After the exam, I was charged an additional $40 for "new imaging" instead of dilation. The doctor mentioned this technology but did not disclose that it would cost extra. That is not acceptable. Patients should be clearly informed of any additional charges before services are performed. When I raised the issue, staff did not provide a clear explanation or attempt to address the concern. This was not transparent and did not meet basic expectations for patient communication. I would not recommend this office based on this experience.

When I went in, I knew that my vision was bad and that I had an astigmatism. The exam went okay and Dr. Taylor told me he that he was going to have to order me a special lens for my left eye. He never mentioned that the special lens was going to be a toric lens. I have tried a toric lens three times and I do not like them. When I found out, I asked to be switched to a regular lens. Sansbury refused to write a new prescription without another exam. It was less than a week since I had my eyes examined. I was sent out with a lens I cannot wear and my eyesight in that eye is -11.50. In my opinion, they did not care that I cannot see without a lens in that eye. That was the worst customer service I have ever had at a medical facility. I will not return and I advise anyone considering Sansbury to be very wary.

Dr. Ingram was very quick in his evaluation of my eye prescription. He asked approximately 2-3 questions only for each eye. I mentioned at that time that with the prescription that he came up with, I could not read with my left eye beyond the biggest possible size letters, while with my right eye I could see easily the tiniest setting! But Dr. Ingram only said that this happened because of the different axis without rechecking if the prescription that he came up with was correct. Anyways I used the prescription of Dr. Ingram and bought glasses accordingly. One month later I decided that I will get a second eye prescription to see if it agrees with the eye prescription that I got from Dr. Ingram. Surprise! The prescription is different! Unfortunately, I already wasted the money to buy glasses according to the prescription of Dr. Ingram.
