The quality of the care is state of the art and the staff is excellent. However, the room where the procedures are performed needs serious upgrading. It needs to be enlarged. It needs to be quieter. The layout is not good. The din was too loud and I could hear every conversation (about a half dozen) in the room even while waking up from anesthesia. In addition, before the procedure, I'm in a bed with my head 3 feet from a heavy door opening and shutting with a super loud and startling boom every 30 seconds. Fix the door where it can close quietly, or don't have a bed right next to it. I'd doze off then boom! Doze off boom doze off boom doze off boom for an hour. Most patients have been up much of the previous night prepping for their procedures and are tired. I could have used that hour waiting on the bed sleeping. Imagine a big heavy industrial style door slamming shut every few seconds right by your head. read more

i must admit after reading the reviews i was skeptical to come here but due to the lack of facilities in my area i had no choice. surprisingly everything that was stated in the previous reviews i found not to be true, maybe because i was early and one of the first appointments but they got me in and out quickly without any hiccups. Zero bedside manner. My dad got in the car and was in tears over how cold the staff was toward him. People are coming to this place for procedures that may be uncomfortable and cause anxiety. Communication and basic human decency go a long way but they just didn't seem to care. read more

They overbook patients at this office. Staff is nice but its disrespectful to your clients to ask you to come in early and when you do you make them wait hours. They have zero patient care. If you ever have MABEL assist you after your endoscopy be aware that she's rude. She does not give you time to recover. As soon as your awake she's rushing to get you out. It would have been a 5 star except she ruined the experience. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Last month they made we wait over 3 hours before my procedure. My doctor assured me when I come this monthe to have a second different procedure I would not have to wait. Well I have been waiting for 2 and 1/2 hours. They over book (not the doctors fault) just to make money. They took out some chairs for social distancing during covid-19 and make people wait outside in over 100 degree Temps. Also there is a nearby fire making the air quality extra bad. They say you can wait in your car but a lot of us were dropped off due to only patients can be here and also you can not drive yourself home. The overbooking done by this place is ridiculous. We had a 10:30 procedure and supposed to arrive at 10. At 9:55, the office was calling to inquire as to why we weren't there when we were in the lobby. It is now 11:44 and we still haven't been seen. My elderly mother hasn't had anything to eat or her medications yet today. Ridiculous!!!! read more

OUTSTANDING! Had a colonoscopy this morning at Advanced Endoscopy and Pain Center and was very impressed with the professionalism, care, and facility, all top notch. Much better than my last one 12 years ago in Burbank so maybe procedures have improved over the years. The staff is very organized and the procedure went like clockwork, in and released in 2 hrs! Amazing! I would highly recommend them. The anesthesiologist doctor was very competent and Dr. Wong was excellent. Have to admit that colonoscopy's are not a fun thing but the staff here made it as pleasant and painless as possible, thanks to all! I would like to add, that I see several NEGATIVE reviews which are completely the opposite to my experience making me wonder if the patients were completely out of touch with reality, had a personal ax to grind, and maybe the facility has improved drastically since they reviewed it. My experience was one of the best that I've had in the AV when it comes to medical treatment, right up there with City of Hope and Renaissance imaging. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My father in laws appointment was at 3:15 and it is now 4 pm. We got here at 2:30 and they said he was next and it would be 30-40 minutes. Now they are saying another 10-15 minutes. Half of the nurses are shooting the breeze and and buying stuff from an outside sales rep.... Looked like teeth whitening kits to be honest. So unprofessional. For procedures where you don't allow your patients to eat or drink ( my father in law has had nothing since 7 am), don't make them wait longer than they have to. read more

I'm not real satisfied with my healthcare system here in the AV....as I'm sure many are not either. Long waits to see doctors, rescheduling all the time for their unexpected vacation, only work one day a week,,,,I could go on. But my Doctor (one of the best thank God) scheduled me with an upper GI and Colonoscopy at this place. So as always I decided to YELP them. I was HORRIFIED! Prep is bad enough, now I would have to endure what everyone else was saying? Oi Vey! Well, they sure were on top of things. They must have made 3-4 calls between the day the appointment was made and the appointment. I was actually 10 minutes away from arriving and she called again to see if I was on the way. Yep! Never had any bad attitude. The front office girls were kind and pleasant. They took me back right away and the RN that took all my info (it was her Birthday) actually stepped away for a few minutes and I heard everyone singing Happy Birthday. That made me smile. When she came back she apologized and explained a doctor was leaving and they wanted to do this before he left. After 2 day proper I teased her and said, "WHAT? No Cake for me?" she laughed. They got an IV in right away and that RN was a sweetheart to. Rolled into the room and the anesthesiologist was very nice as was the doctor and staff. And like all procedures when being put under, you're up and awake in what seems like minutes. I lie in the bed letting the anesthetics wear off then after a good 30 minutes I was ready to get dressed and leave. The rolled me out in a wheelchair to my waiting husband outside, motor running. Absolutely no respect for their patients. They schedule someone for a colonoscopy at 230pm after the person has not eaten for 2 days to prep and are an hour late taking them in and basically refuse to give office manager name. They say to call and ask to speak to the Doctor. Lol. F these people. They were more concerned about how i would be paying my deductible. read more

