Completely misdiagnosed me, sent me with medicine that made my condition worse and landed me in the hospital literally 6 hours after I left their "care" .... spent $318 on self pay and $80 for the meds they claimed I needed and my entire hospital visit was $520... if you're thinking about coming here just drive on by, the hospital is right up the street. read more

I called ahead of time at 1909 to see if this location can perform x-rays. They said yes. I understand they closed at 2000 so I rushed in. I came in at 1930 to have my toddlers wrist x-rayed. There was an issue locating my daughter's insurance. During this time a woman(now known as Melissa), came to the front and said in a mildly unpleasant tone "there's another one checking in?" The receptionist answered yes. Melissa was also there for the conversation that we couldn't locate the insurance for my daughter but she's on my insurance card and it's active. Then sighed under her breath annoyed, slightly rolled her eyes and walked to the back. We finally figured out the insurance, I was about to pay my co pay, literally card in hand, and the receptionist made a comment confused like it looks like she turned off the XR(or whatever computer program you use for it). Melissa then walks back out from the back(mind you it's 3 minutes until they close now) and states in a snarky tone "just so you're aware the doctor doesn't feel comfortable doing an x-ray on a child" I responded "when was this going to told to me?" Melissa then got defensive and said "how were we supposed to know." BUT REMEMBER - Melissa was in the front for the conversation about the insurance, knew why we were here and the fact it was for a toddler - we were the only people there so process of elimination is that the ONLY child in the waiting room, the one calling me mommy is the child that needs the XR. Things got very heated and Melissa then stated that I was just upset over the insurance issue. I was not upset over that. That was sorted out. She has a primary and a secondary insurance, I was not upset about that at all, her secondary insurance went through. I was upset that a facility didn't want to do their jobs. I again asked when was this going to be told to me because I had been there for almost 30 minutes and it seems like everyone just wants to go home. Even the receptionist had stated before Melissa walked up that she thinks the doctor turned the machine off(or whatever application they use on the computer). Melissa then stated, in a VERY rude and unprofessional manner that the doctor "could" see the child but won't perform the XR because it makes her uncomfortable. So that brings the grand question AdventHealth - did your employees just not want to treat my daughter so they can go home or do you have a provider working who doesn't feel comfortable working with children? Either way, this issue needs to be addressed. Also, this brings a bigger question. How is a doctor allowed to be employed at an urgent care who is supposed to also treat children not feel comfortable doing an XR on a hand? Without even looking at the child? Just out right refusing? If the doctor had actually done their job, seen my daughter, looked at her hand, she would have seen that it's not like her hand was falling off. She fell on it wrong and I was paranoid that she fractured it because there's a weird bump on it. But I never got that far because everyone just wanted to go home. A doctor should not be working at an urgent care if they do not feel comfortable performing a simple x-ray on a child. It is 100% within their scope of practice. The only positive interaction was with both receptionist. They were fantastic. Give them a raise. read more

Called Humana to find dr. office that accepted insurance plan. Advent accepted plan . I review websit, they were excepting new patients. We called on Nov 30 and were given an appointment for Dec 4th at 9:00 am. I received new patient packet,filled out forms and sent it in. I received appointment confirmation and told them I'd be there At 8:45am received call from Dr office that Dr was not excepting new patients So after setting appointment, verifying my insurance , accepting my patient form They inform me Dr Gonsalves is not excepting new patients. read more

Worst ER I have ever been in. After a 13 hour wait I left without being seen. No one cared. Staff over worked and cannot see the patients who were waiting There was dried blood on the chair and floor and was never cleaned up even after I reported it to staff. Don't even bother to schedule an appointment! My appointment was scheduled for 11:30. I was finally taken onto a room after being weighed and BP taken. Then once in the room,I waited another 25 minutes to see the PA, Stephanie. Stephanie spent less than 3 minutes with me, didn't even touch me and diagnosed me with a pulled muscle. I really don't feel that she even listened to me. She came into the room with a preconceived idea about what my issue was. Any stranger off the street could have done the little that she did. Outside of the one hour wait time which I felt to be a bit long for a walk-in center, I think this place did a wonderful job of attending to my needs. The staff was friendly and efficient. I was being seen for an inner ear infection. Everyone at this location was kind of helpful. I have to give a special shout out to Rhonda Shawn . I got Tassels , Serenity and Jessica! Bonus they offered my meds to me at a reasonable price and I didn't have to go to the pharmacy! read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, COMMUNICATION and PATIENT CARE at Ormond Beach Office. Went for a Covid test, They provided no updates.. My doctor had to fax the script for me to get the test. You have to fax to a number in orlando and are not provided any confirmation of the site getting the fax. Went to the site the next and waited for someone to come to the car and help me..NO ONE CAME I had to get out of my car and they said they did not have the fax so I had my doctor refax. After waiting 45 mins I had to get out of my car again and they still said they did not have the fax so I emailed it and they still say they did not have the script. I had the script in my hand and I was very sick and they still refused to help me! ADVENTHEALTH CENTRA CARE ORMOND IS TERRIBLE! UPDATE.. Originally I rated AdventHealth as a ONE STAR due to the above issues I had HOWEVER.. Today (the day after our issue) Mr. Bull and Ormond Centra Care fixed all issues and I appreciate it very much! 100%.. I am Black AA and witnesses a white person in front of me who was told the opposite and allowed to be tested. This place racially profiles who they want to test and lies. After waiting almost 8 Hours in the ER , I decided to leave because I have to Drive myself Home and at 79 is hard to see the dark Roads at 1:30 am. Some Patients wait from 10 to 16 Hours and I have to Praise de Nurses that they do their Jobs, you don't see a Doctor and I just wonder, where are they? Went in to this care center for a covid19 test. After more than a week still no results. On of the largest hospitals in the area should not offer this service if they can not run the tests. As a first responder you would think that getting me back to work to save lives would matter to them. There is absolutely no one to contact to trace the results. I made an appointment online for a Covid test. I live in Palm Coast. Ormond was the only office that had availability. I get there and check in on my phone. I go inside and still wait in line. The ladies behind the desk did acknowledge me. I asked them if I needed to still stand in line if I checked in on my phone. They ask me my name and then tell me that they don't take my insurance, and it's going to be $209 and change for them to test me! WHAT THE HELL? I thought the tests were free? I know people who didn't have insurance who got tested at a Centra Care office. This is despicable. read more

