My doctor is Dr. Hick who works out of this office a couple days a week with his fantastic assistant Cheyenne. I've been seeing Dr. Hick for my skin cancer treatments for years starting in Manhattan Beach. He is just the best. Bedside manner unparalleled. The detail that I get From him in the office changes my life. Today was more pre-cancerous treatments, and once again you walk out feeling secure that you have a doctor that cares I was raised by a mom who just dropped us off at the beach with a bologna sandwich and a juice box and said see you at four. I pay for that now and it's Dr. Hick who takes care of me. I highly recommend him and his staff. read more

I had the most incredible experience with my PA Julie Kramer! I originally came in just for cool sculpting, but I was convinced to also get IPL and I am SO grateful for her recommendation. I am truly fascinated by IPL. I have a lot of sun damage/ freckles on my face from years of surfing and I honestly did not expect to see results as quickly as I did, but WOW was it incredible. After just 2 weeks my freckles quite literally fell off, and I now have the skin of an angel in just ONE treatment. Julie, thank you for introducing me to my new love, IPL. I cannot wait for more future treatments! Now on to the cool sculpting. I had the treatment done on my stubborn belly fat (the pooch as we so fondly call it). I am an avid exerciser and have some ab muscles but could not for the life of me get rid of this. Liposuction did not interest me as it seemed far too invasive, so I figured why not give this a try. I am only 3 weeks in but I swear I can already see the tightening, and I was told I won't have by best results for another 3 months which is really exciting! My belly is still kind of numb and it was definitely a little painful following the treatment but hey, no pain no gain am I right? I have been going to this office for over 20 years. Dr Kramer and his PA Lauren could not be nicer, more professional, and knowledgable. They are both fantastic. Dr. Kramer now has a new esthetician in his office, Inor is her name. She is the rudest professional that I have ever had. She is very pushy with services, products and even tips. She has no customer service. I would rather pay double and go where I am treated with respect and professionalism. I am surprised Dr. Kramer has someone in his office with this attitude. In my opinion she would drive business away, not bring business to him. I will continue to go to Dr. Kramer and Lauren, but I will never use the facialist again. Very disappointing. read more

I have been going here for years, haven't had any issues with procedures until yesterday. I got a missed call from them regarding an appointment I had scheduled, the afternoon before my appointment date. I called that afternoon and left a voicemail saying that unfortunately I would have to reschedule that app due to work commitments. The receptionist told me that they were going to keep my $200 deposit due to me not calling them 48 hours before. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALL 48 HOURS BEFORE WHEN I WAS REMINDED 24 HOURS BEFORE. I did tell the receptionist that if she wanted to take that approach then I would no longer be returning there as a client or referring other clients and she said... thats fine. Well if she was my staff member I would certainly have something to say. I understand policies and reminding clients within their cancellation period is a MUST when doing business, not 24 hours afterwards. read more

First off, the front desk and assistants are all very lovely and friendly (unlike my last derm office in LA where everyone acted like they hated their lives). The office is really nice and updated with plenty of parking, conveniently located next to a Nordstrom Rack ;) I've been to Julie the PA for several different procedures ranging from IPL to cyst removal and I can't recommend her enough. She's really cool and easy to talk to. Never in a rush and always does great work. I was on a quest to get rid of some sun damage on my chest before summer and I'm really happy with my results (2 IPL sessions and a chemical peel). Can't say enough good things! read more

