She…read morehas formed a relationship with my family and really cares about how we're doing and what we're up to. Her practice is run out of a renovated house, which adds to the intimacy of the experience. It's usually just her and her receptionist working at any time, so everything is really personal. She knows what she's doing, but everything seems a little old fashioned and the equipment obsolete, especially compared to the doctor I see in Austin. She has fewer instruments and limits exams to only the eye chart and a flashlight. She doesn't have the new retinal imaging system, so you pretty much have to have your eyes dilated for you to get them really checked, but that's understandable since the former method has got to be crazy expensive. That brings me to the next topic: price. Dr. Oakley is much cheaper than the other doctor I mentioned. I'd say the price difference is appropriate for the services offered, and she's just a great person to get to know. The eyeglass selection is OK, but you're not going to find anything unique or cool here. She's not really in the business of selling glasses, which can be a plus if you're trying to avoid salespeople. She may not have the newest machines, or biggest selection of glasses or contacts, but she's a smart cookie and the nicest doctor around. She's definitely a good choice for an everyday optometrist, especially for families. This nice big waiting room should have this access for those of us waiting. There are boxes all over the hallway by the elevators. Rarely is someone sitting at the front desk. I wasn't allowed back with my husband for pre-op and didn't get to speak with the doctor. When I was finally let back, the nurse that came in didn't even know my husband had already spoken to the dr. There are no tissue boxes anywhere, but they made sure to put red white and blue decor EVERYWHERE. Get this place in better shape! Editing in real time: not one person who works here told us the dr would call my personal cell phone with an update. Given the level of spam we all have to deal with these days, a heads up would've been nice so that I would've answered an unknown caller. So once again, I didn't get to speak to the doctor.

I've had experience with other rehabs that did very little and days would go by between therapy . But Pam did consistent, thorough physical therapy. It really enabled my sister to get in and back home fairly quickly. And all the people there really cared!
