With my son, some of his cavities aren't new...they have been there at least 9 months. Chop pediatricians are the employee of Chop so it doesn't matter how many patients they have and they will make the same amount of money. His office asked for payment via text message without an itemized bill. He failed to send my son's x-rays, as promised. Myriad attempts to reach an understanding have been unsuccessful and I have relayed our concerns about his impropriety to the Pennsylvania Department of Dentistry. There are undoubtedly great dentists in the area, this guy is clearly not one of them. You can have a slick website, fancy equipment, and the right professional accreditations - but there's something to be said for integrity and a sense of right and wrong. But when we came for another appointment, we were told they could do the sealant and most insurances would cover this as this comes under preventive care. This wasn't the case though and I feel mislead by the staff. I feel I was intentionally misled to get the sealants done. I had specifically raised the concern with the staff just before the sealant was applied that i am afraid insurance will not cover this, but i was assured that this was preventive and should cover it. However when i go to the front desk, I hear a totally different tune that insurance usually does not cover this. I definitely think this is a scam to rip off $ from patients.

I got a second opinion at a better location which actually provided more options for my son than filling the chip with silver diamine. Despite me telling this location that I found another office, I keep receiving calls and texts saying that my son is due for an appointment. After my first visit I would never visit this office and advise other parents to find a better office.
