I had encountered a con artist who had a reputation of cheating people and I now wasn't sure who to trust. It turned out they sold scooters and the entire process could not have been more wonderful. I was recovering from ill health, and they accommodated my circumstances very kindly. They brought a selection of scooters out to me, so I could try them and determine which suited my needs. Knowledgeable, forthright, kind, and generous are words I think exemplify how they run their company. They know a scooter means independence to me, and they worked to get one to me quickly. I truly felt it was important to them. I so appreciated the personal service, and I see this reflected in the warranties and service policies they offer as well. I now know that there are unsavoury characters in this field. It's why I think it's so important for people to know that Proactive is the direct opposite of that. It is run by people who truly care and want the best for you and will work with you to find the best solution. The shelves were stocked and we found everything we needed and then some. My only qualm would be with the staff who looked and acted like they wanted the hell out of there. I was issued the replacement…read moreby a very officious, argumentative woman who proceeded to roughly throw my carrying case onto a pile of boxes as she impolitely ordered me to sit down. After telling her that it had been a long, long wait for the replacement, she argued with me about the time line. Then went on to explain that Peak sleep bore no responsibility as they were not the manufacturer. I explained that I had purchased the machine from Peak sleep and that (although there had been a recall by Phillips), Peak Sleep ultimately is responsible. She argued that this is not the case, but that I needed to sign a release form absolving Peak Sleep of liability in the matter before I could leave with the replacement machine. To add insult, she asked me to fill out a review of the Peak sleep experience. If I gave a positive review, I would receive six of the smaller CPAP air filters. If you enjoy being treated like garbage and paying around double the price that you would pay on-line, then Peak Sleep clinic is for you.
