This is the second time, since living in Ruidoso, NM that I have gotten caught with a full septic and my bathroom and shower back flowing. This time was on a Sunday and after a 1/2 hour of trying to figure out what I was going to do I decided to try to reach out to septic places near me. The first two did not answer their phones as I was sure they would not. BUT to my absolute surprise Mountain Top did. . When I explained what was happening he said he thought yes it was septic and looped in one of his guys to the phone call. Never did he treat me like it was a bother and how dare I call on a Sunday. When he looped one of his guys in, he happened to be shopping at Walmart, again it was a Sunday. But his guy was very upbeat and said he would check out, pick up some equipment, and head my way. This is true professionalism at its best. Emergencies don't know what day of the week it is but something like a backed up septic is not something that can hold on until Monday morning. I sure do appreciate 1: the phone call being answered and 2: the willingness to come over on a Sunday. These are the kind of people that you want to have do a job for you.

I hired John from Danold Plumbing to repair a pinhole leak in the copper water line feeding my…read moreirrigation system. While the leak appears to have been repaired, I was disappointed with both the billing and the overall customer service. I was charged for more than an hour because the technician had to leave to obtain a small copper fitting, even though he arrived with a large parts trailer. I do not believe I should have been billed for time spent retrieving a basic repair part that should have been readily available. I was also charged for 45 minutes of initial on-site time, despite being told by the office beforehand that only 15 minutes would be billed. When I questioned the charges and asked why it took so long to return, John responded, "You're entitled to your opinion," which I found dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. In addition, after the repair was completed, one of my irrigation sprinkler heads became stuck in the open position due to debris left in the system during the repair. This required additional cleanup and further reinforced my concerns about the quality of the work. For now, the leak appears to be holding, and I am intentionally leaving the area unfilled so I can monitor it for any future leaks. While I appreciate that the leak itself seems to have been repaired, the unexpected charges, unprofessional customer service, and the additional issue with the sprinkler head left me with a poor overall experience. Based on this experience, I would not choose this company again or recommend their services.