Honorable people make mistakes and correct them. Dishonorable people make mistakes and don't, or conduct themselves in conscious, unscrupulous behavior and thereby the thought of correction doesn't penetrate their minds. On Monday, September 24th, I contacted the office in Anaheim regarding a bill they created on my behalf via Labcorp. Though I get my pregnancy tests INDEPENDENT of Labcorp (because they are over priced), this office decided to send them an order for a pregnancy test which I was invoiced for to the tune of ONE HUNDRED AND TEN DOLLARS! I called the office and spoke with Andrea, who confirmed that they indeed re-sent the order in ERROR-for the hcg test, even though I had crossed out that portion of the order prior to Labcorp drawing my blood. I also spoke with Lauren, who assured me the bill would be rescinded and they would take care of it on their end; contacting Labcorp directly. I told her to forward the confirmation of the waived fee to me e-mail, as it should be in writing. Since I hadn't heard from them, I called Kramer's office to get confirmation of the waived fee, but all I've gotten is the run-around. History: I began paying (cash) doctor Kramer for dermatological help in August 2018. From the beginning I sensed he did not like nor appreciate my presence. I've visited his office numerous times and have NEVER seen any Black people, either as clients nor patients and certainly NOT employees. He overcharged me for Sculptra (which gave my eyes twitches, because of where he placed the injections and I had to lay down for over 20 minutes before I could see normally) and though he said my treatment would have $125 off the cost, that was quickly rescinded, so I paid $1400 for a one time injection. Later found out other offices in the area, charged half the price. He strikes me as money-hungry and discriminatory. His follow-up visits cost me $85, though the last follow-up visit was conducted by his P.A. (which should've been a lower fee) and the one prior to that was him just writing a prescription. And though he started me on Myorisan, he didn't even bother to check my skin and see (to make suggestions) on what I could do about the dry skin, red eyes, etc. Again, horrible treatment toward me; absolutely discriminatory. Keep in mind, the P.A. didn't come to see me until AFTER I had waited in a freezing room for over half-an-hour. After the visit with the P.A., which was the same cost as the visit I would've had with him, I saw Kramer near the counter; he didn't even acknowledge my presence. Most decent, non-discriminating doctors, at the very least, would've said "hello". The last straw with me has been this issue with the erroneous invoice from Labcorp. Kramer's office (Aesthetic Dermatology) admitted this is their error and promised to contact Labcorp to get the charge waived. I was to have my written confirmation YESTERDAY. I called today to find out why I had not received confirmation of the discarded fee and was told I needed to speak with "Pat" (who handles their billing). I spoke with Pat and she told me she knew NOTHING about this issue. So by this time I re-boiling. All I could think was "why are they so unprofessional and disorganized?" and "why has this seemingly easy mistake (if it wasn't fraud) not been corrected by now, with written confirmation of reversal?" I would NOT recommend this doctor nor this office. read more

The most amazing dermatologists. I am so glad I found this place! I met with Julie Kramer and cannot recommend her enough. She made everything so easy and saved my skin! I've struggled with breakouts forever and Julie took the time to listen to my concerns about my skin. She prescribed me meds during our visit and since then - this is the most clear my skin has ever consistently been (and I'm 30!)... I am truly so grateful. Julie also gave me botox in my forehead / eye area. She's very meticulous and did an incredible job. I've had one other botox experience but Julie was significantly better (still have expression in my face - look young but not totally frozen) and will probably only trust Julie from here on out! I met with Lauren and Bailey and these wonderful ladies provided me with excellent care. I am a stickler when it comes to health care professionals. My health is critically important to me and I only want to work with people who are knowledgeable and responsive. Lauren and Bailey exceeded my expectations. They performed a thorough medical examination, took detailed notes, answered all of my questions, followed up swiftly with lab results, and never made me feel rushed or pressed for time. Their bedside manners were impeccable. They even smiled as they did their job. One other thing I will mention, because I think that it is important, is that the staff was very cheerful and friendly, not just to me, but also to each other. This goes beyond good customer service. This means that employee morale is high, a telling sign for any business. You want people who like their jobs, especially in medicine, because they're more likely to stick around for the long-haul. These are the people who are going to intimately know your medical history and have a vested interest in you as a patient. Dr Hick has been amazing for my sons that have bad acne. He also teaches at UCLA! It's someone I can put my trust into. He doesn't update you on anything and is very honest! I have to say Bailey has been sooooo helpful, jumping through hoops to make my life easier dealing with other dermatologists in a different state when we needed records transferred and took it on for me (which she didn't have to do and dealing with unpleasant people on the other end. She totally understands customer service going the extra mile for someone. Maria is just as amazing, doing the same thing for us by doing whatever she can for helping us with difficult people at labs and squeezing my son in to see Dr. Hick (because accutane makes you be exact on seeing the Dr once a month on the same date every month. V beam laser is amazing for my recovery of rosacea! I have tried every pill and ointment I can over the last 5 years with Dr. Kramer and thought V beam was "too expensive". Well the results are fantastic and it SAVES me money by weaning me off all of the other medications I have been taking. Julie Kramer is so beautiful inside and out and her technique for the V beam is astounding. I went here once and never went back. I was assigned Dr. Hick as I did not know any better, probably should have asked for Dr. Kramer as he has all the good reviews on here. I waited a while to see the doctor even though I was on time for my appointment, then he was rushed through the entire appointment when I told them what the appointment was for on the phone. Barely gave half answers to my questions and cut off a mole for biopsy that left a bad scar for 6 months or more. I inquired about laser hair removal and he basically told me nothing and recommended I make another appointment. He did not seem to have planned to spend more than 5 minutes with me and was bothered by my questions. He was somewhat rude and abrasive. I had other questions but did not bother asking them. Also they could not tell me how much the appointment would cost even though they had my insurance information for weeks. I have a much better dermatologist now who is patient and helpful. read more

