ABSOLUTLEY HORRENDOUS. Waited 3 hours just to be called in. You're much better off going somewhere else for your procedure.

The room is small, filthy and badly needs painting. My dad has a room mate who had the television on so loud I could barely hear my dad speaking but I heard enough to gather that there was a fist fight involving others who came into the room the previous night. Needless to say he doesn't get much sleep there. There is a toilet in the bathroom but no sink. This facility is a hellhole and not a place where people can heal. We are desperately looking for another place where he can get the care and rest he so sorely needs.

How can I describe what I saw while visiting an aunt who is recovering from a horrible heart…read moreattack?... Horrendous. The nurse on the second floor, Glenda is the most awful person. I asked her to please help me move my aunt's legs since she was uncomfortable but she stated that she had no time for me. When I can't go in person, I call and when Glenda picks up, it is almost always with an attitude and a nasty tone. She claims she has 14 other patients she needs to take care of and for that reason, she has no time to check up on my aunt. She's always making up excuses as to why she can't go check in on a patient for two minutes. Not to mention, when it's lunch time, all of the nurses leave and not one or two is left to tend to the residents needs, so if someone needs help, they should just know that no one is going to help them because no one is there. It's sickening and unbelievable that residents have to be waiting for long periods of time when they need assistance. It's obvious that the place is understaffed but nothing is being done to change that. The overnight staff are terrible too. When someone calls them they come to them with a very nasty attitude and take forever to get to a resident; they don't care about the people they're supposed to be taking care of. I was told about two male NP's hitting the patients for no reason and they are very rough with them. I also noticed that my aunt's medication is never given to her on time, even the person next to her told me that most of the time they are in severe pain and the nurses just ignore and neglect them. The staff don't change their clothes daily, maybe 2 or 3 days later; they are very unhygienic. The supervisor and staff are highly unprofessional. This place is seriously the worst. It seems like they tend to forget that if it wasn't for all of the people at the rehab center, they wouldn't have this job in the first place. Please if you do care for your family DO NOT TAKE THEM TO THIS PLACE !!!!

So far, I'm happy with our new pediatrician group. This is a complete 180° from our experience with…read morethe practice that our daughter first visited, only days after leaving the hospital. This group consists of three, very competent doctors, who take parental concerns to heart. We are by no means, anti-vaxxers, but we do free concerns with the amount vaccinations given at one time. We expressed that from day one and asked for spacing out of some of our daughter's vaccinations to give her body time to adjust. The doctors worked with us as best they could so that we felt comfortable with each visit. They go over what's to be expected with our growing baby and offer suggesting to help promote her successful development. The office is clean, the front desk staff and nurses are pleasant and accommodating and they work with us to ensure we get the appointment dates that work within our schedules. Parking in the area is a bitch (not gonna lie) but there a garage at the beginning of the block and scarce street parking short walks away. The office is on the main floor of a residential building so usually the spots out front are all taken. Definitely give yourself enough time to park and walk to the building, especially if you're out and about alone, with a stroller and baby. If two parent are present, drop of one with the kid at the building while the other goes to park. It's just easier that way.

Reason why I will not give this pediatrics a five star is mostly due to scheduling and reception. I'm not sure who makes the phone appointments but I called and had to deal with this person on a couple of occasions. First time I had to set up an appointment as a new patient with my baby the receptionist seemed to have a condescending tone for simple questions that you would ask when setting up for a new patient and finding documents. Seem extremely annoyed when I would ask questions and condescending. Now I was recently out of a horrible experience with an emergency C-section so I thought it was just me being hormonal. But I recently missed an appointment and had a call from the receptionist asking if I was going to be any later than I was. Nice way to say hello to a patient I guess. I had thought my appointment was actually for the next day so a little confused by the question. She said there was going to be a $50 charge. no big deal understandable times are crazy. No argument from me I had missed calculated and just asked if I can reschedule. But instead of just charging the $50 And rescheduling for a different day the receptionist had a huge attitude and was super condescending again. I literally had to stop mid conversation to ask if she was OK because her tone was completely off. The doctors were average and I wouldn't mind going again but I actually switched doctors because I definitely do not want to deal with such a nasty attitude from reception every time I have to make an appointment for my daughter.

I'd heard great things about NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital on TikTok, but my experience was…read moredisappointing. Maternity: They calculated my due date about 15 days earlier and then told me they didn't have any availability, even when I told them my first child's due date was much later than the manual calculation. Billing: Separate instance, I was charged an extra amount on top of my insurance out-of-pocket maximum. I called their billing department, and the explanation was that it's "always the patient's responsibility to cover the NY surcharge tax." When I looked it up, it appeared that "insurance generally pays for the New York State Health Care Reform Act (HCRA) surcharges as part of the covered service cost." I contacted my insurance provider, and they confirmed the tax had already been included in the payment sent to the hospital over a month earlier. After I called back, they said the tax was applied automatically, but they checked again and confirmed my insurance had already paid more than the agreed amount, so they removed the tax. I can't imagine I'm the only person who's gone to the ER with insurance, and all patients may be automatically billed additional charges beyond their out-of-pocket maximum. For comparison, I've also been treated at NYU Langone Health and didn't encounter the same billing issue. Tip: Double-check your bill against your insurance EOB before paying.

The first ER entrance area is open and not crowded (even if you cannot stand straight you must wait in line standing) and there you register thinking that this is the only wait (two hours) but there was 5 hrs more inside... Once we entered to main ER area we were cramped into a passageway, chair next to chair as beds with screaming patients are rolling by., totally UNDERSTAFFED, apocalyptic hell, waited 7 hrs with 84 yrs old father in horrible pain on left side, he could barely walk, finally (6th hour) without proper exam/no bloodwork/no x-ray/no scans/no urine test he received bunch of painkillers and was discharged with paperwork noting that his right side (not left) was impacted!!! next to us was a man waiting over 7 hours for a cat scan and MRI; we were crowded with super sick people; staff is kind but they should not take patients as they cannot attend to them correctly and make egregious errors; we left with no tests, same pain is back even worse today ------ AVOID this HELL take an uber to a different ER anywhere but here!