The place was brand new, everyone was friendly and helpful. They even called to check in a few days later and see if I was improving from my bronchitis. Highly recommend! read more

The have the dumbest doctors here who don't even know proper protocol on addressing issues. They told me they don't know the difference between a spider bite and MRSA because there's no way to tell. So they're blindly going to give any antibiotic even if it isn't the right one!!! Are u kidding?!!! If you would swab it, like most normal doctors would do, you definitely would know what it is. I went here for care after a fall that I took while out running on Sunday, February 21. The care that I received was given with skill and compassion. It was very clear that the staff worked together as a team, one just as capable as the other. The young lady at the front desk never even hesitated to show me right in as soon as she saw what had happened to my face. The facility was clean and I felt safe and comfortable. Went in today for a covid testing appointment. Before i even got in the door, i was greeted by a very rude security guard who put his finger in my face to wait. Then he put so much sanitizer on my hands, it dripped all over the place. I was told over the phone before i drove 30 mins that the test would be free and i would not have to pay anything. That was a lie, as im being billed $120 for the visit. The front desk was not very pleasant. I understand we are all stressed and under pressure but I am very sick of everyone using that as an excuse to treat others however they want. As i was sitting in the waiting area for my appointment, I overheard some of the security gaurd's conversation with the females in the room. He cursed multiple times and was not professional at all. I was very uncomfortable waiting with him present, aren't we supposed to feel safe around security guards? I finally get called back by another unpleasant staff member, she weighs me. I ask her how much I weigh since its in kg and I assume she could easily tell me. Her response was "I don't know, it's in kg and i don't know what that is." As a nurse, isn't that required? It was not a pleasant visit for me and it will be the last time I ever go back. I left feeling very uneasy and upset with how I was treated. I look very young for my age so I'm not sure if they were judging me on my looks or what. But that's not how you treat anyone. Get a new security guard that doesn't make other people feel uncomfortable for starters. And don't tell patients it's a free visit then charge them $120 after they drove 30 mins. So after getting treated like garbage all morning, i still have to deal with $120 bill. Save your time and money and do not go here. read more

I'm not a "frequent flyer" clinic user so perhaps my idea of what constitutes good service is skewed. That being said, my visit there did not result in actual care. The receptionist, the nursing aid, the XRay technician were all friendly. But when the attending care giver isn't a doctor, but an APRN who stands four feet away from you, with arms folded, never approaching to see what I was talking about shows just how much she cares that you are in pain. I had fallen on my knees, twisted both ankles and the pain was bad, swelling and bruises very evident. She ordered XRays! I walked in! How did she think I had anything broken. I was concerned about the swelling. I was told well no broken bones so take Tylenol and ice the areas. After 48 hours use heat. 12 days later the swelling is most all gone, but the pain and bruising is still present. So I'm going to say this, I was not happy with the treatment. Not sure why the APRN is in the business of medicine. I just hope I never have to return there. I'm sure not all the staff there are like the one I saw. I've heard very good reports from others. However my review is for what I witnessed. The other staff members there were excellent. read more

took someone to get a covid test, waited at the door for 20 minutes while 2 receptions blatantly ignored a line of people at the door. after taking and helping multiple callers, the receptionist then asked everyone at once if they had an appointment or not. after she did not listen to our response but acknowledged everyone else's, she rudely told us that they were at full capacity and that we would have to make an appointment. when my friend had politely corrected her that she has had a appointment for today set for 5 days now, both receptionists went silent and gave us dirty looks and proceeded to talk to each other about us while snickering and gossiping loudly by their printer. i wanted to film it because they were so blatantly rude, worst service ever. would've left on the spot after that encounter, but there are no other clinics with appointments sooner than 2 weeks from now, and my friend is very ill. the stress and bull**** these BULLIES put us through was absolutely ridiculous. will not be returning. also, if either of you "ladies" are reading this, i hope you understand that your childish behavior in a professional workplace will have repercussions.
