Restaurants and attractions at Star City seem almost as if they change by the week and whenever I visit, there's never a shortage of things to enjoy. On my most recent visit, I stumbled across this indoor mini golf course and decided to check it out.
For £5 each (cheaper than a cinema ticket!), visitors can take on their choice of two full, 18 hole courses: one suited best to families with children and the other featuring a series of challenging and mind-bending set pieces. The theming inside is top notch, with false palm trees, waterfalls, caves, caverns, bamboo huts and all sorts, offering an excellent atmosphere, likely to stick with you for a good while after leaving. Arrangements can be made for children's parties and private games, and there is a bar offering soft drinks and coffees. My only real bugbear with the place would be the temperature inside; it's boiling hot and this can get very uncomfortable once you've been playing for a while, especially on busy Saturday afternoons when there's already a lack of oxygen. read more
