted a quality place where she would feel at home and be able to make friends and socialize and stay busy. The Executive Director, Madelyn, is absolutely fabulous to work with, you can tell she really cares about the residents and has a passion for what she does. The support staff and activities team are all so welcoming, smiley and overall great to be around and provide a very warm and welcoming vibe for residents and visitors! We did some extensive research into assisted living facilities and this was by far my #1 choice for reasons I will list below: 1. The amenities - activities galore and always changing, well thought out and the activities staff are friendly and are proficient in social engagement for the elderly and cognitively impaired. They do a good job of offering lots of engagement opportunities for residents. 1.a. - Addtl ammenitites - attached bistro that is open to the public, resident key required for entry from bistro into the facility. Nice for a little change of scenery 1. b. - Addtl - salon on site! Addtl fee, but there is a hair salon ON SITE ... I believe they might do nails as well but not sure... but this is SO convenient for those that don't drive and don't want to hassle with booking the resident shuttle LOVE LOVE This! & it's right off the entry way so it has a nice window view to the street 1. c. - Addtl - shuttle! The resident shuttle can be booked to take vehicle-less residents to their doctors appointments, or any other places within a 5 mile radius that they need to go! They typically have a weekly grocery trip on the activities calendar as well, so there's a pre-planned trip that everyone can go on for any grocery needs. 2. The facitity itself - always clean, very beautifully decorated, love the small touches of real flowers on the lunch tables when they have them as well as holiday decor, little snack and treats in the lounging area with some fresh water, apples and cookies, great layout of the facility, good location with a decent flat walkway right out front that residents can go for easy walks. Elavators with key required access to go to up resident floors. Location is RIGHT down the street from Overlake hospital, which is convenient, we did have to go there one evening when gma was having dizziness and vomiting and it only took a few minutes to get there. VERY convenient for healthcare reasons. 2. a Rooms - rooms are somewhat small but are perfect size for one or two people that are mostly going to be out and about in the facility the majority of the day. Each room has decent views so that is very nice (we looked at several different options of rooms before choosing). The bathrooms are large and perfect for safety for the age range of target residents. Linens and house keeping are provided once a week!!! Yay!!! 3. Care & safety - The assisted staff bring meds in the AM and they do nightly safety check rounds, call button lanyard for each resident and emergency safety pulls in each restroom in the facility and in each private resident restroom. RN on staff with 24/7 staff on site who can call the on-call RN if needed. Concierge staffed desk during the open hours of the facility, which is so nice there's always someone monitoring who is coming in, check in required with name badge. Resident key required for elavators up to floors! 4. Food & dining - the food is excellent and a well thought out rotating menu. Some of the same, regular items available, but always a new highlighted daily menu with new and exciting items. The food is clearly quality and cooked well, they didn't hire just anyone, the chef is a real chef! The dining room is open access all day from AM until dinner time, I think they close up at 6pm. 5. Staff - how the facility chooses their staff and what type of staff they have on site says a lot. All the staff during my visit seems welcoming, pleasant, smiling, helpful and overall enjoyed being at their jobs. The long term care sector can be one that is overlooked and underserved and we were not going to choose a place that hires people that don't want to be at their jobs because caring for loved ones is a very important role and this was a huge factor for us as well. 6. Price - price is expensive but honestly is similar to other facilities yet far exceeds in value above and beyond the others that we looked at. We visited this place about a year prior to moving Gma in, they allowed us to come for a complementary lunch and activity to get a feel and be shown around and all that. Mom and I visited, did the tour and looked at rooms and a later date I brought Gma for lunch and an activity. I was very pleased with the experience and recently visited Gma in Oct of 2025, a few months after she moved in, for about a week and a half. The experience was nothing less than the prior visit! A+++ would HIGHLY recommend!

I would not recommend this assisted living community to anyone seeking quality care or…read moreprofessionalism. Communication is consistently poor, and concerns are routinely dismissed rather than addressed. The facility itself is run-down, offers virtually no amenities, and provides little to no meaningful or consistent activities for residents. Morale among staff is visibly low, which is not surprising given the extreme staff turnover--faces change so often it's impossible to know who is responsible for care at any given time. This lack of continuity directly affects the quality and consistency of care residents receive. Dining options are another major disappointment. When food is edible, the best description would be subpar cafeteria-style meals, far below what should be expected for the cost of assisted living. The most troubling issue, however, is being charged for care that is not being provided. Safety checks are billed every two hours, yet during visits lasting 4-6 hours, no staff members come to check on my mother. When asked directly, my mother--who does NOT have dementia--confirms that no one checks on her every two hours. When this is brought to staff or "management," the response is simply that someone signed off on it, so it must have happened. There is no investigation, accountability, or concern--just continued billing. As for management, I use that term loosely. From top to bottom, no one has demonstrated professionalism, accountability, or leadership. Concerns are deflected, documentation is treated as fact over lived reality, and families are left feeling ignored and frustrated. This community charges premium rates while delivering substandard care, poor oversight, and an overall disappointing experience. Families deserve transparency, dignity, and reliable care for their loved ones--none of which are present here.
