Great service, professional, and comparable cost. I received several quotes and all three companies estimate was within $20 of each other. I went with Advanced Tree Service based on their availability and was not disappointed. Although they are very busy, they have consistently been on time and completed the jobs on schedule. At the completion of each day, they cleaned up the work area in manner that would allow children to play without injuring themselves. At the completion of the job, they conducted a thorough cleanup of the work area. They finalized the job with preventive sampling growth and we are pleased to say, no new growth. Very disappointed! I scheduled Advanced Tree Service to come out to do an estimate on a job (one tree and a few stump removals), we liked their prices, honesty, and promptness to the estimate. It all changed after that... They stated during the estimate they would call us back to get us scheduled and never did. We ended up calling back and scheduled an appointment which was about 3-4 weeks out. Our appointment was slated to be in the afternoon on 16 August. My husband took the day off of work to be home to meet the workers. Here it is quickly approaching 2:00 and nobody has yet showed up nor did anybody call to give a status, apologize for tardiness....nothing. I proceeded to call to get an update and the lady I spoke with had no clue as to what was going on. We hung up so she could call the owner to get an update. A few minutes later, she called back and stated that there was a hand injury of one of the employees during the first job and that it was taking longer than anticipated (completely understandable). However, she then went on to say that nobody would be coming out to my house! No offer to reschedule, nothing. Here we are under the impression for the past month or so, we would finally be able to get some yard work accomplished and beautify our property to be shot down with only an "I am sorry" from the secretary. The owner didn't even have the audacity to phone his apologies to try to make it right. Bad business. I originally chose this company after conducting thorough research, referrals from neighbors and close friends whom I trust completely, and they are local. To be this disrespected is completely uncalled for. I will be taking my business elsewhere and will never refer this company to anybody!! read more

I would not recommend this company. They removed major limbs from our tree without consulting us. We had discussed what we wanted done and why at the time of the estimate and then again with their team when they arrived. Upon completion of the job, two large limbs had been removed that we had not discussed and that we did not want removed. These limbs provided needed shade to many plants and the house, while also providing some privacy between the front of the house and the street. They should not have cut these limbs without talking with us first. We were home the entire time and checked with the workers regularly, so they could have easily asked. These guys are awesome. We just moved into a rental house with a bunch of mature (read: ginormous) trees on the property. A couple of smaller branches came down during blustery days this spring, and when we noticed there was a dead limb positioned above a power line and the roof, we figured it was time to call the landlord. The *first* contractor he found to take care of the problem was...not good. The guy said he'd come by on a certain day, but didn't give me a time, so I stayed home and waited. No show. He then called me when my husband and I were at a restaurant at about 7:00 that evening, leaving a message that he was "at the house and trying to figure out how to get into the back yard to get a look at the tree." Uhhh...no. We played phone tag that evening until I was able to describe the problem to him, and he let me know that he couldn't do the job because "there was nowhere to park the truck close enough" and he "didn't have a climber." Take two: the landlord then found Advanced Tree Service on Angie's List. They got someone out to give me an estimate right away, and the guy they sent was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly (thanks, Seth!). He gave me an itemized quote for not just the original problem, but for some potential other safety and tree health issues as well. And it wasn't a creepy up-sell attempt; it was much more of a "doing this one isn't a priority, but you might consider getting it done in the near future," and then he explained why. When the landlord decided what he wanted done, we scheduled an appointment (they are busy, which is a good sign, but they found an opening for us earlier than expected). The weather was crazy that week, which put them way behind schedule, so they called the night before to notify us they'd have to postpone our work. But it was a quick reschedule -- they were here the next business day, in the morning, and completed the limb removal quickly and safely. Haul-away is included in the price, and they even removed an extra branch for us, for free. And again, they were professional, knowledgeable and personable. I'm definitely keeping their business card, and would recommend them highly to anyone in the Colorado Springs area. Thanks again, guys! read more