First I would like to say I had a bad experience with another local Dermatologist, Dr. Sikorski, and after my initial consultation with her I was so put off by the whole unprofessional experience that it took me several years to muster up the courage to see another Cosmetic Dermatologist again. But when I did, I entered Dr. Edward Kramers office....... Night & Day difference! He restored any and all confidence I had with seeing a Dermatologist again. He took his time. Really looked closely at my skin. Made notes of his findings as well as gave me options. I especially appreciated the time and honest feedback. And he genuinely seemed empathetic about how I felt. I'm very self conscious and I have very oily skin he realized this recommended I immediately go on Retin A cream while I thought about the other options they had to offer. His staff was amazing and friendly. His office is clean and new. I stop by every few months to pick up a tube of Retin-A cream and I'm greeted with a friendly smile every time. And if and when I'm ready to take a leap of faith, I'll definitely do it with Dr. Kramer. read more

I definitely agree with the reviews so far. This place deserves 5 stars! I have be here to see Dr. Kramer twice. The first time was to remove a cyst and the second time was to have him look at an oil burn I got while cooking. Both times I left feeling really taken care of. The staff from the front desk to the doctor himself are extremely friendly. The receptionist is so sweet. When I called in to make an appointment I felt like I was talking to family! The nurse is awesome. She's very knowledgable, helpful and caring. She always makes conversation and makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. After I got my cyst removed I wanted to take a picture of it, and the nurse helped me spread it out on the tray for maximum effect lol. And lastly, Dr. Kramer takes care of all my concerns fully and completely. He answers any questions I have and gives me samples so I don't have to go out and buy expensive creams or gels just to use a little bit. And if the great services here aren't reason enough, the office is located right next door to Loehmanns! Woohoo! Perfect for passing time if you're early for an appointment or waiting on someone else. I like this place so much I'm actually on time for my appointments, which says a lot. read more

I went to this center for PRP treatments for thinning hair. I met the PA who is super nice a friendly. She told me I was a very good candidate for PRP. But I had zero results after the first, second, third, and the fourth treatment! She kept telling me most people see results after third or fourth dose. I spent 2K out of pocket with zero difference in how my hair looked before and after. I believe since I had zero growth after 2 doses or treatments someone should've told me that I might not be a good candidate. I am very disappointed, lost lots of $$$ and time for no good reason! Research for more options/centers before you go there. read more

Went in as a walk in . They said we can see you in 25 minutes . After waiting 60 I decided to leave when they said they can now see me . A PA the daughter of the doctor examined me and said it's suspicious and we need to take a biopsy. I said I am leaving to get another opinion, I did and it was just a legion that they froze off in 5 minutes elsewhere. This is a dishonest establishment looking for ways to make more profits . Listen guys, this place changed my life. I was suffering from severe cystic acne on my neck and after seeing numerous dermatologists that did nothing but want to put me back on accutane or give me anti- biotics I found this place. Lauren is beyond amazing and her knowledge of skin is truly remarkable. Furthermore, the entire staff couldn't be nicer. They are always in such a good mood and have treated me like family. Horrible experience today, the receptionist barely acknowledged me when I arrived and then had me update my old file of 5 years ago by crossing out my previous contact info in lieu of updating my info in the computer and having me confirm it. Next I experienced a PA that obviously had very little experience with botox injections and I was asked to mark my own head for injection locations but upon handing me the white pencil and the mirror, the mirror collapsed on the bridge of my nose wherein an ice pack was needed to prevent swelling and bruising. Although not her fault I ended up with a throbbing headache prior to my injections. I was told that botox injections are $14 per unit which is way out of the norm around the area but that they charge per area and if I wanted 3 areas it would cost me $800. I was in total disbelief and was told that other doctor's and nurses must not know what they were doing and this was a dermatologist office and you get to come back for touch up for free if not injected properly. lol! After my injections were complete and it was time to settle payment I was told that they did not accept care credit. I was given every excuse why and when I questioned the receptionist ( the same girl that checked me in) she began to raise her voice at me and become defensive. She went round and round and talked over me-- unfortunately I wasn't prepared to pay cash and the attitude I received was less than acceptable. My nose was throbbing and my head aching and I asked her if she could please calm down and quit being so defensive and calm her voice. Then there was the Brilliant Distinction discussion and I will leave it to your imagination on how that turned out. Needless to say I will only return to that office to make sure the botox injections I received don't need further attention. I work in sales and no referrals to this office will ever come from me. read more
