It was my first time at the new office of Dr Moinfar. I was seen 15-20 mins later and it felt like she was in a hurry. I pointed 2 skin signs that was bothering me. After the procedure was done I asked her if she would ck my skin for other signs she replied that we need it another appointment for her to check it. Really? $ 400 out of pocket for the 10 mins appointment ? ( I have PPO insurance ) I will choose another dermatologist next time. read more

I was referred to Dr.Moinfar by a friend and seen her many times within the last year and have been very impressed with her! She's very personable, easy to talk to and is not in a rush during your appointment. She doesn't try and push treatments or products and really listens to me. Have recommended her to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so! My younger daughter has seen Dr.Abdollahi past year for acne, and we love her also. I am fairly new to Advanced Dermatology. Great stuff, love Dr. Monifar. I had almost no wait time. Great staff.

My daughter (12) had a suspicious mole on her back that I wanted checked out. We saw Dr Abdollahi upon the recommendation of a relative. I could not be happier with the care my daughter received from Dr Abdollahi. I don't normally write reviews. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Total mill. Never on time. Asked the dr about freezing off age spots at next exam and she responded that she would have to see how much time they booked for her! Mind you, I scheduled an 8 am appt so I would not have to wait hours to see her. Here's another good one..... wanted to email report of prior dr. Was told Advanced Dermatology does NOT have email????!!! Really? Are we in the dark ages? Further questioning resulted in this doozy of a response.... Not Hippa approved. That is hilarious since every dr we know has and uses email. AVOID THIS GROUP ! They are just dreadful. Horrible MILL mentality! read more

I have avoided doctors and hospitals of every sort of like the plague my whole life. Being a surfer with fair skin, I especially dreaded the thought of going to a dermatologist bc in the past they've told me I can't go in the sun anymore. Today I went to get looked at for the first time in almost 15 years, instead of berating me for neglecting my skin, which was in bad shape they calmly, clearly explained my situation without being dramatic like my past experience has been with some dentists and dermatologists. I had a great experience with Dr Abdollahi and her staff from start to finish. Pricing is good, especially for Orange County. If your like me, dreading this type of appointment, don't delay, it's vital. Nice staff, clean office, very courteous and professional. read more

Very upset. I was charged double for "Lab Pathology." Once by the lab they sent out samples to ($200) and then again by Dr. A ($200) for just reading the lab report. What 3 minutes time? When I called the office they told me that because Dr. A. has some kind of pathology license, when she just reads the lab pathology work, she can charge. All I know is that when I get lab work done I usually don't get charged by the doctor to just read the report. I usually get that with the office visit. Very disappointed. read more

I would highly recommend Advanced Dermatology. The staff and the doctors are so friendly and helpful! I went to Dr. Moinfar for botox and fillers and I cannot praise her enough! She did a great job. She is very skilled with cosmetic treatments. She took a lot time to personalize the treatments for my type of skin and face and the results show. I also went to Dr. Abdollahi for a full body scan and she was very thorough and professional as well! They are both excellent doctors who really care about their patients. Looking for a new Dermatologist, I was referred here by my good friend. I have a busy work schedule and the office staff were so kind and were able to accommodate and scheduled me right away. I went in for a routine skin check-up and the doctor was so sweet and took her time. She answered a lot of my questions about tanning. I learned so much from that one visit. I scheduled another visit to get Botox and it was a great experience!! The doctor was so gentle and the results were amazing! This was the best referral from my friend! I have red hair and very light skin...a dermatologists dream. I have been to MANY dermatologists throughout my life but none compare to Drs. Moinfar and Abdullahi. Very personable, thorough, caring and excellent surgeons. I have many ugly scars from other derms but their work is virtually undetectable. LOVE them both. Was looking for a new dermatologist to take care of some abnormal moles. They were more than happy to fit me in. The care I received I was top notch. Dr Abdollahi, who goes by Dr A, helped answer all of my questions and helped alleviate concerns I had about my moles. She is very knowledgeable, super personable and cute to boot! I never felt rushed and she treated me like I was the only patient she had. My biopsies healed wonderfully. I felt the level of care I received was top notch. All in all a great dermatology practice with a friendly staff and excellent doctors. Also, the view from the patient rooms adds to the charm of this place. I was in very poor condition, and was able to experience her human kindness. I've been seeing Dr. Moinfar for 2 years. She is very thorough in looking for and treating all of the "too many years of sun" issues. She makes sure any of the possible melanomas are treated before they become problems. She listens and is cheery while professional. I'll give 5 stars when the "appointment times" and the "actually be seen" times match more closely. I've had to wait for a half hour before being told it would still be another 10-15 minutes. If you are taking time off from work or have a busy schedule it is best to call ahead and make sure the dr is running on time before you leave for the appointment. Either way, Dr. Moinfar is great. read more

Dr. Moinfar came highly recommended. On my first and only visit, I refused to sign the arbitration agreement, as the form said I would not be denied treatment if I refused to sign. Subsequently, the staff told me I would not be permitted into the examing room unless I signed. I signed with a note: "Under Protest". The doctor called me in and changed the story, stating she would not treat me due to my medical condition. I asked for the return of all my medical information. Some, not all, of the papers I filled out were returned, but the doctor refused to provide me with the computer notes. I am in the process of trying to obtain them. My husband also went to her today, (prior to my appointment) and now he is concerned that they will stop treating him. We'll see.... read more
