Had the septic person asked where we would like the clay, we would have directed him to an out of sight, far corner of the property. His response on the phone? "I am not a landscaper, I'm a septic guy." Hey, it doesn't take a landscaper to know that clay compacted by a back hoe on top of an existing lawn is a very bad idea. I certainly hope that the $4000 we paid resulted in what we needed for our septic system; it clearly resulted in what will likely be hundreds of dollars of lawn repair.
