Great idea although poor organisation. There is no good parking and the place is often overcrowded with poor staff

One of the worst experiences I have ever had here. I been he previously and my experience was fine…read morebut this time was the worst. At the start it was fine. Entered the park with ease and went on the wave and was really fun and enjoyable. The I went on the swing again fun and enjoyable. But now I waited for the accelerator and there was a technical issue which forced us to exit the ride. Then we went to the gold rush and waited there for at least 2 1/2hr and there was also a technical issue multiple times and is making us spend all of our time on this ride and has made this 1 of the worst experience I have ever had a Drayton manor.

I went here on a school trip yesterday. I was disappointed. Although the food and coasters were…read moregood, the queues were horrible, first off the queue for the wave WAS like a human wave because of people cutting into the line. I'm the smallest person in my group so this was a very big problem, at some points in the queue I could hardly breathe because of many people pushing around in the queue and we ended up waiting 2-3 hours stuck like that. Secondly it felt like all of the staff were mad at something and at some points weren't even doing their job. I'm a big fan of the chips, but not a big fan of the wasps there, they were constantly swarming my can of Pepsi that I brought. Thirdly, HORRIBLE prices, one single portion of chips was £4.50 one single, small bottle of Oasis was £3.50! I had to swipe my card without looking both times. Also the queue for accelerator was the same as the queue for the wave, I was pushed from the inside of the line to the outside of the line in seconds. again probably from people pushing in which the staff couldn't care enough to deal with. Both of these coasters were amazing but the queues just ruined the experience. Please improve the staff and please try to fix the line cutting problem so people can have a better experience next time.

This place has the usual cure and cuddly superstars. There are plenty of ducks, chickens, goats,…read moreetc. Go at the right time of year and you'll see chicks and lambs and the children can hold the fluffy yellow chicks or feed the lambs if they want. There are also pigs, the odd cow and horse too. All of the animals are pretty much under shelter too do it makes it a good place to go even in rainy weather. The playgrounds are really rather good. The thing that all children and adults alike seem to enjoy hugely is the giant inflatable pillow. It is what it says, but is great fun. There's also an indoor play area which caters really well for younger children too. You can take a picnic, but there is a restaurant which sells kids lunch boxes. You can also buy animal food on entry so that you can feed the animals as you go round. It's not a cheap pace to go, but for a day out I think it's pretty good value for money.

A lovely day out - even in the middle of winter. Ash End presents the usual petting opportunities…read morewith horses, lambs, cows, goats, rabbits etc,. but you also get lots of input from the staff and its really informative. Its a beautiful working farm set on the outskirts of Tamworth with lots of beautiful scenery available nearby. I found it to be well laid out generally and easy to get round even with a buggy. Besides the main area housing the animals there is an indoor play area featuring toy tractors etc,. (for under 5s only I believe), an outdoor park facility (think traditional wood), plenty of grass and seating for pinics, a fab gift shop, and a decent restaurant (with fresh farm produce for sale). Parties are available with various options including a tour, hot or cols meal and playtime on the equipment. They also do craft based parties for older kids, and a 'star in your own play' option for any budding 'luvvies'. My son has been to a few of these parties over the years and they have always been well-organised and the grub was spot on. They eat in a beautiful converted barn that is decorated for the paty child. Its probably I would say got a cut off age of about 6 though, unless your child is particularly into animals specifically. We have attended other events here, they do try and do seasonal stuff - like egg hunts at Easter, and a nativity tour at Christmas - you get the idea. I would imagine this would make a good school trip location too - as there are many interactive and educational aspects. The only one issue ever I have encountered here is with parking - when there are a couple of parties on they can get very short of space.

Really was not sure how to categorise - as this is not a music venue as such. Its one of those…read morelocal historical buildings that has thankfully been saved for future generations - and is used for many many events. Its a grade 2 listed building and victorian. Over the years I have watched allsorts of 'acts' here from comedians,, to bands, to pantomime and even a reknowned medium. I am sure there are many mildly famous folk who have trodden these boards over the years - but it does tend to be utilised more often than not for amateur and 'home grown' events. I am fond of this beautiful old building as it brings back happy memories of dancing competitions when I was but a girl, and our dancing school also held its annual show here ( see more uses). But I think anyone would say the place has character. The woodenstage is large enough for most purposes, with gorgeous red velvet curtains, and there is plenty of tiered seating. The back stage area is very good, with a cellar space that can be utilised as a secondary changing area too (again happy memories of tap shoes and leotards - sigh). Also there is a bar area which can be hired for events and a small 'refectory' style space to serve up refreshments. In terms of 'music' events I believe this is more suited to cabaret stle seated performances than live Rock bands and mosh pits - but that is my opinion alone. I genuinely applaud the local council for preserving this lovely piece of our heritage and I hope they continue to do so for many many more generations to come. I have just checked the stats and for those interested it seats 349 people and the stage is 'Proscenium Arch' in style 9means nothing to me sorry!).
