There's a running joke in my family that Dr. Mamikunian it our "family ENT"…read more he worked on my mom in 1996, took my tonsils out in 1998, my then husbands in 2005, my oldest daughters in 2009 & my youngest daughter will have hers out in December. Really not a fan of doctors who don't listen to and try to talk over their patients…read more I made this appointment because I have a long running, chronic, sinus condition involving inflammation, nose bleeds and heavy mucus production (going on 15 years at this point) that has slowly worsened. What I wanted was someone to put a scope up into my sinuses to see what exactly was going on in there, and to discuss if maybe there was some surgical option to improve my quality of life. Long story short - we never got around to either of those. As soon he found out that I sometimes take a generic version of Afrin to treat my symptoms, he became hyper-fixated on that and repeatedly tried to lecture me on it's dangers and basically blamed that for all of my problems. When I tried to point out I'd only started taking the generic Afrin-like drug during the last couple years, so it couldn't have been the fundamental problem here, he tried blaming my teenage allergies - which didn't make any sense because: 1. They ceased being a major problem years before my sinus issue started, and 2. They never affected my sinuses in the first place (I was/am allergic to some spring time pollen that makes my eyes bloodshot and itchy). Not that the doctor was at all listening by that point - he was too busy claiming that his 35 years of being a doctor meant that he knew what he was talking about (even though he didn't even bother giving me a through examination, just shined a light into my nostrils) and showing off the dozen or so bottles of Afrin he'd taken from previous patients. I ended up leaving with a prescription for Prednisone and some advice on how to use Claritin, Flonase and saline sinus flushing correctly, in exchange for a $325 bill. Not what I wanted and not worth the cost. I suppose I'll try getting the prescription filled and following the advice - maybe it'll help, but if it ends up making my condition even worse, I'm sure a medical malpractice lawyer won't be hard to find. In any case, I don't believe I'll be visiting Dr. Mamikunian again.

Dr. Kallman was able to fix my sinus problems from which I suffered for over 12 years! Best of all, my surgery was a smashing success with very minimal discomfort. Not like in the old days where you left the hospital with your nose all packed and in pain. Relatively painless with a very quick recovery. What more could I ask for? I highly recommend his services. Since my personal experience with Dr. Kallman, I have recommended his services to my friends and family. All have been completely satisfied. I have also brought my children to him for ENT services. Three years ago Dr Kallman removed my 13 year olds adenoids at our local surgery center. We went camping later thar same day. He's that good....

The audiologist was friendly and appeared competent. I had no issues with my tests or the hearing aids I bought. After they had my money, however, it has become impossible to get any follow up care or service. After a time, the battery on one of the hearing aids failed. I called for an appointment. They told me they were too busy to see me and to just drop off the hearing aid for her to look at. The hearing aids were still under warranty. I dropped off the hearing aid and they went silent. After a month, I called back, and they sounded like they never heard of me. After a considerable wait, they reluctantly admitted they had my aid ready. I tried to set an appointment to pick it up and make sure it was OK, but they told me it would be 4 months or longer to get an appointment. They said to just drop in and pick it up. I dropped in and picked the aid up. When I got it home, I found they had given me a replacement aid. The aid would not pair with my other one and would not connect to my phone app (a feature that was instrumental in my selection of that model aid). I called them back and told them about the problem. They told me to drop off the aid again. I refused and said I wanted to verify the aid worked correctly when they were done with it. They gave me an appointment 4 months in the future. I was not pleased. Nonetheless, I showed up for the appointment. They spent 90 minutes trying to pair the aid with my app and finally succeeded. By this time I was late for another appointment and didn't have time to get the aid calibrated. I limped along with the unbalanced aids for a few months until I could no longer stand it. I called them again and asked for an appointment to fix the sound of the right hearing aid. I was told to drop them off. I refused and said I must be present to verify that they had indeed calibrated them to match. They told me they had no appointments available for 4+ months. That's when I decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Alaska state medical board, and Yelp.

After years of going to…read moreanother ENT clinic that was later sold and renamed, I spent nearly two frustrating years being given the runaround with no real answers or solutions for my condition. That all changed the moment I met Valerie. Within just one hour of my first visit, she took the time to truly listen, thoroughly evaluate my situation, and accurately diagnose the severity of what I've been dealing with. For the first time, I felt heard and taken seriously. While my previous doctor told me there was nothing that could be done, Valerie immediately took action. She has already scheduled me for a tonsil removal in the next 30 days to address the recurring infections and strep throat I've suffered through--three times in the past 11 months. On top of that, she identified additional concerns, referred me to the appropriate specialists for my GERD, and put me on a clear path toward real healing. For years, I've lived with constant pain, discomfort, and vocal cord damage that has affected my ability to speak and function normally. In just one visit, Valerie and her team gave me hope, direction, and a plan. The level of care, professionalism, and compassion I experienced here is truly exceptional. I was taken care of from day one, and it's clear this team genuinely cares about their patients. If you're looking for real answers and providers who will actually take the time to help you--this is the place to go. Highly, highly recommend.

Today was disappointing... not so much about the level of care but based on when I called originally a few weeks ago to see if they treat a specific condition, I was told they do and have a few patients. Well, it turns out in less than 10 minutes, I'm told by the doctor that nothing can be done for me. That was extremely disappointing, it wasted money, a couple hours of my day to take time off work, drive into town and so on. It would be much better for the staff to know that something specific can't be treated rather than waste time for all parties, money and dash hope. As for everything else, check-in was prompt and I was taken back shortly after my scheduled appointment. The young man asking me questions didn't understand what I was being seen for and admittedly said he didn't know what to ask me. I didn't take offense, it's fairly rare. The doctor came in quickly, we spoke for a few minutes, mostly telling me things I already knew and unfortunately he told me there was nothing that could be done and I made my way to check out. I imagine their care is perfectly acceptable, as my previous ENT recommended I contact them, but as I said... it ended up being disappointing all around.
