Of course this had to happen late on a holiday weekend. I got a call from our office saying the…read moretoilets were backing up. We had already scheduled everyone to go home early, but we still had to deal with the issue. This has happened before, and we own a drain snake. A couple of our technicians grabbed the snake and ran it through the clean-out. But Murphy's Law kicked in, and this time the clog wouldn't budge. After an exhausting effort--and now two hours past our "go home early" time--our techs called and said it was a "No Go." I called a couple of drain services to get a ballpark estimate (we've had a bad experience before--see my 1-star review on Yelp). Both companies told me they couldn't give a price until they saw it. Then I called DrainHelp and spoke with Ali. I asked for the cost, and he clearly explained the pricing for both snaking and hydro-jetting. I told him I'd call him back after checking in with our techs one more time. Five minutes later, he called me back and said he was already en route and would arrive in about 20 minutes if we still needed him--otherwise he would head back to the shop. I told him to come to the office. He arrived 10 minutes later, took one look at the issue, and had it unclogged in under five minutes. Ali was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. I highly recommend him and DrainHelp for your drain needs. .

This company was unprofessional from the moment they showed up. The real issue, though, was the owner's behavior. He sent an invoice with a clear due date, then instantly started harassing me for payment before the due date even came. He became hostile, confrontational, and started shouting through text messages. It was aggressive, uncomfortable, and wildly unprofessional. The actual work was fine, but the way this company communicates is chaotic, disrespectful, and completely out of line. I genuinely regret hiring them. There are plenty of skilled plumbers in San Diego... save yourself the stress and choose literally anyone else. In response to your words below: I'm genuinely surprised by this response, especially considering it proves exactly why my experience was so stressful. For clarity: 1. I was given multiple different prices and the scope of work was changed several times -- all documented in text. 2. Your tech arrived late and did not communicate professionally. 3. You sent me an invoice with a clearly stated due date and then began demanding immediate payment only minutes later, followed by insults and hostile messages. 4. I never "deducted" anything. I simply questioned the sudden price changes, which any customer would do. 5. Calling customers names when they ask questions is not "honest plumbing"-- it's unprofessional. The screenshots you included unfortunately reinforce my review. I paid according to the terms you yourself wrote, and your hostility afterward speaks for itself. I stand by my review and wish you the best, but I will not be using your services again.

I had a gas line leak. Anderson Plumbing charged me $1300 to diagnose the problem and then quoted…read moreme $20,000 to $30,000 to replace all the piping under my house. I called Real Deal, Jonathan very quickly went under the house and told me what I suspected, that there as only a few feet of old pipe and all the rest had already been replaced in an extensive remodel that we had done several years ago. He replaced all of the old pipe with new in one day for $1800. Very happy with Jonathan and Real Deal.

Worst experience ever…read more We were connected to Real Deal Plumbing through my home warranty for a water leak from the ceiling. It was a place where we had constant problems for years, so the ceiling was already open. Robert seemed unhappy to explain or answer questions about fixing the pipe, but he was very enthusiastic about explaining how water damage my house, and that we need to call this other cleanup business to prevent further mold damage. I was confused and unaware that he was calling a different business, since he called that business a water cleanup team, so I thought they were also a team from Real Deal Plumbing. All I wanted for the day was to use hot water again without flooding the house, but Robert and the guy from the cleanup business started to convince me to get the dry service as well. They said Robert would report every issue as new, so the home insurance would cover everything, even if there was mold damage from past leaks. They again seemed very unhappy to answer any questions that I asked about the insurance and pushed my mom to make a contract, repeating and emphasizing that the insurance would cover everything and that we had nothing to worry about. Later in the day, we read many negative reviews about the water cleanup business, about false claims and overcharging the insurance. I am sure that I would not have called this business on my own, even if I did agree on the need for a drying service. Robert introduced the business to me, brought that person home, and was involved in their plan, so I think it is fair for me to write about it here. Nothing was fixed by the end of the day, and we spent hours listening to their unethical plans to charge the insurance. Shameful unprofessionalism. I really hope this was the end of the story. I got a call from Robert the next morning, and he told me that I would have to pay an extra $250 as the home warranty had decided to only partially cover the case. This was not my first time with the same leak issue, and this had never happened before. I was really wondering why and which part of my case was not covered. Robert suddenly changed his words and said he negotiated the fee to around $108 when I told him I would check with the insurance. Then he hung up on me when I asked for details and whether he would be coming if I agreed to pay the fee. I called the insurance company, and they confirmed that I would have to pay more, but the fee was $124.5, which is half of what Robert originally told me. I called Real Deal Plumbing again to ask about the fee, and the representative said it was the result of negotiations with the insurance company. Does this mean the negotiation happened at the moment I said I would check with the insurance? If Robert had been emailing for negotiation for some time before, I think there was enough time for him to explain. Real Deal Plumbing then told me I was rude for asking questions about where the original uncovered fee came from and the mismatch of the insurance price and the "negotiated" price, and refused to fix my ceiling. I have the right to ask questions about the money that I am paying, yet they avoided giving a clear explanation and said what the issue was if the second price they gave me was cheaper than the insurance. Real Deal Plumbing claimed I was rude and hostile, but I have never spoken to a service representative who was more rude, emotional, disrespectful, and unhelpful than the one from Real Deal Plumbing. I have lost all trust in this business. I would recommend everyone to stay away. +Update Now they are lying that the customer was making racial comments to their technician. I don't understand how there is a business that lies that the customer is a racist for leaving a negative review. Now there is another reason to avoid this business. This comment posted on my review is proof of their unprofessionalism and hostility towards a customer who chose not to join their scamming plan. You had enough time to explain that you needed time to get things approved instead of spending hours pushing my mom to sign a contract. We call repetitively asking to sign a contract without a clear, thorough explanation "forcing to sign a contract", especially if the individual has a limited English proficiency. If you had such photo and video evidence of water damage, why didn't your technician show it to us? Because you thought the customers would not understand? You did not spend time for my family. You spent time for yourself to get a chance to lie to my insurance company. Now here they are harassing their customer because they couldn't stop a customer from writing a negative review for what they have done. What honesty, what integrity.
