My water heater corroded and was leaking out the bottom. It was still under warranty, but when I called the plumbing company who installed it (Anderson PHA) they sent out a plumber who quoted me WAY too much to replace it. I called the manufacturer on the warranty (Rheem) and they referred me to Advanced Plumbology. The office staff was friendly and very helpful. Anthony, the technician they sent, went above and beyond to replace our water heater. It wasn't easy: we needed to return the defective water heater to the place where it was purchased, and Rheem had told me it was from Home Depot. Anthony and I went to Home Depot but they couldn't approve the return because Rheem had neglected to mention it was purchased by Anderson PHA from Home Depot PRO. The nearest Home Depot Pro is in San Bernardino, and Rheem suggested shipping it there, leaving me without a hot water heater for at least 5 days. Anthony refused to accept that, and did an excellent job of navigating the issues of trying to get the return approved. His manager worked with a local plumbing supply company to accept the old unit in exchange for a new one. Advanced Plumbology made a point to send Anthony to get it and replace my water heater that day. All I had to pay was parts and labor, and they were very reasonable. I was so impressed that Anthony persisted and spent his entire day resolving my situation that day and making sure I got the same level of quality in the replacement unit. I'll definitely go back to Advanced Technology for my future plumbing needs because they demonstrated integrity, efficiency, and professionalism. read more

I hired advanced plumbology to install a bathtub and replace a toilet shut-off valve, and William came out. At one point he went and turned on the main water supply, but he had left the toilet shut-off valve fully open. This is in a condo and the main water shut-off is on another floor, and William didn't come back until around 5 mins later. Luckily I was around and could turn the valve off. When William came back his reaction was "oh shoot I forgot that" as if this happens every other month. Not even a thank you for saving his company thousands of dollars in water damage expenses. These guys have done very mediocre work the times I've hired them before, but flooding my bathroom was the last drop. These clowns are not coming back to my apartment. read more

If I could choose zero stars I would. This company was hired by the HOA where I live to repair plumbing lines broken by the tree trimmers they hired! They came out on 7/9 and supposedly did the repair, busted again 9 days later, came home to a notice on the eve of 7/18 "No water until the AM"! When they returned the next day and turned the water on, there was a terrible sound coming from my water heater. I called the manufacturer, couldn't help, out of warrenty, checked everywhere for leaks including garage and my guy was going to come over and check it since I had hot water and no leaks anywhere but then it stopped as did the water!! Clearly, the 2 issues were related. I called the HOA to get the name of the company they were using and, when they turned the water on again in the evening, my water heater started making that noise again. I called the company to ask them to see what was going on. Dude came up, walked to my bathroom door and said "You're unit is old and when the water gets turned off and on again sediment that has settled will swirl around making noise." This he pronounced standing at the doorway! I stated that this did not happen when they were messing with the water lines back on the 9th and asked how long the noise would continue since it had been over 2 hours in the morning! That triggered a response! He actually turned the handle on top of the water heater to off and the noise kept going to which he said "There must be water running nearby" and I responded that the unit next to mine was unoccupied and up for sale. We both walked the few feet down the hall, knocked and no answer. Then this guy gets on his cell phone and just walks away from me without saying a single word and he left!! For this "so called" service, they billed $115.00 to the HOA, $115.00 for THAT!! Sure the HOA already paid plenty for the water pipe repair that failed afetr 9 days only to be repeated again. HOA says they will not pay and have sent the bill to me. As a person of reasonable intelligence, I would never pay anyone $115.00 for what happened here, all related to having water turned off and on again multiple times to accommodate the plumbers need to return and refix a faulty repair!! And the person responsible for billing 'Crystal" actually scoffed when I question that ridiculous pricing and said "that was with the HOA discount!" UNBELIEVABLE!! BTW, someone had bought the unit nexy door and closed that day. The owner had stareted to fill her tub when the water went off and she left the unit all day. That explains the from noise my water heater adjacent to her bathroom as the tub was constantly filling and the overflow draining whenever the water was turned on! DO NOT EVER USE THESE GUYS!! read more

Horrible Company! I had my shower and bathtub spout fixed less than a year ago. I paid $650 for a Horrible plumbing job. They told me they garentee their work for a year. They spout makes a funny noise and runs while the shower is still on. Also, I am swimming on an inch of water that they "supposedly " cleaned the drain. The lady called me back and said that it is not covered. On top of that, the plumber stood me up on a separate issue that I planned a month in advance! They said they couldn't make the time allotted time and I had to reschedule. When I rescheduled, they called me to tell me the plumber called in sick. 2nd UPDATE: Technician arrived and repaired the issue in about an hour. Pricing was completely reasonable, as previously discussed. He apologized for not communicating earlier in the week. When I expressed frustration dispatch worked to determine when the part would be available and scheduled the repair quickly. UPDATE: Dispatch followed up with me as promised and has scheduled another service appointment to repair the water heater this week. OP: Referred by a local plumber as AP works on my specific water heater brand. Tech came out and diagnosed problem, said vendor computer was down so he was unable to order the part but would call me back when he heard back. Paid him $105 for the diagnostic. Tech left and didn't hear back from him within the next week. I called dispatch. They said the part would take one week to arrive. I agreed and they scheduled a service appt two weeks out. Morning of appt dispatch called to confirm the appt. Tech never arrived. Called dispatch. They said the part was not in and did not know why I was never contacted. They said they would look into it and get back to me. Never called me back. Again I am waiting for the part to come in but this time without any estimation of when that may be. 1 week? 59 weeks? Really poor customer service. The owner told me, "this is my company and we're not Burger King" and then he hung up on me. I guess he wanted to make sure I don't expect to get it my way. The temperature was not hot enough on the tankless water heater they installed. They wanted to charge me $85 AFTER THE FACT for increasing the temperature. They called the next day to say I owed them for the service call. This after coming after 7 PM for an afternoon appointment, and afer coming 4 different times to fix the water heater they finally replaced. The original water heater would not stay lit. The first time they came they wouldn't walk around my motorcycle and did nothing. The next day they lit the heater and left. I can light the heater, had already done so, and had told them I had done so. The third time they replaced a part, again the fourth time, and then we got a new tankless heater which they installed and locked the temperature at 120 degrees. GE Dishwashers recommend 150 degrees, OSHA recommends 140. I asked for 140. If they were going to charge me for the service call they should have told me when I called but they didn't. When I made this clear they said I had told them the water heater was not working. This simply is not true. I am an excellent communicator and I had told them the heater was not hot enough and please have the plumber increase the temperature by 20 degrees. I made sure to move my motorcycle just in case. I was clear the first time I called that I had to keep relighting the heater as it would not stay lit. They seem to have a communication problem. The story on their end changed several times, from my insisting they come after hours to I told them the heater wasn't working, to I'm not sure who you spoke to. They set the temperature at 120 for liability purposes and can't raise the temperature, yet their plumber did just that after having me sign a waiver. It can be done and it was. Now all this may seem trivial, however I really don't like being taken advantage of, I don't like being disrespected, I don't like being inconvenienced and having my time wasted, nor do I want my veracity questioned. You don't charge someone for service unless you have told them what the service will cost. When you make a mistake or have a misunderstanding you make sure the customer is satisfied. I recommend you steer clear of this company. read more

I called the following Monday to confirm and they had lost my appointment. They lost the appointment and had no remorse. They didn't offer to honor the original appointment. They simply didn't care.
