I graduated from this school in August of 2021. I took my state boards March 17,2022 and passed on the first try. I can first tell you first hand that the nursing program is difficult but if you are able to make necessary adjustments, be honest, listen first before responding, you will do well. I personally faced many adversities,not to mention fighting a pandemic in the process but I didn't give up. I allowed those before me to guide and made decisions to allow them to lead me to victory! Yes it tough, yes you will want to give up, and yes you will question if your even smart enough to be a nurse. I know because I was that person. I can tell you you are not alone and if it wasn't for these nursing instructors at Advanced college, I wouldn't be the nurse I am today. Do not recommend at all! I wasted time and money here for nothing. I felt like our opinion wasn't a thing for them all I ever heard was "So what's the issue I don't get it " I came here to be a nurse not a pretend nurse as everything that was taught to us was either pretend or videos. When I stated I was better off at another school as a RN. My review is not a angry student post! I passed my nicked and graduated from this school! I am a licensed nurse now. My review is just honesty all around and here to help the next. Unprofessional is the best word. The director and clinical supervisor and teacher are all good friends 2 of them are sisters! This circle of 3 good friends and family is a conflict especially when you have a issue with 1 of them it's pointless to report it since they all are close and 2 are family. They don't teach well, a lot os teaching yourself. They aren't consistent in the way they teach. It changes like you change your underwear. They don't teach skills correctly and don't even have working equipment. A lot is falling apart. Granted the real world not everything is perfect but for the money your paying you can find a school with the proper stuff to teach. They are really good at making you feel as if you can trust them but better believe they tell other students and before you know it everyone involved. They tell you to rat on your peers and they pick favorites!! Yes they do no matter how much they say they don't. At times they can be helpful mind you it's when it's to their liking or feeling. Good mood their in. But that's rare. They switch what they tell you, handbooks are changed constantly and they never have answers to anything. And they can't give definitive clinicals or days and times, if they want to switch it they will and guess what? Your handbook says they can! They really make you feel as if you have to kiss their ass or dumb yourself down just to keep them off your ass. They don't like if you question them or over ask stuff. Don't be too smart or too lazy and if you do other classes will hear about you! Trust me I can name people from other classes and the stuff they did! I graduated July 24 but they had my class still attending till mid September for a boot camp that was bogus! They always say they are doing you a favor like that camp. I attended few days and it was a joke it was just testing us a million times for stuff I had passed, granted most of the class probably needed help but tutoring not just testing them since clearly they weren't passing the test! Out of my class of 11 I have been the only one to pass nclex!! 3 of us got the ok to test the rest hadn't yet. That right there goes to show on the teaching. It reflects the teaching in so many ways! Also the director knows the bvnpt people and will say go ahead and call them she my friend. So that right there tells you don't do it. Basically getting into this school is a nightmare! School is stressful enough and a lot of work you don't need the unnecessary drama this school and teachers add! Do it at your own risk! But your warned and know they seem to enjoy the drama since a lot of it is caused by the teachers unprofessionally being too close to others and telling students crap about others that then divides students and causes more drama! Decide for yourself! When you walk through the campus ask to touch and see the equipment. Talk to students there! Dig deeper! It's funny because us students always laugh and make faces when people sign up and say don't do it( of course when your sitting there you don't know if they are talking to you but they are) they are warning you! Again I'm not angry I'm just honest and when I was there I had to dumb myself down to make them feel better about themselves and let them feel as if they are so better and all. This school is a joke. They sale there pitch on the NCLEX is high when only 10 students have the curate and confidence to take the test. Other schools have hundreds of student taking the NCLEX. With a high passing rate. Very poor instructors and staff team. All they CARE about is collecting there monthly fees. Very poor environment, atmosphere and the list can continue on.... This school, for me is really good not so hard to pass just as long as you study. We are all adult students here so we will be treated like one. Its up to the students if they want to succeed. It is difficult to be in a nursing program but you gotta give it your best to go far. Dr. Mona has help me a lot as far as passing the nclex. She will guide you through but if you ignore her advice and dont pass the nclex, the school is not to blame. She is also a good teacher because she does not bs, she will go straight to the point and does/will not confuse u. I highly recommend this school. I regret going to this school i finished my medical assistant course in 2011 and I'm still paying loan... this school never helped me find a place for my internship I had to go out and find a medical office that allowed me to do my internship and I never found a a job as a medical assistant. I would never recommend any trade schools for anyone they are all about making money. So don't waste your time and go to a community college... my college professor told us how he once worked for a trade and stated "trades schools are the worse schools ever" he also mentioned that if he didn't pass his students he'd get in trouble. Also credits at trades schools are not transferable.. please don't let these people fool you and get a real education at community college. read more

Dont bother coming to this school I graduated on 01/2015, I was charged in my tuition for nclex fees but since I went on my own I had to pay nclex fees in other words twice because school would not give me the ok to take nclex and instead of encouraging me i was feeling discouraged. I then scheduled nclex on my own on 3/23/2015 and I passed all on my own, throughout the whole year I was studying on my own pretty much, they change staff frequently well at least when I was in school. When I notified the owner i had went to take nclex on my own first thing she said you do know you failed, she was trying to make me feel bad for going on my own but nclex was easy for me because my long hours studying alone helped me a lot and I knew the moment I walked out of taking nclex I had passed.I honestly was i truly disappointed to had signed up for this school because I felt I was on my own. It's been 1 year and a half after I graduated and never received a diploma or certificate of completion of the program nor we had a graduation ceremony, if you are a student who is looking to be successful and have a great learning experience this is not the school for you. read more

LOOK ELSEWHERE! This is a do it your self school. If you don't do your own ready and ATI online courses, you will fall behind and not know what is going on. This school has very outdated equipment for you to practice your skills, including broken mannequins with missing limbs, non-working "patient" beds, etc... They change instructors very frequently without notice! Meaning you may come in and you have no more teacher for a couple weeks. And the teachers that are there, when asked a question that they should have knowledge to, they reply "Google it". Even though it is a private school, it's very pricey at $32,700 for Vocational Nursing. Financial aid will hunt you down to make your payments before hand. After you are done with the course, for NCLEX prep, Dr. Mona lets you know what are your lowest scores from the exams during the year (which I already knew since I always wrote them down) and has you re-take all the exams over alone....not much prep if you ask me. There is no real "review" besides what you do on your own. The president Dr. Mansurian is not approachable at all! She definitely feels like she is above everyone & will go off if you try to tell her your concern. The only positive person there is Kaoru who does it all! Lastly, they do NOT have a graduation for you and you are not given your certificate of completion till you pass NCLEX! Sounds dumb right?! This is a great school. If you do the assigned reading, homework, and don't miss lecture, you will do fine. The curriculum is spoon-fed to the students to enhance understanding of the material studied. Dr. Mona is phenomenal at getting the students prepared for the NCLEX exam (state licenture), as well as lecturing on Mental Health. The staff is very supportive and helpful in all aspects. Because of the staff I felt confident in taking the NCLEX. I passed on the first try. I'm a current student here and I wish getting out could be as easy as 123 but no this school will manipulate you and tell you things you want to hear so you will sign up and get into debt all they want is your money and will do everything to get it. They do not care about anybody but them selves and simply the school is very unprofessional always leaving questions unanswered everything is last minute and always try to avoid you! They also leave you unprepared for clinical's which everything is bad because you put your career on the line!
