The one question he asked me was what did I want to achieve from the surgery. wow i was sold. I told him I would love to be able to play catch with my grandchildren. the doctor assured me this would be the result.To date I am unable to pick up and throw a ping pong ball more then a couple of feet without excruciating pain. After a year of therapy and visitations he recommended more cortisone treatment. A year of therapy and over $100000 in charges I get to watch my grandchildren play catch with my neighbors

I had to do X-rays then MRI to look into my knee further. I had the results posted to my NCH online file. I could not really understand what they were saying . Mrs. K. and I go to Dr. Jon and he flatly states I have a torn meniscus and arthritis in my knee. He said the arthritis was bad enough to warrant a knee replacement. Then we had a huge turn in treatment. He was going to give me a cortisone shot and inject gel into my knee and I should be good to go for 5 years. This is where Mrs. K. and the Dr had a "discussion". She wanted me to have a replacement now vs 5 years from now as I would recover faster now than later. At multiple times he used the term robotic knee replacement procedure. Which means a robot does the surgery and he monitors it. Much to Mrs. K's disagreement with the procedure I decided I would trust Dr. Jon. So far I have had both shots and rehabilitation. I am not pain free but I am way better than what I started with.

Their associate, podiatrist Eugene Batelli, performed two surgeries on me, left foot fusion and right ankle replacement. Both FAILED significantly so much so that I found need to be treated by an ORTHOPEDIC surgeon who has discovered broken metal and screws in my left foot and a fallen arch and my right foot ankle with a replacement dislodged along with severe damage to the supporting tendon. I have had corrective surgery on one foot. My point is: KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PODIATRIST WHO PERFORMS SURGERY (DPM) AND AN ORTHOPERIC SURGEON who is an MD. It can and was very misleading And I have suffered greatly because of this.

His staff worked with my insurance when they first denied coverage even though it was the last few days of the year and my family had more than met the deductible. The MRI was covered and revealed a 50% torn rotator cuff and Dr. Wallace suggested PRP (Plasma Rich Platelets). Blood is drawn from the patient and spun to produce PRP which contains a mixture of platelets, including cytokines and growth factors, and has anti-inflammatory properties which injected into an injury site can stimulate the healing process.
