Now Jomar sends me a text that I was going to get $40 dollars back because of the truck wasn't as expensive as thought. Great well no $40! Had to argue about the table top glass. I had to do all of the running around for him. To get the glass table repaired. $178. So, when he found out the cost. The $40 that was promised was gone off the table. Nope! He lied about it because of the broken glass replacement. You cannot trust him with your own belongings or his word. Never again, subpar service, broken promises and broken belongings.

But the four guys who loaded us up did a great job and got it all done on time, despite some threatening weather on Vail Pass. (They clearly know how to read the forecast and time the drive.) Everything happened right on schedule, and now that I have unpacked all the boxes, I can testify that nothing got damaged. Because I was so out of it, a few things got moved that needed to stay at the old house (I wasn't well enough to stay ahead of the packing), but not too much. They were supoosed to meet us at 9am. They did call to say they were running behind and would be there at 9:45. They didn't show up until 10:30. Then there was 5 guys instead of the 4 I had asked for. Then we were told because we were moving out of state we would have to pay cash. The owner did say he was only going to charge $100 for just him but we still had to pay the full amount for the other 4 guys in cash on a Sunday! Way to not communicate! Way to sneak in extra charges! I would find other help if I had to do it again!

The trucks are clean but old. The men moving us were clean but not in uniforms nor did they have name tags identifying themselves. I was not happy regarding the quote we received which was $1300 and the ending bill was $2337. That is an extreme difference. Not only that but because the job was mistakenly estimated poorly they were not able to finish our move on the start date. If we would have had to move out as pre-determined by a house closing which was supposed to be at 7 pm on the day we moved, we would not have made it. They had to come back the next day late in the afternoon and bring another load. This made me extremely uncomfortable because they wanted to take out truck which still had our belongings in it to another location. After, negotiating this, they left the truck at our home. We were then told we could not pay with a credit card and were asked to pay cash or check. They said they would charge me for the 3% credit card fee. Well, this is an illegal practice according to all credit card purchases. They stated it was written into the small print on our quote. When we looked at the quote, it wasn't listed anywhere that they did not take credit cards for payment. Then they tried to tell us it was verbally stated and I can assure you that if it was, I would not have hired them. I felt like we were told one thing and then charged another. I did add one pick up address that was mentioned early on in our negotiating and was prepared to pay the difference for the added pick up but it wasn't $1000 difference. They did a poor job estimating the job and the final bill was extremely higher than I was planning on. This is a huge upset when you are moving and then told you will have to pay cash! I am also not sure what their insurance is like if we would have had damages. I wouldn't suggest that you don't hire them, but I would be absolutely certain you don't get up charged. I have moved many many times from coast to coast with moving companies and I have NEVER been up charged.,

They lost items, DROPPED expensive pieces of furniture, did not have or provide covers for mattresses, bounced our washing machine down the stairs, etc., etc., etc. Then, they would not respond to calls, emails, or certified mail. They told us that our belongings would be covered for full value, but at the end of the day reneged on that, saying that the document that was signed on a tablet, in the sun, after the move, stated differently. They said they would replace the missing glass shelving for one of the cabinets, but did not, and now will not pay for them. They would not pay for the furniture repair individual to look at the amount of damage and prepare an estimate, then negotiated with him after he did the work, saying it was too much. How did they have a clue how much effort it was going to take? We contacted their corporate office, and while understanding, they offered no help other than say that the manager of the Grand Junction franchise, Chad Covell, would be contacting us. When he finally did respond, his one sentence reply was: "Repairs have been made and no further action will be taken on this claim." End of story.... The prospect of moving an entire business, with a kitchen was super overwhelming. Duke and his team made the whole process so much easier for me. We were bringing over some used furniture, and piecing it together with new furniture and they coordinated everything with the furniture company so that it was as easy as possible on us. They provided us with these amazing totes on wheels to use instead of boxes. If you can use the totes I highly recommend it! The best part though was moving day. The staff that showed up was so polite, and so nice and really took care with our items. I thought for sure it would take them at least two days to get everything moved but they were done in about 3/4 of a day. Overall, they made the experience of moving much easier. ( I had a 2 part move for clarification). They sent me one quote, that stated both my pick up date and second delivery date. I was lead to believe this was my full estimate. Moving day came for part 1, guys were nice but worried me with how rough they were with everything. I had to open a box to make sure bowls weren't broken. Now to the payment, I called to make my payment only to be told I was paying more then I had expected based on my single quote. They proceeded to tell me that it was only for the first part of the move and I would be paying similar amount for my second move. I never received 2 different quotes, let alone informed ahead of time it would be double the estimate. I chose mesa because of quality pricing. But they instead price incorrectly and lie to you. I expected the delivery in Tucson to be about 10 days. This was going into storage so that was ok with us. They had the load in Tucson the next morning. Ruben and Tony were great. They knew what was going into our storage and what was going into our pickup. They loaded it and helped us. Great team, great experience. Moving is one of the most stressful experiences in life, particularly interstate. We were stressing over this but they came through just as advertised and did a great job.

A few truckloads of items that Bailey's had marked for moving were left behind but were said to be our fault somehow?! Major inconvenience. I don't know how companies like Bailey's stay in business.