This place is horrible . my husband had an appt at 8:45. And here we are sitting still at 10:20. They changed his appt from 1145 to 845 asked him to come earlier and then they moved his appt without telling him . I spoke to a manager and she told me he will be are at his appt time . we'll no we are still waiting . not to mention they have prisioners in the back. Just sharing my positive experience today at Advanced Endoscopy and Pain Center. Starting yesterday the nurse there called to let me know they had an morning opening in lieu of my 1:45 appt. That made me really happy. She went over my pre operative process and gave me a tip to mix my GaviLyte solution with something like Crystal-lite to help with the taste. And my tip of using a straw help drink this cocktail made it much easier also. Today at around 6:35am I was checked in and asked to wait in the waiting room. Two other people there before me were taken back while I was waiting. Around 7am I was taken back. A nurse verified all my medical history and she was very through to confirm she understood me and I her. Then I was hooked up to an IV which was almost painless. Not 5 minutes after hooked up I was rolled back to the procedure room where I meet Dr Madhavan. He was very nice to me and asked me the standard questions and chit chat about my family cancer history. He was assisted by a younger male nurse that reviewed my medical history with me again. The anesthesiologist introduced his self to me and put oxygen tube in my nose. After the knockout medicine was injected into my IV I don't remember anything else. Next thing I know is that I woke up in recovery. The nurse walked over to check on me and she was very friendly. Then Dr Madhavan checked in on me and said everything was fine. All in all my experience in this facility was good. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Have not even gotten my procedure done yet and this place is already terrible. They changed my appointment time and every time they call me or I call them they provide opposite information of another person that works there/Kaiser doctors or they ask ridiculous questions. Many of the workers that answer the phone call are bratty and disrespectful females that respond to anything you say with attitude, but what else should we expect in the AV right? Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Showed up 45 minutes before my appointment. Wasn't taken back until an hour and forty five minutes after my appointment. Then sat in the waiting room after my appointment to be seen by the doctor because he had to do two more procedures before he spoke to me. Let me add that the place looked run down and not like a medical facility. Nothing about the room made me feel comfortable and they leave the doors open to your room while performing a colonoscopy. So anyone walking by can see. It's an incredibly comfortable feeling, having absolutely no privacy when you're so exposed. read more

My husband and I both had the exact procedures done within a week of each other and the only reason this business is not getting a 5 star is because of Brittany. She is rude, has no phone demeanor and is the last person I would want in the forefront of my business. I thought maybe it was a fluke last week until she acted exactly the same this week when she called for my info. The staff called prior to the appointment and verified insurance coverage and appt. info. Today, I was greeted and called in 15 minutes before my procedure. Kelly (billing), John Michael (Started the IV), John (Anesthesiologist), Mary Beth (Nurse) and the rest of the staff, with one exception, were caring, helpful, respectful and professional. They made sure I was comfortable and all information was confirmed and re-confirmed. When I was in recovery they made sure I was feeling ok, offered a beverage and asked if I needed any help. Dr. Tyagi is great and gave copies of info that you could actually read and explained everything in detail. Highly recommend Dr. T and this business. read more

Had endoscopy with stricture dilation in Feb 2015. The facility was clean and ahead of schedule so there was no waiting. The staff was courteous and helpful and sensitive to the needs of an 87 year old man. We would highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for excellent treatment and compassionate care. I had to pay $100 pre-procedure to be able to get proper sedation. My insurance company did not pay for it as they did not submit a report. After my insurance and I paid my bill in full, I began being hounded for more charges. I called the billing department, could not get in touch with anyone, had to leave a message. Booked an appointment for a colonoscopy, the earliest that I could get was in 3 weeks at 9 15 am. I got a call from them the day before the procedure and they had to change to 11 30am. I had all ready started the prep and and arranged transportation so I had to except. When I told them that I was referred by High Desert on 15th st. It seemed as though I was treated like a second class citizen.or that's the way they treat everyone now. I've had 2 previous colonoscopy there have to get one yearly witch went well, what's happen poor management or greed. Not even a paper gown I was told to leave my top on and remove my pants and cover up with a blanket. After the procedure my nose was running profusely and felt like throwing up, when I asked for Kleenex I was given a paper towel and they had to search for a barf tray. Somewhat cleaned up and awake I was released out the side door in my slimy sweatshirt. Good doctors and help, extremely poorly managed! read more
